I placed an absentee on a painting being sold by Davis Brothers through LiveAuctioneers. The auction house clearly engaged in shill bidding to increase the price to my absentee bid. In response to my charge Davis Brothers claims that they received the other bids through other platforms. However theres no record of same and the auction house declines to provide me with the bid history to verify their claim.

Hello, I won a set of Urns from Davis Brothers through Live Auctioneers on July 29th, 2023 for $700.00 plus the premium and THIER QUOTED shipping. This company, Davis Brothers, is in fact committing wire fraud through Live Auctioneers. I asked Davis Brothers Auction, 'What would the shipping cost be before placing my bid?' I was told it would be $250 to ship to ******* ** ***** by Davis Brothers. After winning the item, I was invoiced double the shipping cost. Shipping was $500 and I didn't learn of that until days later when I tried to take it off my invoice, so I could pay the agreed amount. Only after me having to ask Davis Brothers, dozens of times, to send me a new invoice, telling them to remove the shipping from the invoice so I could pay the quoted price. I was left in the dark. After Davis Brothers failed to help me, I went to Live Auctioneers to have them remove the shipping cost for me. Live Auctioneers told me they could not change the invoice as if the platform was not theirs. I sent Live Auctioneers a screenshot of the original shipping cost. Emailed Live Auctioneers again to remove the shipping, they said that they would send me a new invoice. After Live Auctioneers failed to send a new invoice. Davis Brothers filed a dispute against me when I did everything in my power to pay and not have this happen. I now know that Live Auctioneers is not only aware of this wire fraud, and are complicit in their platform, but will punish customers with extortion. If customers really wants the item, they will, in the end, be forced to pay, after lying to them shipping. I contacted their *** Store with the weight and dimensions. The *** Store said $150 to ship both Urns. Davis Brothers went several steps past price gouging. I told Live auctioneers add the $250 to complete. Live Auctioneers and Davis Brothers Never provided new invoices. Laws broke. 18 US Code ****, 15 US Code 77q,OIG FMCSA @ OIG.GOV under DOT regulation, this is entirely unlawful.

I ordered a coin and a small booklet of coins. They charged a 25% fee which is acceptable. They then overcharged shipping should have only been less than $10 and they charged $30. I complained which they ignored and proceeded to charge my card. The invoice only says shipping not handling so I feel this is a very dishonest business practice.
