  I was bidding online from ******* in an online auction for this company. I was stopped immediately and banned period I reached out to them to see why this was when they approved me to bid and had my ******** express on file. They would not respond back to me, I then left a ****** review and their response was that I was a thief and tried to steal jewelry. But they charge my credit card for the lots that I did win. Never do business with this company. This auction is horrible.They are the real thieves and scammers.

  My experience with Davis Brothers Auction was far from typical or enjoyable, though it served as a reminder that relying on an intermediary for swift online transactions can sometimes backfire. During an online auction, I encountered a significant issue when the website crashed mid-eventa problem acknowledged and documented by their IT team. This technical failure involuntarily flagged me as "inactive," alongside a host of other glitches, which understandably soured the interaction from the outset. To their credit, this was not a failing of Davis Brothers Auction themselves but rather an unfortunate byproduct of the platform they utilized. As a consumer, I expect my rights to be upheld and treated with the seriousness they deserve, just as Davis Brothers Auction, a business aiming to operate efficiently, expects to conduct transactions smoothly. What followed was a frustrating back-and-forth, culminating in a thorough investigation. Ultimately, they resolved the matter by voiding the contract and relisting the itema fair and ethical outcome. While their customer service approach could benefit from refinement, I can empathize with their demeanor given the circumstances and the challenges posed by a faulty intermediary. Their candidness even brought a few moments of levity to an otherwise aggravating ************ the end, Davis Brothers Auction demonstrated integrity in addressing the issue. I genuinely wish them success moving forward.

  Do not recommend.I purchased a 20x46 print from Davis Brothers Auction on 2/12/25 and this being 2/25 have yet to receive it. Their site says items shipped between 1 to 2 weeks, which in and of itself, is pretty slow, but OK. I knew that up front. So yesterday I wrote them requesting a ship date. My answer came with they expected to finish up the shipping of items today but it COULD be they dont have a physical address to ship to So if I never asked about the item it would have sat there until I did? I provided all my shipping details at the auction close but have again given them. What really bugs me about all of this is they charged me $100 for shipping a $70 print. They have nothing about their shipping costs in any info and since I live in **********, I knew I was going to have to utilize their service. Total rip off. It had better be extremely well packaged at that price, if I ever get it that is.I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because if you live locally, they are probably great. Also they did respond to my email promptly. But I will never buy from these people again.

  I have dealt with Davis Brothers Auction for many years and thought they did a good until recently. They had a three day auction and I got items for one item in the three different auctions. They sent each day's items (and charged me for all three days). All the items could have easily fit in one box. I contacted Mr. ********************** and he said they would correct that. Their next auctions were for two days and I got items from both days. I called and was told they charged me for two shipments ($30 each day) but would combine them in on box (which they did). Thus charging me $60 rather than $30. I called and tried to talk to Mr. ********************** but he would not answer or return my call. I sent a letter, text, and email, but no response. Thus, I have not used their auctions since, even though I have bought many items from them through the years. They used to be very good, but no more.

  Buyer Beware. I pre-bid on several auctions lots. Every lot that I won was maxed out. It sure makes me suspicious of shill bidding. Also, their shipping fees are insane.

  I have participated in a lot of online auctions and I can say definitively that this is a TERRIBLE auction house and the people who run it are unprofessional and discourteous. They rig their bidding and do not value their customers by addressing their failed bidding system which *** incremental bidding values north of 400% between bids. After repeated attempts to get through to them by phone and email to discuss this problem which I provided screenshots to prove, they told me they had no way of knowing that multiple "blind bids" (to the bidder) would come through from multiple platforms. They then attempted to run my locked credit card as a "recurring payment" in order to ******* my money without actually addressing the issue yhat I experienced first hand during a live auction. Thankfully, my credit card company protects its customers and stepped up to take care of these worthless sheisters.

  Exaggerated shipping costs, 3 times what it should have been for a 14x12x12 size box, 30 lbs. 80 bucks??? Seriously?? I will never ever let you burn me again!!!!
