I had a terrible experience at this jiffy lube, and have already left a review but in short, I received a bad oil change from this jiffy lube. The gasket was installed wrong and not checked for leaks. The mechanic who did my oil change was on his phone on speaker through out the entire oil change. They didnt address this in their review response. After my oil change my car broke down because it was leaking a large amount of oil due to the oil change they did wrong. After speaking with them on the phone about the issue they told me there was a 50 percent chance of an oil change causing your car to leak oil which is entirely untrue. I went to the store to resolve the issue and was intimidated by the staff and brushed off. Since then they have responded to my negative review with untrue statements. I was not rude to any of them, I didnt raise my voice, become belligerent or cuss at any of them. I had to be firm as I was cornered in a small room with 4 other men surrounding me while I was trying to voice my concerns about my car. I asked to speak to the district manager outside and he got in my face, towering over me telling me he was not going to help me. I did not trust them to give me an honest opinion on my car. I held back tears and was shaking as I tried to reason with him but it got to the point where I felt so unsafe I had to leave the situation and am still too scared to return. Corporate needs to visit this jiffy lube and talk to them about their behavior. This is not a safe space for women!

She is welcome to take her car anywhere for a second opinion. We have been more then accommodating. At no time has anyone been threating, intimidating or any other poor behavior. Again, we have it all on camera. If she finds any damage from wherever she decides to take it, we are to be notified before any work is done. At that time if something is found we will open another investigation.

I am rejecting this response because:
Again I am telling you I felt intimidated by your behavior. And if you have it on camera then you can see that the technician who did my oil change was on their phone the entire time. And brought me into the service area which I think is a safety issue. You can also see me backing away from the lead mechanic multiple times while talking to him because I felt intimidated. At this point I will not be returning for any reason. After reading your reviews and complaints it seems like you all have been consistently rude and disrespectful to your customers. You need to evaluate the way you speak to unhappy customers and corporate should evaluate they you all are conducting business. You are an unsafe, unprofessional, rude business.

I went to Jiffy Lube on *********** on Sunday Dec 8, 2024 for an oil change. My mileage was ******. I was told I needed a coolant flush for cars over 20k but there was a special, $199 for the winter package including my oil change, tire rotation, wiper blades, etc. I said, sure since my oil change would have been $100. I was uphold an air cabin filter, for $55. Total charged for 20 min service was $282.25.I went home and looked at my invoice, services not provided eeretire rotation, new blades, coolant flush.I called on Monday and spoke to ****** who told me, my tires WERE rotated. I told him I have rim locks. He said the key was probably in the glove compartment. I told him I have a Rimgard system, it is impossible to take them off without the KEYS. He said he wasn't there and he wasn't going to argue. That all services listed aren't provided if not needed. I said, but I told the tech I needed the services. He aggressively told me, AGAIN I WASNT THERE SO I DONT KNOW WHAT WAS DONE AND DONT CARE.I do not know if my oil was changed, the coolant was NOT flushed, the blades are the same and my pocket is light by $282.25. I have contacted corporate and filed a complaint, 72 hours has passed with no response, as well as the franchise office, regional auditor and social media and the news is next. This is bait and switch The responses to complaints is horrific, customer service is backwards. Being told to waste more time to get services done already paid for is redundant. I Want My Money Back.

Mrs. ******* had contact directly with the store the morning after her visit. At that time a resolution was provided for her issue. Again, yesterday another follow up was made with a resolution. We pride ourselves on our work and stand behind it. The service has been reviewed to be completed with a resolution provided for the tire rotation. Please return at your convenience to have the tires rotated.

I am rejecting this response because:
I received a call from Mar ***** telling me since the oil cannot be removed from the car that it was past time to request a refund.  That the store cameras would be pulled to see what if anything was done as part of the $199.00 winter package and if I had a second car to drop off my car for the tire rotation.  ***** was fine with the lies told about services not completed, has no problem with bait and switch and that it is my obligation to trust a liar to complete services already paid for.  A copy of the invoice was sent via text to him with a signature I did not make, cameras should show that too.  An investigation has not been completed.  Awaiting corporate franchise complaint records and response.

A complete investigation has been completed. Multiple times the customer has been offered to return to have her tires rotated. Our investigation is completed. She can return for a $20 refund for a tire rotation if she likes instead of having the tires rotated. This case is considered closed at this poiny

I am rejecting this response because:
Cisa Lube cannot confirm any services were completed on my car as the investigation was to include pulling video footage from Sunday Dec. 9, 2024.  I was informed by the district manager ****** that this footage now does not exist.  There is no confirmation anything was done to my vehicle in 27 minutes except a new cabin filter installation that i witnessed.   Cisa Lube owes me $227.25 as both the manger on site and district manager lied about the services performed.  Being told 3 days was too late to ask for a refund is outrageous.  I requested this information in writing and have not received anything.  I will not trust my car in the hands of a company that has already defrauded me, lied about and refuses to take accountability.  I do not believe my vehicle is safe there.

I went to jiffy lube to get my battery inspected because earlier that day I had to get a jump to get my car to start. The employee there told me that my battery was fine but I needed a new alternator. I didn't want to procrastinate so I elected to have it done that same day by jiffy lube. Once the job was done my car shut off immediately after merging on the highway minutes after leaving the shop. Once my car shut off I had to push my car to the shoulder to avoid being hit. I then had to pay to have my car towed back to my apartment I also had to wait a few hours for him to arrive. The next morning I got a diagnostic from triple A and they told me my car shut down due to having a faulty alternator. I did not want to go back to jiffy lube but they told me I would void my warranty if I did not let them work on it so I had my car towed back to them. After going back to jiffy lube they replaced my alternator again then said I would also need a new battery after initially telling me it was fine and also charged me for the battery. I was upset about this and was told that I had to file any complaints with J **** the manager. I did have a conversation with him and he was extremely rude and took no accountability and all he offered me was a free oil change which I turned down because I lost trust in the company. He told me if I wanted to escalate further I needed to speak with ***** Lutonhowzer I requested to have it escalated and was told I would receive a call from him and I never got a call. I also tried calling jiffy lube customer service more than 10 times trying to escalate this issue and they repeatedly tell me that someone from upper management will reach out but they never do. After going through everything listed above I never even got an apology and it really had a big financial impact. I'm failing this complaint because I don't know any other way of getting them to resolve this issue. I feel as if I was taken advantage of and only needed a battery all along.

On 10/22/2024, at approximately 2:20pm, I visited the Jiffy Lube located at ***************** to get an oil change. After getting some basic info from me on my vehicle, one of the auto service techs asked for my car keys so he could drive the car into the service area. I then was walked THROUGH the service bay (where later I was told I was not permitted in for safety reasons) to the office sitting area to wait until the work was completed. During the oil change process, a different auto service tech asked me to come to the service area, pointed to a substantial dent in my front left quarter panel and ASKED me, " was that there before?" I emphatically and unequivocally stated that the dent was in fact NOT there upon my arrival to the ahop. The tech who had driven the vehicle into the service area had a sheepish look on his face and TOTALLY denied causing the damage. After expressing my frustration at the blatant denial and damage, the tech who apparently drove my car in the service area had the AUDACITY to suggest that I was trying to run some form of a scam! After repeated attempts at speaking to the manage, two other individuals arrived and one stated he was the assistant manager but provided no proof to validate. He inquired about the issue and stated that he could not determine how the damage could have been done at the shop, After making a FaceTime call to an individual that claimed to be the manager, I was told by this individual that all he would do was review the cctv footage and call me back. For the record, all of the individuals at the shop during this issue REFUSED to provide neither their names to include the "assistant" manager who showed up out of nowhere and the manager who I was only able to speak to via FaceTime.

I recently, within the last year, started using this jiffy lube location for my 2022 ****** Rogue. Each time i get the service their service agent fails to secure my skid plate on. So within 1 hour of my leaving the location my skid plate is dragging and i have to return to the location for them to secure it. Horrible right? So i decided after the 4th visit for service and my plate not properly installed, i had enough. I wanted to change my oil change company. I received a coupon in the mail for AAA. I took my car there to use the coupon for oil change. AAA Let me know they couldnt change the oil because the drain plug had been inserted so tightly they couldnt get the oil out . I quickly returned to jiffy lube. The manager there kind of brushed me off ohh we can change the oil from the top im like sure okay even though they charge 120 and i had a coupon for 69$ at AAA. The manager, ******, came and showed me where they hadnt recently touched the oil plug stating they have been draining the oil from the top all of a sudden because they were aware the drain plug had been stuck. I immediately became frustrated because im like well if you knew this when were you going to tell me, as my service provider. My car was brand new when i started bringing it here if i had known i couldve got it repaired under warranty. Now im out of warranty by ***** miles and its my responsibility thats unfair. Again, just blew me off. Okay fine Ill deal with it later . Just change the oil at this point because im here with my twin 3 year olds, this is our 2nd place that day for oil change like lets just go. So i paid for the oil change and went on my way. With all that i forgot to mention to them to properly secure the skid plate, which is not my job its apart of the service i thought. Nonetheless, i get on the road to go with my day and what do i hear? Dragging! Jiffy lube left my skid plate unsecured AGAIN!!!!! I returned next day for refund and an employee assaulted my fianc

June 9 2024 I requested a simple oil change I was overcharged I called the store and was dismissed I filed a complaint no response

      Business Response

      Date: 06/28/2024

      Hello ********************,

I just received notice from the ** of your complaint, I'm disheartened that any of our staff members were dismissive of your concerns, so I took a look at the service in question myself. You do not appear to have been overcharged in any way by our staff, based on the oil selection chosen and the capacity of the vehicle, your price is right in line with what we charge for the service. Thew only thing I would mention is that our oil changes only include 5 quarts of premium Pennzoil lubrications, and there is an additional charge for higher capacity vehicles. Your **** does appear to *********** quarts so there was an additional $8.50 charged for that court, but if you'll direct your attention to the bottom right hand of the invoice the store in question did apply a $10 off coupon, likely to offset this cost to you.

I can appreciate the feeling of being wronged, but thankfully that is not the case here, you were charged standard pricing for a High Mileage ******************* change.

      Sincerely,

      *****

I requested a simple oil change NOT high mileage.  That is why I wanted a credit.  I was not properly informed of this High Mileage rate otherwise I would have said NO.  In addition, when I called the next day, the mechanic on the phone was very rude.  I will NEVER recommend Jiffy Lube nor will I ever have my vehicle serviced by Jiffy Lube again.

The leather on my car steering wheel was badly scratched by the technician at Jiffy Lube #****. They took no responsibility for their actions. Then furthermore alluded to me, bringing the car in with a scratch and trying to blame them.

      Business Response

      Date: 10/20/2023

Our district manager ********************* met with the customer and advised him that his steering wheel was already like that previously due to the age of the crack in the steering wheel. Furthermore, our technicians during an inspection do not use tools inside of a vehicle, and or have a way of creating this type of rip in steering wheel. If customer would like to contact our attorneys to discuss further, we will be more than happy to provide the information to him.

Nov. 23, 2022 I went in for an oil change, when it came time for my next oil change, my mechanic couldn't remove the oil drain plug, due to lock tight being used. Because of this, the oil could not be drained from my car. When I called to Jiffy Lube to ask them why would they use this substance, and that my mechanic couldn't remove the drain plug, the manager, that I first spoke with was very nasty, and defensive. He did not offer anything to fix the situation. I then called headquarters to file a complaint, I was then contacted by ***** the store manager, who was also very defensive, and did not offer anything to rectify the situation, saying it was only a paint and not lock tight. I believe that they stripped something and tried to use lock tight to close it. Whatever that was used, shouldn't have been. Jiffy lube could at least offer a resolution for the inconvenience. I paid for oil and a filter from Auto Zone to have my oil changed, in which I was unable to have that service completed.

      Business Response

      Date: 05/04/2023

We explained to the customer we put tamper seal on all of our drain plugs, and that it couldn't affect the plug removal for further oil changes. It's not lock tight. We further explained that once you bring your vehicle to another facility it voids the Jiffy Lube Warranty. In lieu of this incident we are willing to provide a $25.00 gift certificate. We would need to know who to make it out to and a mailing address.

I took my car here for an oil change on 01/25/23, at the ***********. Location in *********. I thought everything went smoothly until right after I received an oil change, there was problems with the oil plate which I never had before the next morning Jiffy Lube fixed it after I called them the same night after the oil change and engine flush was finished. Two weeks later after the I received an oil change at the end of January, the engine light comes back on saying oil pressure too low, and thought that was weird because I just had received an oil change. So I went to Jiffy Lube to see what the problem was, they couldn't figure out why my engine light wasn't going off and didn't at all know what the problem was with my car, one repair woman said she couldn't check the oil, but my car may be smart and maybe if I keep driving it will turn off... okay. After leaving, my car shuts down, but was able to drive it back to Jiffy Lube which they suggested. I took the car back to Jiffy lube and they still couldn't figure out what the problem was, says my car is fine and maybe it's the sensor causing my car to shut off. I knew something wasn't right so I took it to the dealership where they tell me there was no oil in the engine before drop off and there's internal damage to my ENGINE. When I contacted corporate I get the run around and of course they don't take responsibility. Apparently I had several leaks before getting an oil change as stated on the paper. That's what they're going with to say to avoid responsibility to damages. With oil leaks, why perform an oil change while oil is leaking? While the repair man who performed the oil change decided to sell me on more service, that's what he should have suggested getting fixed before other services were rendered, but not once did he mention that. With severe oil leaks why couldn't they detect that was the problem when I took my car back. When mentioning this to corporate they can't come up with a solid answer.

We explained the below to the customer on 3/10/23 at 1:59 PM:

I apologize for the bad experience you encountered. After reviewing this case the team that provided your oil change at our service center didnt remove your oil plug. The motor oil was removed through the dipstick tube. We do not pull plugs at any of our service centers due to us always using an oil extracting tool. It was also documented that you had severe oil leaks upon arrival as well as a stripped oil pan and you were 1 quarts low upon arrival. Unfortunately, we will be closing this case due to this.  If you would like to pursue further, you can have your attorney contact ours. Ive listed the information below:

I am rejecting this response because the business failed to even read the full complaint and restated what was already said in the documents i provided and what i already know. I'm following up on what was said by the manager who still denies responsibility, and who can't seem to answer or provide a full accurate answer as to why an oil change was performed if you noticed severe oil leaks, as you mentioned before performing services, and if oil leaks was noticeable before performing an oil change, why not mention that to the customer? Severe oil leaks were only stated in the invoice after services were done, especially the oil change. The repair man who performed the oil change on my car tried to up sell me on other services but not the service that really mattered, the one you mentioned, an oil leak. It's like putting water in a bag that is leaking, you wouldn't put more water in the bag would you? If i had an oil leak, that means  the new oil change performed would leak, which is my argument. It's faulty service no matter how you put it. The company or franchise can't seem to answer why an oil change was performed if the car was having oil leaks, and what the problem of the car is, after the dealership said it was internal damage to the engine due to no oil after two weeks of receiving a oil change at the JIffy Lube location. The franchise can't give accurate answers, they don't know, but is sure as they mentioned that the oil leak before service was done is the problem?

      Business Response

      Date: 04/13/2023

Consumer can contact our attorney as mentioned earlier. You wouldn't be able to drive for two weeks without oil, and it was explained to customer that she had massive oil leaks and her oil pan was stripped prior to service, and no warranty was implied. If we need to provide our attorneys information for further, we will.  At this time this would be a legal matter.

I received an oil change from this location in July. 2 weeks after the service i noticed a leak in my driveway of oil. I returned to Jiffy Lube to make them aware of the leak they completed a service and mentioned they were having issues with attaching my oil plug. My truck sits due to the fact that i drive a company vehicle last saturday i went to start my vehicle and all my oil spilled out on my driveway. i had to get my vehicle towed to a dealership where they told me the engine is compromised and a total loss. I would like to have someone from claims or up management reach out to me to discuss actions here after. This is entirely on Jiffy lube and if they would like to prove otherwise please contact me ASAP

Customer came in on 7/30/22, oil change was provided notated and advised customer that there was body damage and oil sludge on oil cap prior to the service. Provided recommendations no issues. Customer returns on 8/16/22 requested a top off we advised them there was minor oil leaks when brought in after 312 miles being put on car. This week on Monday customer spoke with ***** the store manager advising that he took his vehicle to ************ and that they saw silicone on the oil plug. We didn't use silicone nor would we ever because we don't have silicone in our stores.  Customer advised that they had issues with the oil plug coming out due to this. We advised customer we would look at it, but customer declined and wanted copies of receipts. Advised customer he was outside of the ******************** Warranty that is printed on the back of the receipts, we asked customer why he didn't provide further information right after visit or at least within a few days. Customer didn't respond. Then customer contacted our operations management team yesterday 12/13. Customer was advised they were outside of the warranty Jiffy Lube provided however if they could provide the paperwork from ************, we would be willing to investigate the situation. The customer never responded with the appropriate paperwork.

I am rejecting this response because: Due to differences of recollection of events.             Customer came in on 7/30/22, oil change was provided notated and advised
customer that there was body damage and oil sludge on oil cap prior to
the service.(Noted as accurate i was worried enough to also get an engine flush)

Customer returns on 8/16/22 requested a top off( Note: Didi not request a top off my truck leaked 2 quarts of oil in my driveway never had oil leak issues until oil change)

we advised them there was minor oil leaks ( Note After i brought it in for an oil leak also never told me my truck would have on going leaks)( I never even signed the second invoice from 8/16)
This week on Monday customer spoke with ***** the store manager advising that he took his vehicle to ************ and that they saw silicone on the oil plug (Note I did say that out of ignorance of the name of the material).
We advised customer we would look at it, but customer declined (Note did not decline trucks engine is locked up i had to tow it to a dealership im actually trying to set up their techs coming to see it now) .we asked customer why he didn't provide further information
right after visit or at least within a few days.(Note I wrote why in original complaint i don't drive my truck often due to having work vehicle, this catastrophic failure happened very quickly when the weather changed to cold) Then customer contacted our operations management team (Note due to the fact the email given to me in store did not reply)
y provided however if they could provide the paperwork from
************, we would be willing to investigate the situation. The
customer never responded with the appropriate paperwork.(Note was out of the country since 12/14 arrived back 12/18)

I spoke with ***** at ************ on or around 12/19/22. He advised customer had an oil leak through their plug which was documented and mentioned to customer during the services customer had with *************************** all oil changes throughout Jiffy Lube we dont change plugs because we use an oil extractor instead of draining the oil by removing the plugs. The silicone substance isnt silicone its a tamper seal to show whether a customer went to another facility between services. All Jiffy Lubes use this. ***** at ************ admitted hes never seen tamper seal before nor really knew what it was. Customers engine was damaged due to oil leak that was brought to customers attention in late July early August. It wasnt due to silicone being on the plug, or we were trying to cover up leaks by using a silicone.  ***** just assumed it was a silicone since he didnt know what it was which we dont carry in our shops.  I am closing this case out based on our findings, and with this issue being brought up after the expiration of the Jiffy Lube Warranty, the customer not fixing the leak after told in late July/early August, and customer voided ******************** Warranty by bringing it to another service center (outside of Jiffy Lube) without consulting us prior. We provided the customer the above information same day, and our attorney's information if he wanted to pursue further as well.
