First of all on January 18th, **** I stopped by my Autobell car wash in ******* I provided them with a $5 coupon that expires on Feb **** with a wash of over $29.00. They advised me, the coupon had expired. Well I had just printed it earlier that morning and still have it in my car. Not a big deal; what then transpired, I utilized one of my Super Poly. Coupons and all went well. The bug guard on my 2023 K5 GT was ripped off the front of my vehicle. We dont cover accessories I was advised. Ok, how about getting the mud off the wheel *****, ok they said and ran it back and cleaned only one side. Not the best service. Ive been using Autobell for some years now, at least once a month on two vehicles and am quite upset. If we cant do something or depend on the professional services Ive received in the past; Ill have to utilize one of the 3 other washes in town. I signed up for Autobells promotional $5 car wash by downloading their app to my iPhone, as instructed. I was told I would get billed ~$60 for unlimited car washes after the first month but I could discontinue this service later in the day and not get billed by going into the app. Unfortunately, I was unable to access my account within the app as it required me to provide detailed contact info before allowing me to access the app. When I tried to give it more information, the app still didnt work. Note, Autobells app already had my name, cell number and email address and verified me via two authentication BEFORE requiring me to provide more information, After I was unable to access Autobells app, I tried canceling this service by going to Autobells website but it didnt recognize that I was a new customer via the app so... I called their customer service number but the *** also tried to get more information from me including an attempt to ascertain my new payment card (which I received this morning due to a merchant fraud alert on my last card last week). The *** also told me she would not be able to delete my account information which is why I came to BBB to file a complaint.Business Response

I have been an Autobell customer for years. I am now a monthly unlimited customer, and I took my 2022 Genesis *** into the ************** location and something on the track (roller, metal siding, clamp - I'm not sure of the mechanics) damaged my front driver's side wheel/rim. I have already filed a claim with ***********************, the location's GM and my claim was denied. The visit happened on May 25, 2023, I even asked the attendant if my wheel was damaged because of the loud sound, and feeling it in the steering wheel. The young man told me it did not. I was lazy, I should've gotten out and looked, but just trusted him. I emailed customer relations via their website sooner after and never received a response. I followed up w/the 800# 3 days ago, to ask what was going on and they told me that you can't file damage on the website, you have to go back to the location. I went back on Wednesday, 9/20 - the manager on duty wouldn't accept the claim, he told me to come back the next day to work with *****, which I did.Let me be clear, *********************** (the *** was very professional, but he determined that the damage couldn't have been from the wash. I vehemently disagree, I took my wheel to an auto repair expert in ******* and he told me since the damage is only in one exact place, something had to physically hit the wheel only in one place, I could not have done the damage myself. I have since spoken to a few friends and clients, and they me that this type of thing happens at Autobell all the time. I feel that corporate should pay for my damaged wheel to be repaired. Since my claim was denied, I am filing with you all, and potentially the attorney general as I do not have a history of complaints, I am only asking for what I feel is fair. I no longer take my vehicle to Autobell, only my 4Runner, which has huge tires and cannot be damaged. I go to Westgate, where they showed me a roller pushes the vehicle through - so no damage can be done to my wheel/rim.Business Response

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to respond. ********** visited our location in May. He says the front driver side rim was damaged while going through the wash. The customer noticed the damage on his rim a week later. He wrote in online and was informed to return to the store to fill out a claim report. The customer returned on 9/21/2023 and ********************** started an investigation. During the investigation we made sure that the conveyor was properly protected with the appropriate materials to help keep rims safe. There were no issues found with the conveyor. We also checked to make sure that no other reports for damage were filed that day, to which there was not. Autobell Carwash stands behind the quality and safety of our equipment. Due to a lack of evidence,Autobell Car Wash does not accept responsibility for this claim.

I am rejecting this response because:Although the recounts by Autobell are close, this is not the sequence of events. My visit was on May 25, 2023, yes. I did email in June - I sent two emails that day, an inquiry about the damage to my wheel, as well as a separate email for the purposes of actually commending an employee at the Brier Creek (*****************) location because his attentiveness as he was drying off another one of my vehicles. Conveniently enough, I did not get an "auto-response" from Autobell, for either the damage inquiry, nor the compliment on their employee ********* I found that to be odd, as every other company that I've had communication with sends an auto-reply at minimum, most with some kind of tracking or case number. Autobell does neither, and so I was waiting for a response. I was never told that I couldn't file a damage claim online at all. In fact, due to work and also caring for my 77 year old mother with Alzheimer's full time from June - September, it escaped my mind to follow up, until September 19, 2023 at 5:59 PM a week or so after my Mom had gone back to stay with my sister to call. I do have a log of that phone call in my phone, the screen shot is attached. you can see that quick 2 min and 37 second call, where the customer service person told me that I needed to file at that location. This is why I initially went to file the complaint the next day, where the assistant manager, ****, refused to take my complaint. He gave me *****'s card, so I arranged to meet him the very next day. ***** took my paperwork then, promptly refused my claim within 2 days, and although I was told that I would receive copies of that claim paperwork, I still have no received any of it. However, it seems that corporate policy at Autobell might be not to respond to customer concerns, but I am glad they responded so quickly to the BBB. I have also filed with the State ************************* as well.

After an investigation of our equipment including our conveyer, we were not able to find anything wrong with the equipment now or at the time of incident. We also did not have any other customers report similar damage on the day of incident or any time since that day.
After further investigation of the facts surrounding the incident and the inspection of our wash equipment, Autobell does not accept responsibility for the damages to Mr. ***** rim.Initial Complaint

Saturday 07/15/23 We took our car to have it cleaned. We have had it cleaned here before with no issue. When were waiting the cashier said that they were making some adjustments. When my husband I got home we noticed the front bumper and the left door had scratch marks from the brushes from car wash. I called that night the let them know that there was a problem. On Monday ******** the manager agreed to meet with me today 07/19/23 to look at my car. They offered to wash my car again. ******** is denying that their brushes caused the damage.Business Response

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to respond. ***************** brought her vehicle to the car wash to be serviced on Saturday,7/15/2023. On Wednesday 7/19/2023 ***************** came back to the location stating that Autobell Car Wash scratched her vehicle.
The Store Manager, ******** Boarders, started the claims process, however, he was not able to complete it due to the customer not allowing ********************** to rerun the vehicle through the wash.The damage was not consistent with any other vehicles serviced that day, and when inspecting our equipment, we could not find anything that would cause damage to a vehicle.Autobell Carwash stands behind the quality and safety of our equipment. Vehicle 2013, ******** CLS 550 white. ******** dealership stated that it cannot be repaired. It must be replaced $2100 estimate for part and repair in. Autobell stated they would have an adjuster give me a call. No adjuster called. received an email at 5 AM stating they were sending me a check for $577 for repairs, I attempted to call to resolve and request for payment for cost of light and repairs, unable to make any contact, unable to obtain any sort of resolve. Autobell manager was supplied a copy of the estimate provided by ******** manager stated that is not how they work and an adjuster would give me a call. I never received a phone call again, I Only received an email of an estimate that did not equate to what it would actually cost to replace and repair. I also have quite concern in regards to why they did not tell me that my light was messed up while they were wiping it down. I did not notice it until I drove next-door to the planet fitness gym and noticed my mirror was hanging I asked why didnt they tell me and a lady inquired was it there when you pulled up, overall I would like to have my car repaired sooner than later, without having to go back and forth continuously. The Unlimited plans referenced in a follow up message from the customer have all been cancelled.
The Unlimited plan for her Maserati was requested to be cancelled at the end of her billing cycle on 6/13/23, the plan would remain active until 7/1/23 then automatically cancel. The plan was reactivated on 6/24/23 by the customer and cancelled again about an hour later. This plan was used on 6/8/23, during her billing cycle. Per the Terms and Conditions signed and agreed upon by the customer on 4/1/23 and 4/15/23, all Unlimited? plan payments are non-refundable regardless of actual use. If we elect, in our sole discretion, to issue a refund upon termination of the plan, under no circumstances will it exceed one (1) month of charges and will only be provided if there has been no usage of the Unlimited? plan since the previous payment.
The second plan she referenced was a plan for a ******** E- ****** this plan was also requested to be cancelled on 6/13/23. Since this plan showed no wash activity during the recent month, the customer was issued a refund for one month.
When the customer reactivated her plan for the Maserati on 6/24/23 she also created a new plan for a ******** ************ This plan is also now cancelled, and the customer has been refunded since no wash activity has occurred.
No additional refunds will be issued for the Unlimited plans due to wash activity on the app during the current billing cycle.

regarding Maserati refund request.To review the time stamp of reactivating. My car ********** was damaged NOT LONGER after resulting in no wish to return in risk of damaging the stated vehicle as well. All of which is why I requested to cancel the ******** auto carwash subscription as well. Both request to cancel were made the day of the incident for the very obvious reason. As a common thought, it would only make sense to cancel all subscriptions with no FURTHER REASON to return to AUTO BELL CARWASH. The email confirms no usage since subscription as well. Again, to make sure we are on the same page, my ******** was not damaged until AFTER subscribing both vehicles for auto servicing. Please advise and issue refund. Continued Grievance..

i had monthly subscription plan with the business since September of last year until one of their customer service cancelled it for me towards the end of May 2023, a total of $****** spent. i had used the service only 8 times for all this time. i called customer support and asked for a courtesy refund or service for one month, he refused saying that they do not offer refunds, i requested to speak to a supervisor, who assured me to escalate the issue and see what can be done in this situation. waited for two days to have an automated email sent to my inbox saying there is no refund and there is no solution to my problem. i was really trying to accept a month of service knowing that the last time i performed service in their facilities goes back to 03/26/2023, apparently, the company just want to take advantage and rob the customers. now what i want is more than what i suggested. i am requesting that AutoBell car was charges me for the complete 8 unlimited washes that i used, then refund me whatever remains from my total $ ******, that i spent.Thank youBusiness Response

He was able to take advantage of our first month free promotion, then downgraded his plan to the ************ Unlimited Plan in November. Plan state the following: Autobell?Car Wash will charge to the authorized Primary User credit card account monthly based on plan selected at the time of recharge in the Autobell?Mobile App. The Unlimited? I took my car in with my bike rack on it to get a wash yesterday as I have done many times. The attendant walked around my car and sprayed a solution on my tires and windows and never said a word about the rack. Midway through the wash I started getting thrown around my car. The car wash had wrapped around my rack and jerked me around causing extensive damage to my back hatch. The attendant was dismissive and rude after speaking with the manager who refused to give his name until my husband came up to help me. The manager refused to even speak to **.We were also told that bike racks come through all the time. Regardless, the way I was treated by the attendant and manager until my husband showed up is unacceptable. I have a new 2023 Denali GMC pick up truck that needed a cleaning. I noticed the service was taking longer than usual. The manager was assisting the employees with my vehicle and they told me it would be a few more minutes. As I approached the truck I noticed the side board (used to step into the truck) was not positioned correctly. When I asked why it was pushed towards the rear tire they told me they used a button on the exterior to slide it back and not it wont return to its original position. The manager was very rude, he told me it was not their fault and nothing he could do about it. He did not even offer a free service! I told him something needed to be done and he gave me a written copy of an explanation claim #****** and told me I could file a complaint. The worse customer service ever! Mr. ********** came to the car wash on April 13th,2023 to have his 2023 Denali serviced. This vehicle uses automatic running boards. The running boards are activated by pressing a button. The running board extends even further to assist with getting into the back of the truck (which we used to help clean the rear window). It was not brought to our attention that the vehicles running boards were defective, and we attempted to use them as they are designed. Autobell(R) did not cause the running boards to malfunction, therefore we cannot take responsibility nor issue a refund for damage. We attempted to contact ************************ on Saturday, April 22, 2023, to apologize for his experience with the staff at the location, but he did not respond.

I am rejecting this response because: The running boards are not defective. The running board is not broken, this claim is not stating that repair is needed. The claim is in regards to the treatment of service, the long wait and the rudeness of management in front of employees and customers. Once I got home the running board went into place, the truck is new and that feature had never been used until the visit to Auto Bell. No one tried to reach me from Auto Bell, also why would someone have to try to reach me if they were pleasant at the time of service? Autobell is the worse! Beware!Business Response

I have been coming to this place of business for years now and for some reason now I am being refused service. It started when this location became under new management and new hires. If I pay for a service I expect to receive it. I'm very detailed oriented in regards to my vehicle. Long story short a employee threatened my life and I was told by the manager not to return to place of business for which doesn't make any sense I was also told that I was rude to the employees for which is not true. I went to go get service April 5 2023 and I was refused service. I have reached out filed several complaints and along with a new district manager. I reached out to the DM their reply was that they were on vacation. This is unacceptable for a place of business to treat their customers I've never been refused service ever. The manager needs to be terminated and a new manager need to be hired. The manager is now taking up for the employee that is why now refusing service along when I do submit claims of smelling Marijuana smoke from some of the employees. It wasn't from the customers or their vehicles. I have been to other autobell locations and have never had any issues with then. Yes I did receive service and was told not to come back basically because manager stated my expectations was not being met and also that I had harassed employees? Harassing employees by pointing out where they did not wipe my vehicle properly? That is definitely not harassing. I paid for a service and expect to get what I paid for. I was refused service on April 5, 2023 all because I put in a complaint because of being refused service and from late February being threatened by one of the employees that he was going to f*** me up and f*** my vehicle up also. Unacceptable and the employee is still employed and assistant manager and the manager never did anything in regards to the employee behavior. I have since went to another Autobell and for it is very obvious that the manager at the ********** location does not know how to run a business and the employees are not properly trained the new location where I have taken my vehicle to I haven't had to point out anything to them the employees are very respectful to me. After my vehicle has been through the carwash and then go to park so the employees can service they open my door for me and complete their job that they were assigned to do and also do not use dirty detail cloths unlike the ********** location Autobell. I have never been refused service anywhere this is all because I put in a complaint because of the employee threatened me and my vehicle and the manager is taking up for the employee for which the employee and manager should be terminated immediately. I have been coming to this location for almost 8 years now never had a problem until under new management and new employees that do not want to do their job. I believe in order for this to be resolved I am asking for carwash for year. That would be great and all included.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: there should be some type of way to satisfy the customer. Especially with taking the employee word over the customer. What happened to customer is always right here? The employee that threatened me is still currently employed and the manager that refused service is still employed also that would have been grounds for immediate termination for both employee and manager.Complimentary carwashes would be great from what I have had to go through behind all of this.
The employee was not professional and neither was the manager.

I am rejecting this response because: it has NOT been resolved I want compensation the minimum 12 months free carwash at other autobell locations since I was denied service at this location. And If I don't receive receive no compensation I will file class action suit for discrimination.There was no repercussion on the manager that denied me service and the employee that threatened me. When I'm clearly the customer and now all of a sudden the employees and assistant manager that was on duty the particular day I was threatened just all of sudden don't know anything about the incident that happened?
This hasn't been resolved not at all.

On Friday March 17, 2023 I went to the Autobell Car Wash located at ************************************************************ for a normal car wash. Upon returning home I noticed there was some damage to my roof that was not previously there. The glass was cracked in the middle and spread across the entire length of the car. I was in town visiting family and on a very tight schedule. Because of these reasons I was not able to go back to the car wash that same day. I went back the next day and asked to speak with the manager. I explained to him the situation. He was very cavalier, nonchalant and dismissive about my concerns. He simply scoffed and stated that they had no piece of machinery that could possibly do that to my vehicle. He stated that I would need to allow my car to pass through the car wash again to see if the damage would be replicated which I was not willing to do for obvious reasons. I could no longer afford to stay there and continue to go back and forth with him because as I previously stated I was visiting from out of town and needed to get back home before the start of the next week. I am now having to deal with the financial implications of getting this damage repaired. Both the damage to my car and the level of customer service I received is completely unacceptable. I would like the business to be held accountable and to file a claim on my behalf to get the damage done to my vehicle repaired.Business Response

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to respond. **************** returned to our location the day after purchasing his car wash.He pointed out a crack that had spread across his roof. We explained that cracks in windows result from impact damage and spread over time. Our car wash uses all cloth material and cannot cause this kind of impact. We offered to rewash his vehicle to help demonstrate the points of contact from the cloth in our car wash. **************** declined. We filed a claim with **************** detailing this investigation. His copy was folded up and discarded. We are happy to invite **************** back to our location to give him another copy of the claim.
