1 starPoor HVAC Installation in a New Build Homeowners Beware (Braeburn - ************, ** We moved into our new construction home on October 21, 2021, and have been the only owners. Within the first two 1/2 years, we started experiencing serious issues with our air conditioningparticularly upstairs, where it stays hot and constantly throws error codes.After bringing out a trusted **** company to inspect the system, we were told the unit was not installed correctly. The quote for a proper install came in at $2,000something that should never be necessary in a home built just a couple of years ago.Were not alone eitherour community ******** page is full of neighbors posting almost daily about HVAC problems. Its incredibly frustrating and disappointing that something as essential as climate control in a new home was done so poorly across the board.If youre building or buying in this neighborhood, ask detailed questions about your HVAC install. 1 starWe purchased our home from Mattamy Homes on 06/20/2024. From day one, the only person who has consistently been professional, responsive, and helpful is ******* ******. ******* is truly outstanding always willing to answer our questions and assist in any way he can. He deserves recognition for his excellent customer service.Unfortunately, the rest of our experience with Mattamy has been extremely disappointing. Our warranty technician, ** *********, has been unresponsive and unreliable. We had to reschedule our 30-day walkthrough due to an emergency, and while ** agreed to reschedule, he never followed up. During our annual walkthrough in April 2025, ** addressed only one item from our list and completely ignored the rest. Despite numerous calls and emails, he failed to respond. He basically ghosted us.After ** ********* ignored our calls and emails for over three weeks, he finally responded to say that he had been out of the office. During that time, Mattamy failed to assign anyone else to cover for him or to follow up on our outstanding issues. As homeowners, we felt completely ignored and unsupported. This is not what we expected from a builder that promises quality service. Mattamy needs to take accountability and ensure their customers are not left without help just because one employee is unavailable. I responded to ** email and asked him to finish the original list. ** ignored us again and he stopped responding.We escalated the issue, leaving voicemails for his manager, ****** ******, but she never returned our calls. When we reached out to the main office, **** Redgway wouldnt even listen to our concerns and simply transferred us to voicemail boxes. We visited the local office multiple times, only to be met with attitude from ******* Blue and his staff, who repeatedly told us to contact the warranty department the very department that wasnt helping ***** this day, several issues in our home remain unresolved.Review fromMark L

******** management. Ive had 3 flat tires in 1 1/2 months in their community bc of their continued construction on the main street getting in and out of this neighborhood to my Mattamy home. CLEAN YOUR F'ing STREETS!!!! Screws, nails, staples! I submitted invoices for the tries I HAD TO REPLACE and am ignored. DO NOT DO BUSINESS W THESE PEOPLE!!!!! Further, the ****** garbage Co , ******* THEY chose to represent us out of nowhere dramatically raised our rates for NO reason. We have zero amenities. Every home owner here is in an uproar and were "suckered" into their rate is now victim after they sold out their final properties.

1 starThe professionalism of this company is beyond horrible. I am located in ******, ******* and would recommend a tent over one of their homes. The workmanship is at best sub-par. Their workers are unskilled, unreliable and undependable. Mattamy does not stand behind their work. Trying to reach anyone in the warranty office is impossible. The way many people have finally gotten through to them is by filing complaints with the ********************************. I live in ************** and the angry comments about the same problems about what I have written about is a daily on-going complaint in the ************** ********* In less than two years, I have had to replace the A/C fan motor, holes in my floor grout, walk-in shower paint pealing from tile and a whole patio door replacement because the patio door was not framed correctly and the glass doors were replaced also due to improper manufacturing of the dual pane glass. I strongly urge anyone thinking about buying a Mattamy home to do their research on this company.Review fromJustin D

1 starNever have I experienced such a shoddy home build. There are a great deal of unhappy homeowners in our community, ***** of Tradition.The back yard floods when it rains because of the mismanagement of waist water drainage design. Cant get them to finish punch list. The walls are not square along with 90% of the windows in this house. The roof leaks where the vent pipe for hot water heater is, lord knows where other leaks are. **** lived in this house since March,2023 and continue to find issues. Structural cracks, etcI dont recommend this builder at all. Their sales rep ****** As Is did not disclose everything lawfully that should have been disclosed to us Cheap materials, shortcuts, over caulking to cover up their mistakes so very much to list thats wrong hereReview fromMelissa B

1 starThese homes are made poorly. Drywall and painting is subpar. When they come back to do the 11 month walk in they will use the same paint if you want the nail pops addressed. I really wish I would of waited until I found a better builderDrywall is flimsy. Shower door has been off track several times bedroom closet door came off after opening.carpet padding is uneven and now need replaced.Review fromSidney A

1 starBEWARE. If I could give double zero stars I would. This builder lies and tries to get you under contract quickly. Once they do and get your deposit, they know they've got you. They will threaten to hold you in default and keep your deposit if you don't do what they say. Also they require large deposits often 3-5% of purchase price. With property prices being this high sometimes this could be $15K, $25K or more. In my case it was $28K. Their contract is restrictive, including an "As-Is" clause that covers them even if the house is defective. For new construction, their workmanship is sub par and they will not disclose material information you need to know. Definitely get an inspection if the home is brand new because this builder ***************** stuff from you just to get you to sign the dotted line. their customer service *****, they hurry to get you into warranty and the warranty customer service and workmanship *****. In my case they hid a construction defect in the home and then pressured me to close when I needed more time given questions I had. I couldn't put my finger on it but 20 days after close a major construction defect issue surfaced with the home that it seems they were trying to hide from me and therefore pressuing me to close or they would hold me in default and keep my deposit. Also watch out for their lender, they offer higher incentive but they work with lenders that don't have the buyer or borrowers interest in mind. They are all in it together and will set you up so that you have no recourse to get favorable loan terms and not give you a way out if the builder is not living up to their end of the bargain. Before closing on my home, I heard stories form the sales agent that on multiple occasions the builder cancelled contracts and kept people's deposits. Once you sign on the dotted line and give them money, they have no intention of giving your money back even when they breach the contract. Beware. Get Inspection! 1 starHorrible customer service poor craftsmanship, this company doesnt stand behind their own warranties and do not do right by the customer. My house had foundation cracks and separation on the hardwood floor this shouldnt be happening on a 5 years old house
