1 starMy car was towed and my girlfriend's car was booted from a "loading zone" outside of her residence. We had just finished unloading a 50 lb table that she uses for her small business. The loading zone was not marked as a loading zone and has no paint color changes. She lives near this "loading zone" and guests freely park there daily. After I got towed another truck and resident pulled in there and parked overnight. As I write this review, there is a ********* ********* car parked there "illegally" as well. I have pictures of the aforementioned. The towing agent ****** told my girlfriend to shut up and kept calling her sweetheart. I regret not calling the police to stop this predatory business practice. I called the towing company and politely asked if this could be remedied and they hung up on me. I work as a healthcare provider and unfortunately If I want to take this to small claims court and pursue justice I will have to cancel a half or full day of patients from my schedule.Review fromShera H

1 star-10 stars!!!! These are predators! I was parked in a handicap spot with my tag showing and they threatened to not release my botted car if I didnt pay $250 and sign a consent form. The ripped the first one up when I wrote on it I didnt agree with the charge!!!! This company should be ashamed of themselves but they are horrible people who pray on disabled people. I felt so scared and threatened.Review fromMercy L

SCAMMERS!!! THEIVES! WHEEL BLOCKES NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN. A boot was put on both ********* son's car by Wheel Blockers on 6/29/2024 between 3:05 pm and 3:16 pm. I was participating in a community event on ************ campus. Upon my arrival at 9:00 am, I was specifically given directions by the security police officer to park in the parking deck across from the venue (**************) on the 1st level once I unloaded my car. My entire team and I were parked there the entire day with no issues. At 3:00 my son made several trips to the deck loading up the cars. On his last trip before moving the vehicles, he finds a BOOT on both our cars. He was being watched by the SCAMMERS. I had my HANDICAPPED placard clearly hanging from my mirror and I was in a regular spot because the 2 handicapped spaces were taken. They threatened to have me arrested & my car towed if I didn't pay $250 for each car ($500) to have the boots removed. I was not in violation of parking or illegally parked. I want a refund from these scammers. They sit and watch then they go in for the kill. I have a ***************** violated my rights. They ended up removing the boot well after 5 hr later. I have ******************** & will be going to the News.Wheel Blockers

You were parked on private property without authorization or required parking permit. That is parking for the retail businesses on site and not for an event across the street you were attending. Signs are clearly posted per city ordinance stating who parking is for. You should take your issue up with the event team that told you it was ok to park on someone elses property. Please follow all parking rules posted to avoid this situation.Review fromChris M

I was towed by wheel blockers here in *********. I do realize the nature of the business, I also realize no one likes being towed of course. I used to work for my Grandfathers towing company, Im no expert but I do understand the nature of how it all works for the most part. With that being said, the ignorance behind that company is ridiculously disrespectful. I was towed out of an area that had no time limit or time specifically stated that I had to move my car or else it would be enforced. I was parked and shopping in the same plaza that I was parked in. They are widely disrespectful in the way they talk to people, especially the ones that are not disrespectful to them. I called them to see if they had my car, they didnt even answer the question and immediately said its 350, 100$ a day everyday after this, and 450$ to be able to get it right now I responded and said so is my car there before I even head that way and he said to me are you incompetent or just dumb, this is the price, are you coming tonight or tomorrow Im not going to ask again and once I got there, the guy who was to open the gate was hanging out with 4 of his friends outside of the gate drinking. So I approached and asked if he was the guy I needed to talk to, to get my car out and he said yes, so I asked him why he has to talk to people like that, and then he upcharged it another 50$ because he can Again I realize youre a towing company, but you dont have to be a bad person or rude or have a disrespectful tone/ words to people just because you work for a towing company, and to be able to charge what you want due to your own feelings is just robbery. If I parked where I shouldnt, and I was ignorant to the signs and took my chances thats a largely different story but with pictures and recipets to prove the problem, I just dont understand how youre still in business. This to me is just unreal that they get away with whatever they want as if they arent a businessWheel Blockers

What youre saying is completely false. We have no reason to be rude or disrespectful to you when we are simply doing our job. Unfortunately for our employees its the other way around when people are mad and disrespectful at us for being booted or towed. A group of 4 employees hanging outside our gate drinking as you stated sounds as ridiculous as you saying that because that would clearly not be tolerated. Please pay attention to the towing signs and follow the rules going forward to avoid your vehicle being towed.Review fromJay H

1 starJust like all aforementioned reviews nobody likes to be towed. I understand the nature of the business and how dangerous it can truly be when interacting with an angry individual. That being said - I have the upmost respect for drivers and my interaction with the one driver on site was pleasant. However the dispatcher from this company was quite literally the last person in the world who needs to work in customer service. Based on the companys response condemning customers of being upset and lashing out at them; I expect them to have no gauge on what proper customer service looks like. This dispatcher did not even entertain the idea of responding to my questions and concerns with decency in common sense. He took the time to curse me out, curse out the head of security at the location in which the incident occurred and call me out of my name at least 10 times. All of which Is recorded. This message wont bring down the business and Im sure whoever from the company responds to these doesnt care in the slightest. My point is to bring light to the foolishness occurring and I hope that theres an honest effort to clean up your business in some way.Review fromJamey H

I think it is fair to say that no one enjoys being towed/wheel blocked, but tonight was an absolutely hideous display of unprofessional behavior. My wifes car was blocked outside of her job. When she came out and got in her car, they didnt even say anything to her. She tried to back out and the car twisted a little then stopped. At that point, the tow truck driver gets out and tells her that the property manager wanted her to be towed. When she told him she works there and asked who did she need to call, he told her call the number on the truck. The man who answered the phone yelled at her that she had two options: pay $250 now or pay $500 later, but if she called back there, he would call the police?!?!? She was already tired from working two shifts, she was stressed about paying for a tow bill for her car that was parked where she works, and then rather than talk to her like a human being he yelled at her and threatened her. He said his name was ******, and when she asked for his name, he retorted with Why? Whats your name? WheelBlockerz is notorious for vile behavior, but this one was completely unwarranted, unprofessional, and predatory. Absolutely unacceptable.Wheel Blockers

Unfortunately if your wifes vehicle was called in to be towed she didnt have authorization to park there. Our dispatchers and drivers have no reason to be rude. Its usually the other way around. If your wife worked there and had authorization to park there she could have easily called the same people we work for who called us in the first place to have the situation resolved.Review fromKay J

Unfortunately even with all the warning signs posted numerous people utilize the parking lot to go to court or other downtown locations to avoid paying for parking. As long as you dont leave your vehicle on the property to go elsewhere you wont have any issues.Review fromSean M

1 starMy car was put on the tow truck behind where I currently reside. My pass had fallen off the mirror and was between the seats. It was at the Renaissance town homes in Noda. When my neighbor called me I ran out and showed them my pass. They charged me a drop fee of 325 which is utterly ridiculous because it is 350 to two the car entirely. When I called the number I was hung up on.Review fromIvette L

1 starI parked at a post office uptown while I had to go pick up a document and then to mail it from the same post office. When coming to my car I had my car booted. When I called the phone number on the ticket I was informed I had to pay $200 dlls. which is outrageous. When on the sign it stated $125. When I called the company for explanation to this amount. He first stated he didnt set the prices. Then I proceeded to ask for a supervisor, he threatened me to send a towing truck over to tow my car. And it would be $350 to recover my vehicle. I told him I already had my vehicle in my possession and I requested a supervisor. He then said he was the supervisor and that he was setting the price and hung up on me. This company sure knows how to steal money from people. $200 is outrageous. They are not only rude but theyre robbing people.
