      On a 2 night stay from WV to ** to say goodbye to my father who is passing away in hospice, I reserved a room at Motel 6. Upon getting there, we realized the room they initially put us in smelled very bad so we asked to switch rooms. We have 2 very young children. The woman at the desk was VERY rude about it but did agree to changing our rooms which was an additional $30. The room we were put into had black mold/mildew all over and also smelled as well. Upon checkout, we discovered that the sink leaked all over our clothing for the trip and had ruined an entire duffel bag of clothes for our 10 hour drive back. My 2 year old son had accidentally mixed up his blanket for one of the ones they had and the same woman who was rude to us at the beginning of the stay started scolding us about the blanket and threatening to not give us our $100 security deposit back. Obviously upon realizing that this was a mixup, I gave the blanket backand at this point explained that the room was in awful conditions. She then got angry that we stayed there the entire visit with no complaint until then, and I explained that we didnt have unlimited money for another stay at another hotel for just a day since we were so far out of town.

      This is regarding complain Ms.Jaiden Gephart 

      Initially when she checked in, she had reservation for smoking room. upon arrival we gave her smoking-room, but she was not comfortable with smoking smell in room. she requested to change non-smoking room. we changed her room to non-smoking room. she stayed in that room for 2 nights. she also asked for extra blanket. when she checked out by mistake, she took extra blanket we called her to ask if she took extra blanket. she said by mistake she took extra blanket with her stuff. she came to return the blanket and we refunded her deposit too. In all this matter she did not like that we asked her to return extra blanket. when she came to return the blanket, she yelled at my staff rudely and started complaining things she had no issue while she stayed 2 nights. 

       

      My sincere apology to her for any confidence she had to face to return blanket. 

      please let me know if you want me make it any better to have her come back and give me business. I will also refund her $30 we charged her to change room.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      Unfortunately, my confidence wasnt in question when returning the missing blanket. I had no problem doing that, as there was a mixup. My problem was that I was threatened to not get my security deposit back and that my dying father was bothered about it ON TOP of the rude conditions we were treated the time we were there along with the black mold and mildew and my clothing being destroyed from the leaking sink. I dont believe I was the nicest to the staff after all of this transpired because of the way we were treated and the reluctance to handle the issue. I had a reason to be upset. Im going to need my $30 for the room change back and AT LEAST 50% of my stay compensated for the inconvenience. At this point, I am looking at legal action to take against Motel 6 through my attorney and reaching out to the local health department if this matter is not settled properly.
