I order a custom mailbox from ****** on 12/9/21. Fully expecting the mailbox to take time to be completed. It is now 6/16/23 and I cannot get a response from him in regards to this mailbox. He last emailed me on 1/18/23 stating my money would be refunded. I have not heard from him since and countless emails and calls to his business go unanswered and unreturned. I am rejecting this response because: the business owner is at best extremely unprofessional and at worst running a fraudulent business. I ordered this product in December of 2021 and until I filed this complaint in June 2023 - I received no communication from the owner and no product for which I paid for. The only time I ever got a response from the owner was after filing this complaint with the BBB. His response once I filed this complaint, I simply forgot. I am unsure how he could forget when I have documented emails and call to his business almost weekly for the last 2 years. I wish there was more action I could take to prevent anyone else from falling into his scheme.

The customer has been refunded in full. See attachment of receipt. I have responded to all emails from customer so him saying I have not responded is not true. Customer was told (in original email) this could take time. These are custom made and I do best I can and unfortunately they take time and do not always go as quickly as I hope. Bottom line if customer wants to wait I finish their mailbox. If they dont I refund in full as I did this order.

On December 15, 2020 ********************* of ****' Custom Mailboxes charged my credit card $375 for a custom mailbox and told me that it could take up to 4 months. Since then I have been told "it is almost done" on several occasions. The last time he said this was October of 2022. Since then he has not responded at all and has not given me a refund or the mailbox that was originally ordered.Business Response

I ordered a custom mailbox on 3/25/21 and still have no mailbox! I paid $375.00 and will now have to file a fraud claim with my bank. ****** gave me every excuse in the book as to why I haven't received my mailbox yet. It is now 1/30/23. I was very patient with him but it just got to be completely ridiculous. I have a chain of e-mails backing up my claims. Every time I inquired about the box he would tell me, should be done in 2 months and it never was. He even went as far as to send me a picture of some scrap pieces of wood to prove he was working on it. Eventually he just stopped replying to me all together so here I am, out $375 from almost 2 years ago and still no mailbox.Business Response

This is a special custom design which I ****** state can take a year or more when ordered. If customer wants refund I will gladly refund but last email I received from customer was on December 22nd where they only requested status. If customer wanted refund I would have refunded but no mention of that happened. On 9/17/2021 I ordered Item # **** ***** Cub Mailbox for $245 knowing it would take **** weeks for delivery. On 3/12/2022, I inquired when it would be done and owner stated end of April. After several additional emails back and forth requesting a delivery date on 10/14/2022 owner stated if it was not out by end of November he would gladly refund my money. After several additional emails asking for the refund and getting only excuses back as of today 01/25/2023 I still don't have a refund. At this point I just want my refund! Ordered a custom mailbox from Dean in June 2022 and still no product. He has every excuse in the book of reasons why it is delayed and promises well after week it will be done soon. I have several emails back and forth but still no product. His site needs to be taken down so no else falls victim to his fraudulent scamming. I ordered a mailbox last thanks giving 11/25/2021 for $275. I contacted the owner prior to placing order to see if the request could be completed. I was aware of the estimated completion date. I was even accepting of a few months delay given the pandemic. However after contacting ****** during the estimated time completion he assured me the product would be completed. After the estimated date began I started to inquire about physical dates 2-3 weeks etc., the owner started to say he would refund if not done. Week after week he has given excuse after exuse. I am a very reasonable person. However after I followed through with asking for proof of updates in creating the process -- the owner showed me other products not mine as false proof. He sent pictures of a blank mailbox and some animals when my order was a 1955 chevy truck. I have asked now for a refund and suddenly there is no response. I have about 50 emails back and forth between us throughout the past year. Today, I have had enough. I would like clarification and assurance the mailbox is in production. If it is not no hard feelings I would just like a refund.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: Purchased a custom mailbox from this company for $275 back in 2021 November. I have had contact via email with the seller. He strung me along saying it will be done -- not started-- progress but not complete. I asked for photos. He provided images of his work in progress for other customers not mine. I emailed in March ***************************************************************** December 2022. He replied no he stated he would provide a complete refund in the next **** business days. He did not. I am without a product. Without a refund. The man has not responded to any of my emails. He is a fraud.

This order was on 11/26 and custom. The amount was actually ****** (see attached receipt) It was delayed and I have not received any emails or I would have indeed responded. It could be in my junk mail and I will check. I will make sure the refund is processed back to original payment this week and send customer a receipt. From there it will take 5-7 business days to show back on their account. These items are custom hand made and when I get behind as I am they take time. We ordered a mailbox from ****** well over a year ago. We have a long email chain checking in on the progress with responses about health issues and continued promised shipping dates that never hold true. I'm filing this complaint to let all know this is WELL over the timeline quoted for completion. He told us 6-9 months and possibly a year for the total time. It's been almost 19 months since our $220 charge. We would love the mailbox still, but clearly this isn't happening, so we are requesting a refund.Business Response

I ordered a custom made mailbox in November of 2020. I was told it might take several months to complete. I accepted this. It has now been nearly two years since I paid in full $375.00 to this business and still have no mail box! I waited six months and in May of 2021 I began emailing the owner of this business about my mailbox. I always received a reply with an excuse of some type or another. I asked to see a sketch of the mailbox but was told that would not be possible. I have been more than patient with this business and today I reached out one more time and requested a full refund. I have always gotten a timely response but today I have had no reply! I dont believe the owner has even begun making my mailbox and I wonder if he ever intended too! I ordered a custom mailbox in June 2020. Lonnie said it would take awhile to build it. I accepted that it may take up to a year. I was even ok, not happy but ok with 1.5 years. I have not been able to get in touch with him since Sept of last year, 2021. I have emailed 4 times. The last reply said it would be done in October 2021. I still have not received my mailbox. At this point I do not believe he has even started my mailbox. I’d like a refund ASAP OR my mailbox to be mailed this week. Not next month. I’ve been more than nice. This is robbery. It was supposed to be a surprise gift. Well the person I bought it for is no longer alive. That’s how long it’s taken.Business Response
