Have had a problem with my new floor in new home from beginning. W**** has responded but with little to no results. I have seams that are noticeable immediately walking in door. When Mr w**** walked in he acted like I was the only one to see it. But has been a talked about thing with new home as it’s the first thing you see. Was told we would have to continue to put putty in seams , but it would come back out when it hardens. I continued to show him open seams to where you can see staples where wood had opened at seams. He said most likely caused by putting the flooring along the seams of subfloor. I did ask if you know this why would you do it and he said it couldn’t be helped. . I think knowing this I would make sure by measuring that it would be avoided. . And this is in different places on the floor. I have owned 3 homes in my life that all had hardwood floors and not one seam opened In our small development all the houses except for some I have not spoke with have the same problems and are due due for their 1 year warranty inspection and from what I have been told the flooring is first on their list. I hope they get better results than I have. To be in business for this long you would think they would have solutions to this problem. But evidently as long as they are okay with it then they are satisfied. When Mr w**** came in I told him and showed him the issues and his only solutions was to keep putting the putty into the seam and yes it will dry up and come out. And that when you put a seam over the subfloor then it’s going to happen. Like I said earlier if they knew this there has to be a way that this doesn’t occur if that is indeed the cause. The way he worded it, it was not their problem and said he had to go. I am not saying to take up all the floor but take up where it has open seams and fix the problem and put floor down where it doesn’t do it . When Mr. W**** absolved himself of any responsibility. There are more complaints coming maybe. we will see.
