    *********************** of L and S landscape came to my house and gave me a quote of $5,500 to: cut down and remove bamboo, dig bamboo stumps up and remove, lightly grade yard, put down seed and straw. I paid half of that amount, $2,750 upfront. I was quoted after work started an additional $2,200 to cut down bamboo one foot on the other side of my fence, lay down landscaping fabric and rock, and cut down overhanging limbs. I paid this amount in full. Initial payment was deposited on July 5th and the additional payment was deposited on July 7th. Some bamboo was removed but the owner took several months to do any partial work. I have been patient in giving them time to send me a refund but the owner refuses to give me the amount I will be refunded and has mentioned lawyers will reach out to discuss information further but the owner will not give me his lawyers information.

    Using recommendations from the ************** FB group, we contacted *********************** for an estimate for landscape work. Long story short, we contracted with him on June 17, 2023 for work to be completed and paid him 1/2 of the estimate, to secure the materials and schedule the work. He came one afternoon in August for about 2 hours and did some spraying and weedeating and laid out landscape cloth for the sidewalk that was in our contract. EVERYTHING ELSE was a list of empty promises for work delayed or rescheduled, but nothing was done. NUMEROUS promises after requests of a return of our (substantial) deposit, subtracting for the 2 hours of work, have gone unanswered, as of this date. We have documentation of all correspondence with the owner regarding this issue.

    I engaged ***********************, Owner of L&S Landscape Construction on Dec 16, 2022 to complete four (4) hardscaping projects on my property. The final estimate was $21,800 for all labor and materials, which was agreed to. I was verbally told that by providing the required initial 50% payment, it would secure my place in line and that our projects would begin January 16. Also told verbally that we prioritize your project until it is complete. The estimate was that it would take two weeks to complete. On Dec 16, 2022 *** was given a check for $10,900. On December 29, 2022, *** asked for and was given another check for $6,000 for materials that were to be delivered January 6, 2023. They were not delivered. Between Dec 16, 2022 and today the crew has only shown up on 4 occasions (December 29, January 17, February 7, and February 22) to work for a few hours. No one has shown up since February 22. None of the four projects are completed. Between February 22 and April 9, I either messaged or called *** over a dozen times with no reply or that I should expect him the next day. On April 10, I sent an ultimatum to *** that I needed all the work completed, or that he would return 75% of the funds I deposited with him. He asked for an opportunity to finish the jobs and we agreed that the job would be complete by April 28, 2023. The job was not completed, and *** reached out to me that he had started the process to get my refund on April 26th and I should receive it in **** business days (May 25th). *** proactively scheduled to come by and clean up the construction debris in my driveway on May 2, 2023. When I inquired on the status of the refund on June 3, he replied it would be sent out the week of June12-16th. As of today, I still have not received my refund, I still have the debris in the driveway and *** has stopped returning messages.In addition, I have Caution Tape across the entrance to my home that *** Installed at the start of the project.
