1 starTrue Homes Built Our House Extremely Disappointed True Homes built our home in 2019, and unfortunately, this has been the worst homeownership experience weve ever had. From the beginning, we were overpromised and underdelivered every step of the way through closing. The issues began immediately and havent stopped:Roof: The roof came with only a 1-year warranty and now, just a few years later, its leaking. Estimated replacement cost: $10,000 to $20,**************: The slab floor was cracked before closing. I was told it was taken care of, but the flooring was installed before I had a chance to verify. That left me with no way to confirm whether proper repairs were done.Drainage Issues: The yard was improperly graded, causing ongoing water issues. Fixing this is expected to cost over $15,************* Problems: At HOA meetings, it's hard to find a homeowner whos truly satisfied. The neighborhood pool is now permanently closed due to structural problems its literally sinking. Estimated cost to rebuild: $600,000, meaning a possible $1,000 assessment per ******* feels like True Homes focused on speed and cost-cutting rather than quality and integrity. What was supposed to be our forever home has turned into a massive disappointment. Were now seriously considering selling and moving into a better-built home.If I do sell, one thing is certain: I will never buy another True Homes property again.Review fromIan J

This is a terrible company. If I could rate them zero, I would. My husband and I were forced to close on our house 3 months before the date agreed and all the lost was transferred to us. The company refused to take any accountability. The manager ***** was very rude, inconsiderate and has no form of integrity. Our sales advisor ***** was just a ***** who lied to us just to get his sales and dished us later. Except for the builder *** who built our house, the rest of them are just a bunch of crooks. I wouldnt recommend anyone to use this company.True Homes, LLC

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand that building and purchasing a new home is a major life event, and we regret that your experience did not meet your expectations. We take all client concerns seriously and always strive to communicate with care and ****************** this situation, your home was completed on time and ready for closing. We understand that you were navigating a personal milestone at the time and requested to delay closing by several months. While we were unable to delay closing due to contractual and operational obligations, our team worked diligently to help ease the transition. This included providing additional closing cost assistance to help offset your rent in ******** so you wouldn't face the burden of double housing costs during that period. Our communication throughout this process was primarily coordinated with your broker, who consistently shared that they were pleased with how the situation was handled. While we recognize that there were moments of tension, our team remained committed to supporting you with professionalism and integrity. Were disappointed to hear that this was not your perception. We do appreciate your kind mention of our builder, ***. Our team takes great pride in the quality and care put into each home we deliver.Again, we're truly sorry that this experience fell short of your expectations. We value your feedback as it helps us continue to improve the client experience.Review fromAaron C

1 starTrue Homes made us Truly Homeless. We went under contract with True Homes in July 2024 to build us a semi-custom home. We paid their required deposit and designed the home in August 2024. They began construction in October 2024 and were projecting us to close in March 2024. On 3/10 we were notified our New Home Orientation would be on 3/19 and the NHO was to be approximately 7 days before close. So on 3/18, we sold our house, had our belongings put into storage and moved our 3 kids and 2 cats into a nearby hotel for what we thought would be a few days. Between 3/17 and 3/25, True Homes rescheduled our NHO 5 times, each time with very little notice, one of the 5 rescheduled days also did not work for us and we all agreed to a 3/31 NHO. On the morning of 3/31, we confirmed with the sales manager that the closing date was pushed to later in the week, as it was to be approximately 7 days after the NHO and there was an electrical issue and roofing issues identified by our home inspector that hadn’t been addressed. We signed off on the NHO list along with True Homes. A few moments later our builder left abruptly and then we received an angry call from the building manager trip brick flipping out saying that True Homes was terminating our contract and refunding our deposit. We went and met with him and the sales manager in a model home. We didn’t understand what was happening and asked what had changed from when we confirmed with the sales manager that morning that closing was later that week. We asked if it was the items in the NHO, were they too difficult to fix, did they want to walk the home with us so we could explain what they were. They were all things that could be addressed in a couple days time. They refused, and said if we didn't close that day they were going to terminate our contract, but we couldn't as the closing time had already passed. They said they would call us that night to discuss further, but instead terminated and sold to someone else the next day.Review fromk. b.

When a warranty issue comes up they are quick to point the finger at manufacturers even thought multiple contractors have stated "improper installation." Have spent over $100,000 in 2yrs properly fixing what TrueHomes built.True Homes, LLC

True Homes offers an industry leading warranty program, and we partner with our clients to find solutions to their concerns long after the warranty may have expired. In reviewing this client's records, our associates and ************** have met with the client and offered assistance in utilizing their very robust manufacturer warranty benefits.k. b.

Your associates never reached out, I had to try multiple times and when I did finally get someone; she pointed to the manufacturer. Multiple contractors and the insurance company have also said "improper installation." Your sales representative also reached out via ******** calling me a whiner and telling me not to make it public because it will lower property values. If your houses and team were so great; why are foundations breaking, floors cracking, interior walls rotting within 10yrs of homes being built. This is a common problem in the neighborhood.Review fromBob S

We have not received any warranty service requests from this client since last July. When we received this review today, we contacted the client and set up a meeting for tomorrow to inspect his concerns. True Homes encourages all clients to communicate with us through their client portal or via our website submittal process so we can resolve their issues in a timely manner.Review fromSabrina E

We purchased our home February of 2024. My husband and I were forced to sign the paperwork work with issues still needing to be fixed. The inspector was made aware of issues that were never fixed. We were rushed through the inspection now left to deal with a bunch of issues. True home is the worse builder do not recommend purchasing a home from them. Theyre not concerned with your issues. Please do your homework. Im ready to sell my home. Unhappy customer.True Homes, LLC

Horrible to work with for out of town buyers. They tried to make us close on New Years Eve, then tried to charge us $1000 for not closing. They rushed the home and did not have quality control. Had the inspection done and it failed. Had to have the inspection done 3 times and not completed until 12/30/2024. Then they had not completed the crown molding which we agreed to, but they did not reimburse us by adding n addendum to the contract which they did not sign until 1/2/2025. They still insisted we pay them $1000. We did not and will never use True homes againTrue Homes, LLC

It is disheartening to hear that this client is frustrated with the experience. Our closing dates are communicated early and often to allow our out-of-town buyers time to make travel arrangements. Our clients agree by contract that any delay on closing on their part is $500 a day fee. As a customer service gesture, we had waived the $1000 fee before this client posted this review. We trust this client will love their True Home for many years to come.Review fromC.

We purchased our house in July 2024 and have been living here for six months now. Unfortunately, it feels like the house is falling apart. The complaints I've read online about True Homes are absolutely true. When we first moved in, we noticed that the laminate flooring was extremely cheap. It started tearing whenever we placed something down. We had a tough time with True Homes regarding this issue initially, but thankfully, the manager eventually helped us out. However, our problems didn't end there. Our windows, baseboards, walls, kitchen area, and crown molding all need caulking. When the manager came out last week, he informed us that these issues are not covered under the warranty, and it was part of the house settling and we would need to fix them ourselves. I was calm but extremely frustrated. Instead of calling professionals, he used a staple gun to fix the molding on top of our cabinets, leaving a tiny hole that I had to cover myself. It felt very inconsiderate. We chose True Homes because we have an adult child with cerebral palsy who is confined to a wheelchair, and they built the house to accommodate her needs. It's not that we don't want to pay for the house, but after just six months, things are already falling apart. This has been a terrible experience for our first home, and I'm seriously considering putting it on the market.I urge everyone to do their homework before choosing a builder. I didn't, and now I'm dealing with the same issues I've read about in reviews. While the homes may look beautiful, the materials are cheap and the quality is poor. They charge a lot for upgrades at the design studio, but you'd be better off getting materials from ****** or ***********I hope my review will help someone else before buying from this builder.True Homes, LLC

We are disheartened to hear this client isn't pleased with their home. It is our intention to educate our clients on their homes so they can enjoy it for many years to come. Our Warranty Orientation details maintenance tasks that all clients will need to perform. We believe the client is dissatisfied with the caulking that has separated in their home due to the heat. This will be a maintenance task that will need to be performed by the client during the life of the home. This is a common issue when we enter winter months and heat is used in the home. When we met with this client, we were shown the torn vinyl floor and the loose crown molding on the cabinet. The client explained to us their movers had damaged the vinyl floor during move in. Additionally, the client explained that she had used the crown molding on the cabinet to pull herself up to decorate the top of the cabinets. We repaired the floor as a courtesy to this client. There is no further action warranted for these items however True Homes stands ready should this client report a warrantable concern.C.

I'm extremely disappointed and fed up with how they're handling this situation. I've been living here for six months, and the issues are piling up.When ******, the manager, came out, he claimed our home was settling. He didn't attribute it to the winter months or our heating system.Regarding the cabinets, he's outright lying. At 250 pounds, if I had pulled myself up on those cabinets, they would have ripped off the wall and crashed to the floor. They're fabricating their story to make themselves look good. Not all their reviews are positive, and for good reason. They pushed us to complete the survey after just two months so they could get their bonuses. Now, they're giving us the runaround and ignoring serious construction issues. When we had water damage right after moving in, True Homes sent someone to fix the cabinets due to bubbling. That guy ended up tearing our flooring.I have pictures and videos to prove every word I'm saying. I have no reason to lie. Their staff is discriminatory in how they treat certain customers, and I'm not the only resident who sees this.
