06/20/24, Purchase of vehicle at $14,622.54 with following products still owed to me: wheel caps and fixing the clicking noise when turning on vehicle 06/27/24 - ******* pressure issue problem which locks the truck when driving, creates a traffic hazard and makes it impossible to comute to work. 07/03/24 - Brought to the dealership for their mechanic to look at it, I had to leave it there for them to look at it. I rented a car from Enterprise from 07/03/24-07/05/24 to comute for work and go places. ($162.84)07/06-08/09/24 - Continued issues. Dealer lends me a car as they bring it to a **** dealership to diagnose it, **** lists over $10k worth of issues but nothing is done to truck. 08/10 - 09/09/24 - Car continues to have issues and I bring it to Christian ********** for them to diagnose to fix. They quote over $13k to fix and I pay to take care of low oil pressure and other items found similar to **** quote. ($13,639.************** - I get a rental car from Enterprise to use during repairs. ($425.24)09/19/24-06/28/25 - Car works fine. I bring my truck to get state inspected on 06/28/25 and it fails due to window tint being 14% based. I go to dealer to indicate problem as the state inspection they did last year omitted the tint problem and I believe they should correct it since they illegally passed an inspection that shouldn't of passed. They didn't believe me, brought out their tint meter and it showed 18% on their meter, they looked at another vehicle at it was at 20%. I told them after seeing that that I would prefer they reimburse me to get the window tint taken off and retinted because they just wanted to just scrape it off with a blade and not retint. I went to ********** Finest to get it fixed and get my truck to pass the state inspection ($153.93)I believe the business needs to reimburse me and/or the ***** definitely needs to penalize them for the false positive state inspection on the truck.

On Saturday, June 28th, 2025, Mr. ********* visited my dealership and placed a failed inspection notice on my wifes desk, asking what she planned to do about it. She was unaware of the situation, so I stepped in to assist.

Mr. ********* explained that he had purchased a vehicle from our dealership approximately a year ago, and it was now failing state inspection due to window tint being too dark. I accompanied Mr. ********* to his vehicle and used a tint meter to verify the issue. He was correctthe tint exceeded the legal limit.

I offered to remove the tint at no cost, explaining that we frequently handle similar situations for vehicles that do not meet inspection standards. However, Mr. ********* began questioning our removal process. To reassure him, I brought him to our service area and demonstrated how we remove tint. He then made a phone call and subsequently informed me that he was not satisfied with our method. He stated that he would have the tint removed elsewhere, and expected us to re-tint the vehicle afterward.

I explained that reapplying a tint that exceeds the legal limit would result in the same inspection issue in the future.

Mr. ********* left the dealership without accepting our offer. I followed up with a text summarizing our conversation, but he did not respond. I also attempted to call him to further resolve the matter. He did not answer, and has not returned my voicemail.

I am rejecting this response because:

I did come back to the dealership as I wanted to speak about my concern on how the truck did not pass the state inspection and I believe it was worth coming to get that fixed. ******** and one of his techs took out his tint meter to see if the tint reading from the ******** was correct/accurate. They found it to be 18% which was well under the minimum and compared it to another car in dealership and that car was under the minimum as well.

Estefani is omitting some information that I think is relevant. I was seeking to "remove and retint" to pass the inspection and not just have the window scraped off because when they were talking about scraping it off, I grew concerned and talked to the ******** people to get an expert opinion. They recommended they do it with a heat gun and I asked ******** if they have one. He then directed me to the back of the dealership to show the process of taking the window tint is similar to scraping it with a blade (one that looked like a razor that you would use for shaving). He then proceeded to show me him scraping a sticker off with the razor.

I indicated to him that I would prefer getting someone else to do it that would use a heat gun and could retint it because this problem was something they overlooked and seemed not to care much about. I asked if he would reimburse me to get another place to remove and retint since it sounded like they would just scrape and call it a day and ******** rejected that proposal.

When I asked him to show me another car on the dealership that passed the state minimum 32%, he deflected that scraping is not a big deal and that he didn't need to do that.

After his denial to show me another tint reading, to reimbursing me to remove and retint from another place, and to not see how much I already put in this truck from omitted problems they passed on to me. I felt better to go somewhere else and not feel like a hostage.

Mr. ********* is not incorrect in his concernthe window tint on his vehicle was tested with a meter and did read at 18%. After confirming this, I offered to remove the tint so his vehicle could pass state inspection. I also took the time to show Mr. ********* our standard removal process, which involves using a heat gun and a specialized blade commonly used in detailing shops. While I understand his hesitation about using a blade, it's important to clarify that this is not a shaving blade, but a tool specifically designed for safe and effective tint removal.

Despite my offer, Mr. ********* declined to have us proceed with the removal. Out of respect for his preference, I attempted to reach him afterward to arrange for the tint to be removed and replaced by a method he felt more comfortable withat our expense.

Our offer still stands: we're happy to cover the cost of the tint removal, the inspection, and the replacement tint on the two front windows. We want to ensure Mr. ********* is fully satisfied and that his vehicle complies with inspection requirements.

I am rejecting this response because:
Is this confirmation that Power on Auto LLC is reimbursing me for the state inspection from ******** ($30) and for the removal and retinting from ********** Finest ($153.93)? If so, how will this be done?

In the interest of resolving this matter amicably for both parties, I will cover the cost of the tint removal, tint replacement, and the inspection. Based on my understanding, the total amount is $183.93. Please can this amount be confirmed. I will send a check to Mr. ********* for this amount.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint, and find that this resolution (to pay me back for the tinting and state inspection for $183.93) is satisfactory to me.

    Thank you.

Bought a vehicle from dealership on November 10th. I paid $3000 as a down payment. The night the vehicle was brought home I had to put a new battery in it. The vacuum seal on the gas tank was also messed up and it took 30 minutes to pump gas. Within the first week of having the vehicle it started cutting off at stop lights and struggling to start sometimes. After observation it was found out the oil dip stick was cutting into the crankshaft positioner sensor. The vehicle was bought back by the dealership on Jan 11th, due to the full payment not paid for the vehicle monthly payment. When the vehicle was returned **** said he would refund the down payment once the vehicle was assessed. Now **** is refusing to refund money or personal belongings.

Thank you for the communication regarding this matter.  The client defaulted on her 1st payment with the lender.  We had to repay proceeds received based on our contract with the lender in which caused us to REPO the current vehicle.   The repo is grounds of default for which the customer had possession of said vehicle for over 30 days.   All funds received are part of the default and additional fees had to be repaid to the lender as well.
