    In Spring of 2021 Lake Norman Docks quoted a price to install a new dock at my vacation home at *******************************. Included in the quote was a $1500 permit fee to comply with all requirements to get the dock approved. I provided a property survey as requested. Th dock was completed in October 2021. I was in ******* at the time it was installed I paid the invoice in full, for $18,700 which includes $1500 for a permit, which was included in my initial deposit of $4500 I am planning to sell the property. I recently reached out to *********** who issues the permits on Lake Norman, and no permit was ever requested or issued. Now I will again have to pay for a permit plus substantial penalties to try to get this dock permitted. I am unable to sell my property without a dock permit. Text messages, phone calls and emails to ******************* at Lake Norman Docks are being completely ignored. I have tried numerous times to reach ************, who I believe is the owner of Lake Norman Docks in **************.

    I signed a contract with Lake Norman Docks to build a dock on my property a year and a half ago. They required $21,000 down payment to hold a place in line and then another $33,000 once work started. After many months I asked them when they would start work and they informed me that they had spent the money I gave them on other work and had no money left for my dock. I negotiated with them to get some of the work done, however the work they did was not up to code. I had to hire another company to finish the work and still have not had my money refunded. I hired them in part because they were showing an A+ BBB rating on their website! I was surprised to see that it was revoked becauae to this day they are still showing as an A+.
