LuminaSun Smart Home is a complete scam, and I will advise anyone to stay away from this company. The sales guy, ****** falsely advertised their product to me. I was informed that I will only be paying a service fee of between $7-$14.00 after the installation but my *********** bill is over $200.00 per month. In addition, I'm paying this Loan to a third party per month, which was not made clear to me at the beginning. *****, the sales guy is refusing my calls and hangs up on me anytime I call him. This is unacceptable!!!I'm looking for an attorney who will help me take legal action against this company. This is a complete fraud!!!!

The sales pitch is great. 60% savings. Shall I attach my power bill to show only 89kwh was sent to the grid this month and still over $200 power bill? I have NEVER had more than a 25 to 30% savings. So i ********* bill,l and solar bill for a very long time. How about in the beginning the ONLY reason I wanted solar is because it had outlets that would allow me to run off stored energy for a day or so in the event of a power outage. Guess what. Those are illegal in ** and I was told that I should know this. They come out to "fix" the problem. Take the outlet off. Now my complaint fell on deaf ears twice to the **** They just let it go and reissue a letter. They can't keep anyone working there long enough to know the case, went on for years, VERY FALSE ADVERTISING! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

    **************,

Your solar system is currently functioning. Production is based on the systems overall size. For the month of December, your system was only proposed to produce around 526 kWh, which would be roughly 17 per day (though systems are built on an annual level, and should only be monitored as such).

I've used Lumina Sun in the past and have always had a really good experience. We have several properties and all have LS installed solar systems. I appreciate the polite, punctual techs, and for sure, appreciate the friendly knowledgeable office staff who always guide me though the arduous "government rebate" paper work process.

I used Lumina Sun to add on to my current solar array in Sept of 2022(work was completed in Oct of 2022). At that time we had multiple issues with the installers....several coming to my home and dancing in my driveway and front yard, leaving multiple large screws and washers in my backyard all over the place for my dogs or children to eat/step on in addition to throwing items on my roof that hit one of our vehicles. I made mention to the company and they said they were sorry, but nothing else was ever done. Fast Forward to June of 2023 and I check my production for my solar(not something I was always checking) and find out that my production after Lumina Sun did their work was actually less than before they installed more panels to my array. How could this be? I reached out to have someone come out and take a look at our install. Their tech came out and found that when they installed the additional panels they had not installed a better inverter that could handle the production of the additional panels so every time the sun came out and my production exceeded what the inverter could handle, it would shut the system down. The company agreed to upgrade the inverter(which should have been done initially) and then offered to pay me $500 to make up for the lost production I suppose. Mind you I have been paying a loan(over $110 a month) along with having decreased solar production (which should be in that neighborhood as well) and they think $500 is reasonable. I cannot believe that this is how a company operates, when you take from someone the right thing to do is make them whole...that's how you retain and get new customers. Here is hoping we can come to some form of reasonable resolution.

    Thank you for reaching out,
According to our records your add-on was complete in September of 2022. You reached out to our ****************** on June 21, 2023 with production concerns.  We made a visit to the home and after a thorough assessment it was determined that your existing inverter was maxing out and limiting additional production. This means that your inverter needed to be upgraded to a larger size. This was not included in your original proposal, only the panels were.

It is hard to quantify how much production was lost due to the inverter capacity. LuminaSun offered you a $500 courtesy reimbursement in an effort to maintain quality customer service, as well as upgrade the inverter at no additional charge ($4800 value, including installation). While we understand you are requesting more, this is all we are able to offer at this time.

We believe that the production issue has been resolved with the upgraded inverter and you will be seeing a reduced energy bill in the future.

They explained how the project works including the government incentives and the new laws. I got installed in January 2021 and I am so happy I made the decision. At first I wasnt sure about all the benefits but knew it was a good idea. Now I see the electric rates have gone up, my friends are complaining about their bills and the news is frequently bringing up increases. Inflation is a real factor. Literally everything has gone up except what I pay for electricity because of my solar panels. I dont normally write reviews, however I am compelled to do so because this company has been very responsive and has corrected issues with lots of communication and relatively quickly. I wish more companies actually cared like they do. I like that when I call a clear speaking human in America picks up. The solar consultant was very knowledgeable and wasnt just talking about saving money but about all the things would affect my family and budget by not going solar. The conversation has proven to be valuable and now I feel like a genius for making the right decision. I have a *****kw system and no battery. I just got another electric vehicle and they are charged by the sun! I am happy I did it with Luminasun. The other companies I looked at are no longer in business. Again I am very happy with my service and installation and I hope this company prospers.

We began our installation process in September 2022, here we are 7 months later and we still do not have what we are paying for and we continue to receive the run around from all staff that answer the phones at Lumina. ********************* was our sales agent, he presented a contract to us that promised right at 100% solar coverage of our home energy usage. We were quoted an estimated *********** bill by Lumina to be around $12-15 per month. My power bill is still over $100 per month, and I only receive excuses when I talk to customer service reps on the phone for *********************************** began in November and it was discovered that our fuse box would have to be upgraded. So the team sent someone to do that. They cut my drywall up in my laundry area and left the wall looking terrible. When I reached out about that, someone was sent to "patch" the area. It looks like a joke! I am still waiting on someone to come correct my wall. I have talked to *******************, *********************, and others-and have been promised a call back from a Supervisor. My call was actually transferred to a supervisor's voicemail, and I left a detailed voicemail and still have not received a return call. The solar app for my phone has never worked correctly, despite multiple phone calls and emails to this company. So there is no way for me to visualize how much solar energy we are producing.Additionally, once our panels were installed, we realized that water is getting into our home somehow around the panels. So when it rains, there is water going somewhere in my attic and now dripping into one of my living rooms. I have notified ************* multiple times, sent photos, begged for help. Yet, no one from this company seems to care. As time creeps on, I am afraid that water damage is being caused to my home and this is only going to add up to bigger problems. This has turned into a disaster and I am afraid that we are now left with the only choice of seeking Legal counsel.

    ****************,
We have been actively working on trying to address your concerns mentioned in your review. As I understand it, you had a service at your property on 5/08, as well as today 5/15 where our crew removed the panels in the area that was causing concern so that we could hire a roofing company to take a look at the condition of your roof to ensure that this area will not continue to present a concern. I know we have been to your property multiple times prior to this, so I apologize it has taken several visits to narrow down the area of concern. Additionally the drywall damage will be subcontracted out to repair the area to your standards. ************** did his best to complete this, but this is out of our field workers scope of work. We are happy to work with another company to ensure the area is back to normal. As for your monitoring, our service department will reach out to you very soon to ensure this has been addressed. Please feel free to contact ** with any further questions or concerns.

Purchased solar panels through AMP SMART, Solar panels system to be installed by Lumina Sun smart Home, LLC of *********** **. Panels were installed in August 2022, it is now December 2022 and the system is not working yet. The county inspector has failed the installation job twice now. It took 3 weeks for Lumina people to come after the first inspection failed, no idea how long it will take after this failed inspection. When I call the company all I get is a voicemail, and have had to call back a minimum of 3 times before I received a return call then they say we will see when we can get someone out. Yes, their service after the sale is nonexistent. If and when the system passed inspection then ********** has to install the electric meter, so then I have to wait for Lumina to send Duke the work order, and as slow as this company is that will probably take another 6 months. I would not believe anything the Salesperson from *** SMART says about Lumina Sun Smart Home.

****************, I am sorry to hear about your experience. I do know that during the time of your installation we were very backed up with Service calls and tried to schedule the best we could. It appears after reviewing your project notes that the county was requiring a placard to be ordered for the site, which was not code required at the time and there were some discrepancies about that. I know this doesn't make it better but it is true...we don't have control over when inspections can be performed by a county nor do we have control over Duke's schedule. As much as we wish we did, we aren't able to make that happen. There are a lot of moving parts and pieces to a solar installation and sometimes things can take longer than expected. On behalf of LuminaSun and AMP, I truly am sorry for your experience. Should you have any issues arise, please do call our office and we will assist you promptly.

Lumina Sun installed our solar panels in April 2022. Nothing but headaches with this company. We are paying more than we ever did for an electric bill, with the solar loan. Our electric bill has not gone down as they promised it would. Having issues with getting them to check on our panels as we feel that they aren't working properly. Twice they were supposed to come and twice they never showed. Although, when they finally did have a technician show, 3/4 of our panels weren't even wired in. Then the customer service specialist accused us or our neighbors of sabotaging the system. Luckily, we have security cameras around our house and in the area of the solar box.

Thank you for your feedback. We apologize that this has been your experience, and would like to work towards turning this around for you. We also apologize for any miscommunication through your service process. We never did, or would insinuate that the disconnection of your wires was something intentionally done on your part. We were however unsure of how this occurred, and wanted to be cautious moving forward. We were able to compensate you for your downtime experienced, and will be reaching out very soon to see if there is anything further we can do to ensure this is the best experience possible.
