    Landlord/Breeden real estate has failed to provide safe and habitable housing for me with property I'm renting from them. Alot of Herrasment from nieghbors and house recently shot at. Shot through the walls in a bedroom. People continue shooting. There are police reports. They should help. They are not. Retired DAV. Have bad legs. I'm 58 live alone. Police agree I've become a target for junkies. Have been sleeping in the floor. They shot my place while I was sleeping late 2 weeks ago. They should have to help me move. Have no record nor any history like this happening. I don't drink or drug. Live alone. Have and know no one. Mom just past away. I do not bother anyone. No social media. No nothing.

    As Property Managers, we have no authority to arbitrate or manage criminal activity and always refer tenants to their local police when they report criminal activity to us.  When this tenant contacted us about this event we referred him to local authorities who came out and told him there was nothing they could do since they had no proof of who did this.  The tenant was not happy with this response and expected us to take the law into our own hands to hold someone accountable.  Although we explained our position to the tenant multiple times, we received numerous derogatory emails degrading our staff and our business along with a phone confrontation cursing our staff.  We have met our obligation to provide safe and habitable housing as outlined by NC General Statute 42 Article 5 and offered the tenant the opportunity to break his lease without charges but he chose to stay another month and a half.
