I am having issues with this bank when it comes to them dealing with my disputes. This bank is very weird. Firstly my account was compromised, somebody made a zelle profile with my checking account number and their phone number and $2,500 was stolen. *************************** kept saying they tried to reach out to zelle and kept telling me to go through zelle to solve it. Finally, my mom decided to call around and that's when the bank decided to refund it. It should not take us calling 5 different numbers and my mom calling another branch to get refunded. I want to know how somebody was even able to set up a zelle profile on my account and I was not notified. Whenever I have to change my phone number, I have to email them, then sign a form, then call them but somebody was able to change my phone number on my account and make a zelle profile and there was no verification for that.....? This is a sketchy bank and this is the first time this has ever happened to me!They also keep charging me maintenance fees which should not be charged since I moved my money out of the account due to it being compromised..... I'm not about to keep my money in a bank when someone knows my information and when they were not even trying to help that much..... They have refunded those after I kept calling...Now I have 3 other disputes that need to be solved. All of my orders were wrong, damaged, or had items missing. The bank told me **** denied the Uber eats dispute but did not give a good explanation on why they did. I got sent a letter saying I could appeal it but the bank said once **** denies it, there's nothing they can do.. So what was the point of sending a letter saying I could appeal and then not allow me to? The only time I explained what was wrong with these disputes is when I called them and after that I was never asked for more information or even updated. I have to keep calling up here when they should be the ones contacting me. They have poor communication skills.

      Business Response

      Date: 10/12/2023

North State Bank strives to take care of its customers and takes complaints seriously.  Due to the nature of the disputed items, additional research from the merchants to authenticate the claims can take several weeks.  As a result of this additional research and due diligence, North State Bank was able to recover all of ********************** funds which have been refunded to her account.  Any fees accrued during this time were also refunded.
