      We purchased and installed 56 new custom-made Ply Gem windows for our home and 11 (20%) of them have failed. The failures are cracks, broken seals and/or inoperability.

      Purchased $5,000+ of windows and company wont stand behind defective windows that have defects between the two insulated glass sheets Company will not stand behind replacing these defective glasses plus they want to add charges for shipping in excess of $120 and the $300 for installation of their defective glass

      We purchased our home in 1996 and received a Lifetime warranty for our Vinyltek Windows and doors from ************************* in ******, ********** **************. We have submitted Warranty Claim Forms several times with no response. In January 2024 the local representative conducted a site visit to our home. Our warranty claim ID is **************. We submitted the Warranty claim with supporting documents and photos. Their local representative is doing business as Island Renovations, ****************** In *********, Hi. ************. We have contacted them several times and they have not received any information from the manufacturer about the claim. We are the original owners of the home, and the following windows and doors need to be replaced: kitchen, bedroom, sliding glass door which we are unable to open.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      ******* at Cornerstone provided information for sources for replacement  parts for which they would reimburse us.  The frame of the window is broken and the window crank has ripped out of the frame. Replacement parts will not fit this window.  The 4ft by 8ft sliding glass door is double pane and is very heavy. The vinyl styles of the door are flexing away from the glass as it is very difficult to move.  The second floor window with the broken hinge is beyond my ability to replace even if I can purchase the correct part.  Professional contractors are needed to assess and coordinate identification of replacement parts, purchase and perform installation.

      We have provided Cornerstone with pictures and descriptions of the issues from Island Renovations with their Warranty and would like them to honor their warranty.  Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

      The right corner of this window has a welding crack, this was verified by ******** window installer **** Eschlimanand another ******** installer back in 2024..I have had numerous issues with them leaking and the windows were compromised and they replaced two windows in 2024. The company that did my construction was ***** Villages Construction owner Mr. ****** ***** (owner)**************, his secretary *****, ************, they will not respond to text or phone calls, last text I received from ***** on 9 May is that she will be in the office Monday and she will contact me.she never called.I spoke to ****** on 7 May about the welding crack in the window and he stated he would check on the status. I have text and call both and neither will respond back.I have a work order that I got and **** said the crack is not my fault but a defect from ******** and that it has been approved and they were just waiting on info from D&D Villages Construction, Mr. ****** I called ***** ****** a few times at ************** to check on status of window and she has not responded.******** installer **** ********* said if I need any info to call her .I am dealing with a ******************** and a window company that doesnt want to help their customer..its not my fault the weld on this window cracked.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      I appreciate Cornerstone Building response but as I mention earlier D & D Villages Construction, owner Mr. ****** ***** or ***** his secretary will not respond to any of my phone calls or text messages.   As the history of the 11 windows I had installed shows that I have had problems before and  I believe this is the second time this window needs to be replaced.  In November your installer **** ********* and another installer replaced two windows that were compromised.   I believe this window leaked earlier and had to be replaced but I don't have the records ***** from D & D Villages Construction does and as mention she will not respond to any inquiry.   So what do I need to do since D & D will not respond can I hire another contractor to install the window once it is sent to me....or do I need to hire a ******** installer to be covered under  warranty.  I paid D & D over $130,000 to build an addition paid them on time and now they won't respond so I don't  want to deal with them again.   

      I believe this welding in this window was cracked when they installed it.....how does a stationary window welding get cracked....we never even go by this window as a plant is in front of it.....I wish you would grant an exception to policy and have your professional  install me a new window....I wish I had all the history I have had leaks etc...with these windows since D & D Villages Construction installed these window......but as mention since ***** won't respond....there nothing I can do....

      You are welcome to use any qualified contractor of your choice to install a new unit, and doing so will not affect your products warranty coverage. Please keep in mind that our warranty does not cover issues resulting from improper installation, so we recommend working with a reputable and experienced installer to ensure the best fit and functionality.

      I had a faulty window replaced on a new house build. 72" by 72". 3 weeks later with first warm spell the sealer started dripping down the glass. This should not happen at all. I am concerned about the integrity of the sealer used and installation in general. The company's answer is to sell me sealer with no labor to handle myself with absolutely no regard to the installer's performance. I would appreciate your help in this matter.

      I bought a new build home and the windows were installed were by Cornerstone Building Brands- Plygem. One of the windows has humidity build up and the windows have a warranty. I submitted pictures showing the defect and also was granted the claim in February 2025. Since then I have been trying to get my window replaced. I have had two technicians schedule an appointment and cancel last minute. I am constantly emailing the lead for follow-up and continue to get a run around. I attached the email correspondence. My concern is I am pregnant and the windows will create black mold. I have attempted to call the supervisor ***** on two occasions and have requested a call back with no response. I would like someone to honor my warranty and change the window out as soon as possible.

      I am rejecting this response because: your company has scheduled appointments on two occasions and on each occasion they have cancelled. I have gone through this process before and I have not seen any action on behalf of your company. What would rectify this would be coming out as soon as possible and following through with the appointment- and honoring the warrant that was provided to me as a customer. Again, at this point scheduling an appointment means nothing when your company fails to follow through and fails to have a supervisor return calls.

      Im writing in to complain about windows that were ordered AND PAID FOR!$47,000 the windows were delayed almost 4 mos. Then when they came in the screens on every window had gaps in every corner where they were mitered. 2-3 windows were damaged and had to be ***laced. The store, who I purchased through would not call back and the company *** would not return emails for 2 months.Finally the local *** came to see the damage and assured me they would be made right.The company *** came to see and boasted how these windows were the best of the best and how they stood behind their guarantee and how they were written up in one of the magazines as the best window out there . That should have sent warning bells there!!!Now 4 mos later one window was sent. The second set of screens were sent but the sunroom windows were not. They still had gaps in all corners and the 2 broken windows were not sent. I have receive promises to resolve these but as of now nothing!!! Just 2 emails of promises to escalate to the next level. My next step will be to contact an attorney . Which I plan to do. Im so tired of companies taking advantage of paying customers!! ********************************************* should be shut down!

      I am rejecting this response because: I have waited since November to get these new windows for our new house. I have been told over and over that these would be made right in a timely fashion. I am now appx 2 weeks til move in and still no appropriate resolution, nor realistic compensation for the time and effort spent on trying to connect with people who will give me a truthful answer .  No screen I have ever had  had a gap like this. Even our old window screens have no gap. I have sent pictures to the company and would post them here but your system will not accept what I have sent. Im tired of playing games and being treated like Im dont know what Im talking about . Fix the screens properly and get them to me and the windows that are faulty and broken. Ive spent over $47,000 on new windows and my husband and I should get a properly made
      Product in a timely matter. Not almost a year later!!

      Requested a warranty replacement for the TOP half of my window, back in October 2024. Paid $40 for shipping. After calling Cornerstone in December, we received the BOTTOM half of the window in January 2025. Contacted Cornerstone again in February to reorder, after installer told us wrong half was sent. Contacted them again in April after no response. Filed a complaint with BBB in May, and Cornerstone promptly sent a replacement which we received yesterday (5/13/25). Unfortunately, they sent the wrong half yet again. We are now in receipt of two bottom halves of windows after initiating this warranty claim seven months ago.

      1. In 1994, I had my windows replaced with ************************* windows, which had a lifetime warranty (repair or replace) as long as I owned my house. I filed claims several times over the years. EPI always came out to measure, made the new windows, and replaced the damaged ones at no cost to me, per the warranty.Last week, I called the company to discover that Cascade Windows had purchased EPI windows. Since I have one window that needs replacing, I called Cascade Windows which is part of Cornerstone Building Brands to replace the window. I was informed that they will make a new glass window but I will have to pay for the labor to install it. I told them my warranty says repair or replace. It does not say that I will have to pay labor.This morning, an employee of Cornerstone called and came to my house to measure that window (as well as 11 others that are damaged). I told him I wanted to know the cost of labor to replace those windows. He quoted me $800. He also said that Cornerstone changed the warranty guidelines and no longer will replace the windows at no cost to the ************ seems to me that this company should honor my warranty and should replace my windows at no cost to **** will upload a copy of my warranty from 1994.
