    I was signed with AmBetter Health of North Carolina under a fraudulent contract agreement by True Coverage of North Carolina Insurance Marketplace. I was told that I qualified for free insurance. That I didn't have to pay anything for insurance. He then stated that I do qualify for a tax credit and that I will be receiving the credit on a card that I can use to pay bills, buy food or medication. All this was a lie. I then find out that they was taking my tax credit and applying it to a Insurance premium with out my permission.

    I canceled automatic bill pay on September 26, 2023. Ambetter of ** went into my account and restarted automatic bill pay and stole $753.04 from me illegally on October 31, 2023 for November 1, 2023 bill. I observed the pending illegal payment and called them on October 31, 2023. They said they were sorry and would issue a refund. I called again on November 9th and they said it could take up to a total of 10 business days. Today is November 17, 2023 and they are saying that the representative I spoke to on October 31, 2023 made a mistake and didnt process the refund. I asked to speak with a manager and they have placed me on hold and hung up on me. I called back four different times and then I have to start this **************** again and keep explaining it all over again to each representative.

    Hopeless and worst Health Plan customer services. Their portal does not stand by what they display. In Network provider facility listed on their website is not always accepting Ambetter insurance, when contacted CS, I was told that I have to call and make sure that Ambetter Insurance is accepted by the provider!!!What is the point of reviewing the website under my profile, if they have not provided the correct information.This is the last time I'm enrolling this health Plan, never again.

    I have recently signed up for health insurance through this company. I was told I qualified for free healthcare and a subsidy. However, my insurance card says I have a $45 copay for regular doctors and the prices triples for specialists. Don't even get me started on prescription prices. This is the biggest insurance SCAM I have ever seen. Ambetter can keep their bs

    We signed up with ambetter and our service were terminated for no reason then while in the hospital they expedited to have it fixed now having complications with them paying in network for dialysis care no one is doing paperwork like they are supposed to be doing.. Had to find our own dialysis center even one in network they are denying to pay for without reasoning dragging their feet on everything we have spent three weeks in the hospital waiting on ambetter to do their job. Worst insurance ever no one seems to know how to do their job. Would not recommend this insurance and it should not be on the marketplace I guess you get what you pay for nothing

    Ambetter was the worst Insurance company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They consistently denied me care and medication, and when I finally got an ACTUAL Health Insurance Company through my new job and canceled with Ambetter, I came to find out that Ambetter has been STEALING from me for the last 10 MONTHS. They have been charging me without my knowledge or approval and I only just caught it. After I demanded a refund, they assured me it would be done within 10 business days. I called back more than 3 weeks later because I hadn't received anything and they DENY THAT THE ENCOUNTER EVEN HAPPENED. Every time I try to speak to a supervisor, they're "busy" or simply don't exist. No one I talk to speaks English with ANY amount of proficiency. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, REGARDLESS OF PRICE. THEY ARE THIEVES AND SCAMMERS.

    Insurance commissioner should look into why a company can tell you one thing and consistently do another. My dr filled out prior authorization after prior authorization. I made 8 phone calls to Ambetter told 8 different hoops to jump through. Was just told there was no record of any prior authorization on file for me at all. I asked for a phone number to speak to someone who would handle that and was told there was no one else to speak to. Was told on the phone call 2 days ago that notes would be put on my file that my prior authorization was looked at and would be approved but surprise!!! today there's no notes either. This insurance company doesn't even do the bare minimum to take care of its customers!!

    My 2023 plan requires that my pcp refer me to all specialists. Without a referral, Ambetter won't pay. My pcp retires March 1 and isn't in Ambetter's network anymore. I already have visits with specialists scheduled in February and March. I've been waiting months for these appointments. I selected a new pcp via Ambetter's website and scheduled an appointment. The first available new patient appoint is in late September. So, I've canceled the specialist appointments in February and March and am relying on prayer to hold me until I can get referrals in late September for appointments that will undoubtedly be in late 2023. Why didn't anyone at Ambetter consider the possibility that a few of us would encounter this situation, particularly given how many providers are leaving the profession?
    Customer service was no help at all. I spoke to three people, none of whom spoke much English and none of whom understood my problem. I could hear roosters crowing while on the line with the last person. They all refused to transfer me to their supervisor and two hung up on me. I've filed a complaint with the NC Insurance Commission and am scrambling to find money for my six-month check up with my cardiologist in March, which I'll be paying for out of pocket. Because I don't have and can't get a referral.
    I'm absolutely fed up.

    Ambetter has Horrible Customer Service !!! I applied Through Healthcare Market Place like every year! Ambetter Still has no Customer Service they transfer you or cut you off !!!! whatever comes first I have been trying for over a month to tell Ambetter what I signed up for Through Healthcare Market place is not what they are billing me for Ambetter has the wrong plan, Healthcare Market placed several 3 way calls to them with me 5x and they still can't seem to understand they don't have me sighed up for the correct plan, where has customer service gone??? like really are people even working these days this is heath insurance like why can't someone just talk to us and get something so simple worked out ! Ambetter you have me down for the wrong plan I signed up for!!!! ***** **
