Last Fall, I paid Fairway Green upfront ($700) for aeration and overseeding. The crew spent 15 mins joking around and then took off. Of course my grass did not take and there were patches al over. The crew came back out after a few weeks to try again however we got the same results. It took some weeks to realize our yard was not going to improve. **************** was dismal when trying to rectify, they said they can't give back the $. Office manager is rude and shouts at customers, when you do finally get a hold of them. Even the service staff were talking c*** about the office manager, red flag there. After reading ******************************** reviews it looks like this is very much a trend for them. I have attached photos of their "master work" to my reviews. Save your money, time and hardship - DO NOT hire these jokers.Business Response

Fairway Green's guarantee: you will be satisfied with the results and service provided by us.On October 4, 2023 Fairway Green did core aeration and seeding on our property for $$645. Entire areas of the lawn in semi-shade or deep shade that were treated produced no grass whatsoever. This occurred throughout the property and forced us to re-seed at our own expense of time, effort, and money. Their solution was to throw down more fertilizer on non-existent lawn.Business Response

Fairway Green apologizes for any confusion with expectations and results for seeding the lawn. All turf grass seeds require a particular amount of sun, oxygen, and water to germinate. Results will vary based on these conditions.
Below is a notification we issue to all customers concerning Fairway Greens seeding service. It clearly states that we cannot guarantee a perfect stand of grass. In addition, we were not informed that the customer had concerns about the seeding within three business days after completing the seeding.
Fairway Green will make an exception to company policy this time and issue a refund for the seeding work completed in 2022 as a good faith gesture.
Homeowners Instructions For *******
Now that your lawn is seeded you have two different methods of watering. The first method is to follow the watering instructions below if possible. Many people still have water restrictions imposed on them so this will be difficult if not impossible. Following this method will give you the fastest germination and growth in the shortest amount of time. The second method is to let natural moisture do the watering. This will come from morning dew and rain events. Using this method germination and growth will take much longer. It is not uncommon to have seed germinate and develop throughout the winter and very early spring. Usually the turf has developed enough to use pre-emergence safely in late February and early March. Over the years many people have followed this method and have had excellent stands of turf in the spring.
Begin watering immediately for the quickest results. Many people cannot water. If this is the case, be very patient, it will take much longer for seed to germinate. Check the lawn daily to ensure the soil stays moist. Depending on the amount of sunlight each area receives, you may need to water more than once every day. This is the single most important responsibility that you have to the success of your seeding. Light frequent watering is the best method. Do not allow the seed to swell and then dry out. Germination rate of the seed will decrease dramatically. After the new turf starts to grow continue to water. Young plants require more moisture than mature well-established plant with a larger root system.
If you desire to put wheat straw on bare sloped areas, it is important not to apply it too thick. This will prevent sunlight from reaching the soil and reducing germination. Most nurseries sell wheat straw along with ********** and Lowes.
Do not cut the new turf until the leaf blade reaches 4 tall. This will help drive the root system deeper and help the turf establish quicker. ******* machines are designed to place seed 3 apart. The rows will fill in as the turf matures.
When the leaves start to fall, remove them from the turf area as soon as possible. Blowing the leaves off is the best method of removal. If leaves remain on the new turf for more than three days it will kill the turf.
Weed control cannot be applied to the new turf until it is established and has been mowed at least three to four times.
The slit-seeder may have pulled up an excessive amount of thatch. Lightly rake or pick up the larger clumps and spread them out to a thinner layer.
Aeration seeding will leave clumps of dirt on the lawn. It is best to leave them in place. The clump of dirt and the hole in the soil are seeding beds. These will dissolve and disappear with time.
Please contact us within three days if you feel there is an issue with your seeding.
(this section is highlighted and shaded to draw attention to it).
Due to factors beyond our control (watering, soil and climatic conditions, adverse weather conditions, etc.) we cannot guarantee a perfect stand of turf. We guarantee that Fairway Green will do the seeding job properly. We use the highest quality seed available. After the job is complete success is totally in your hands! Watering is the key to successful results on your new seeding job. If you cannot water be patient. The seed will still germinate but will take much longer.Customer Answer

Fairway Green has failed to deliverthe services I've been paying them for since Fall or 2022. My lawn has never looked so bad as it does right now so I cancelled my service and asked for a refund several weeks ago. No one confirmed that my service had been cancelled and no one responded about my refund request.I was also offered a free aerationand seeding this fall which now they are not going to honor since I cancelled my service. Today I found this out when I called to get someone to spray all the weeds that are growing in my lawn.Business Response

Fairway Green has cancelled service at this property per customer request.
********************** will make an exception to Fairway Greens policy and seed the front and side yard this fall at no charge after customer has cancelled service.
Properties trying to grow turf in partial shade or less than ideal conditions, struggle more than properties with ideal turf growing conditions. Turf in partial shade generally green up after winter and mature slower. Adding additional fertilizer will not expedite green up in those conditions.
Fairway Green will send a document stating our intentions for the no charge fall seeding.
Fairway Green apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused.Customer Answer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However, I don't agree with the statements regarding shade and growing conditions because my lawn gets plenty of sun all day and I've never had issues with the lawn like this until working with Fairway green.

They stated they fertilized the lawn, billed me and nobody showed up when I was invoiced. The company admitted there mistake but continued to have poor lawn and weed control service. I discontinued service, after I paid all prior invoices in full (in addition on being on auto-draft), they still sent more invoices but did not service my lawn. . ************** Chapter 14: Criminal Laws makes it illegal to use fraud, a falsehood, or deceptive statement (representation) to obtain a thing of value. MR SAID HE REFUSES TO PAY. This app was done b4 he cancelled. I removed a charge from his other property and applied his remaining credit to this one and that left him with the current balance. He did not cxl until 11/11. He was not happy with the amount of crabgrass, ****** put in a PV and an RS was done on this property in July. He said on his call with ****** in July that he was sick of being told it would die in the fall. Also, he threatened to cxl then. I emailed him explaining I removed the most recent charge that was done after canceling and moved the credit to his other account. He still is upset.
