    Had a special for 2 people to come in & get a heart/lung scan for $150.Told us about an 8 year plan of $5690. Had 90 days to change mind. Excepted that plan without signing anything. Went in to get (I thought) my heart/lung scan but got the full body scan. When I came out I had to *************** form. Called back within 24 hours to cancel was told I needed to speak to *****. He called back, left message for me to wait until my scans came back. Called to cancel plan again & I was told I had the full body scan & owed $2495 & they would refund the difference from the $5690

    This business, Craft Body Scan, had a booth in the Expo building at the ******* ***** Fair in Tampa, February of 2022. The woman working their booth was telling fair attendees about their business and offering a special package and special priceing on scans as a promotion for the Fair. I believe the package was $79.00. I was told I would need to schedule a future appointment for the procedure with their new office, which I was told was near **** ***** in Tampa. I decided to go with this offer and the $79.00 fee was charged to my credit card. After the transaction was complete the exhibitor told me I would need to wait a month or two before scheduling because this was a new office and they hadn’t gotten all their new equipment in yet. I wasn’t keen on the late addendum to the deal but what was I to do then? I had already been charged. A few weeks later I saw the same booth and personnel at the Strawberry Festival in ***** **** (FL).
    After waiting several months I received an email stating that their office opening has taken longer than anticipated, but they would be opening soon. Since then, I have made several phone calls to Craft Body Scan and I continually receive the same excuse that their Tampa office will be opening in a couple months. The fellow that I talked to today said they would be opening in February. I wonder how many of these “deals” they sold from at least these two events. At this point I would be happy to get a refund! Whether this is a legitimate business or a scam proposing a phantom office, I don’t know.
    Their advertising gives an address of **** ***** **** *** * ***** **** ***** ,FL. The phone number I most recently called to inquire was ************ (********). This number is listed on their website.

    To whom it may concern,

    We have refunded ******'s purchase of the heart and lung scan. Two members of our management team have also reached out to speak with ****** and to confirm our Tampa location will be opening in the next few months. Due to supply chain issues, our Tampa location will be opening in March of 2023 as opposed to an earlier anticipated date. We communicate with those who have purchased a scan in Tampa via email with any updates we have regarding our opening.

    Our Raleigh location (which is where this complaint has been filed and does not apply) has been open for nearly two years.

    I have received the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
    I was contacted promptly by a representative of the company, and they agreed to refund my $79.00 (as requested). I have received a check for this amount and the case needs to be closed. Thank you both to Craft Body Scan and the BBB for resolving this issue.
