      I received excellent service from ***** and ****. I called on Monday and although Tuesday was Independence Day, they were assigned to come to my house. My hot water heater had failed and the unit itself was in bad shape. Thankfully a house fire wasn't started due to the condition and place of the water heater. My repair order has been sent in and I am waiting for an approval for a new water heater. The servicemen were really professional and I hope that it will be ***** and **** that will be coming back to replace my unit. They are very Professional and I will give them 5 stars for their service. I will definitely refer my friends and family to them.

      I received excellent service from Modern Plumbing, a company sent by *********** as part of my warranty coverage. ***, the technician who initially assessed the situation, and *****, who performed the installation, both did an outstanding job. They were skilled, punctual, and made the process smooth and hassle-free. As someone who values fairness, I make it a point to acknowledge exceptional service, and I am grateful to *********** and Modern Plumbing for their excellent work.       Be VERY cautious and get a second opinion if using these guys. In my opinion they are using a consumers lack of knowledge with plumbing for their own financial gain, which in my opinion (full disclosure as a non-licensed, DIYer) is predatory business practice. If I run out of space and there is a way to provide more information I am happy to do so. Again be VERY cautious using them. I had a home warranty claim I submitted for a leaking pipe and Modern Plumbing was assigned. They came out and assessed the issue. This is exactly as it is written on the form, "Leak coming from the fernco in crawl coming from kitchen sink. Has ABS and PVC mixed together and broken pipe need to submit to repipe all 2" ABS and PVC". A few days later I get an email with a quote from Modern Plumbing for $415 to do the "Piping mods- need to upgrade" which apparently is not covered and out of pocket to me. Modern Plumbing confirmed with home warranty that this was not a code requirement but the repair would not be done without the upgrade being done. Yes, I apparently don't have a choice and being forced to pay that in order to fix the leak. I called the supervisor at plumbers and she told me this was a $1,500 job and if I had an issue with cost I need to deal with home warranty. All I wanted was to understand the breakdown of the charges and couldn't even get that. I asked the home warranty to send me what Modern sent to them for the claim. Turns out the home warranty was being charged $367 to repair the leak and I was being charged $415 to "upgrade the pipe". Someone help me with the math here as it is not even close to $1,500. I called the home warranty canceled modern plumbing and asked for another plumber to come out as something didn't make sense as I needed a second opinion. The other plumber came out, assessed, fixed the pipe on the spot and job was complete. You can make your own conclusion about Modern Plumbing but if I were you I would stay away from there business practices.

      Horrible service. They completely lied on communication from my warranty company. They said my warranty company denied coverage after they never submitted the claim. Then threatened to place a lien on my home. I called for no hot water after they installed a new hot water heater last month in October. She claims that her service tech said I had hot water. Which I still do not. She placed an additional $30 fee for a lien on my bill, my warranty company agreed to pay $85 for travel. Then the owner claims that I threatened her service technicians, which is comical since I have cameras with voice recognition all throughout my house and she was going to sue me for writing a review and filing a complaint due to illegal billing practices and servicing. At this point I’m not even sure if the techs are licensed. The customer service is horrible. I wonder if the owner is going to take everyone to court that had the same issue? I’d hate to be the only one at the party.

      The list of negative reviews are extensive and I can add to the list of very poor business practices and customer dissatisfaction.
      Called Modern Plumbing to fix my toilet that was constantly running and their 2 service technicians arrived on October 26 to repair or replace the flapper to stop water from running. They looked that the toilet and couldn't figure out the problem. After flushing several times and seeing the water fill they decided it was the flapper and replaced it with a standard rubber one. Apparently this didn't work so they said it must be the flush valve, OK can you replace that ? Their answer was no, didn't have that on the truck it will be a special order. OK can you get me a price, so they called the office and came back to me with an estimate of $425 to replace the valves. They said it would take hours !
      I felt uncomfortable with these guys in my home alone and wound up paying them $210 ( $ 85 to come to my home and $125 for an hour of work ). The fact of the matter is they changed the flapper in less than 5 minutes, stood around watching and listening to the water for another 5 minutes and after payment left immediately without the toilet being repaired ( still running while I write this review ).
      I have since contacted a plumbing supply house about the valves and told they cost $26 each and they have them in stock. Therefore this was a complete rip off set up as they tried to gouge me for $425 ( I told them I could purchase a new toilet for that price ).
      Later that day I called the office and spoke with the owner, who was very nasty to me and refused to even speak about actually repairing my running toilet. The next day I messaged the company through their website to try to resolve the problem with no response. Therefore I am registering this complaint and will do again through the Attorney General office.
      Stay away from this company they are bad news and a consumer problem.

      I am flabbergasted at the extremely unprofessional and rude behavior of the office manager/owner. I don't appreciate being screamed at nor being gaslit because you fear taking any responsibility, especially financial responsibility. Her behavior is shameful.

      After reviewing your complaint, I feel the need to respond.
      When you called into our office on 10/20/22 , you were extremely upset, and very unprofessional and rude with not one but two of our employees before being directed to the owner of the company. We did do quite a bit of work for you on 07/27/22, we came back for a recall for you on 08/11/22, which actually was not a recall it was a different problem you were having. Your work was being done through your home warranty company, your home warranty company only covers a clog or stoppage for up to 15 days.
      Your warranty did not cover us to come back out on a recall that was more than 90 days since the work had been completed. We are truly sorry that you feel this way, however, it is your warranty company of choice and we contract from them. Best wishes in the future.

      Did a great job in the time they said they would. Very helpful and friendly. Really liked the fact that they kept there word and appointment times. Replaced my hot water heater,would recommend them. Thankyou.
