I had a procedure done at this facility on August 9, 2024. I was told my co-pay was $1000 which I paid. The insurance stated my co-pay is only $30. The insurance sent payment and was received and cashed by the company on September 4. I have called four or five times to inquire about a refund for the amount that I overpaid. No one will call me back or even give me an option of someone else to talk to. Billing says that they dont have any record of this information.Customer Answer

I had a Brain MRI in 2023 I set up a payment plan with Cardinal Points to cover the balance after the Ins paid - it was automatically taken out each month. On October 30 I called to confirm that the payment plan was complete and found out that I had a credit- Cardinal Points uses a 3rd party billing service and the one I was dealing with is called Pinnacle Health Services of ** so I inquired about it and was told that they would refund my original payment they had on file. On 11/13/2023 I called again and was told it was not processed because they needed to send a check and to allow **** days - on 11/30/2023 I called again and got the same story except this time was told that it was still waiting to be approved and that would be on Dec 4th and then a check would be sent. On 12/12 got the same story but was told they would escalate the matter and gave me ticket #****** - still nothing - 12/29/2023 - I asked to speak with a supervisor and her name was **** she said she was going to escalate it and that I would get a check within 10 days on 1/18/2024 I decided to contact someone at Cardinal Points and see if I can get some help. I spoke with ************************* who is the scheduling supervisor she was nice and told me she would send my info to their in-house contact *************************** in the ** office and would have her contact me. I never heard anything so I called ****** back on 1/22/2024 and left her a message did not hear back, called again on 1/24/204 and left ****** another message. No callback. Today 1/25/2024 I called and asked to speak with someone else in charge I was transferred to the director ***** and I left her a message. At this point, I am starting to think something is very very wrong with this practice and **************** This seems very shady and a big red flag!!Initial Complaint

I am requesting a partial refund of payment made by me to Cardinal Points Imaging through Pinnacle Health Services of North Carolina, LLC.I received a health care service at Cardinal Points Imaging on March 21, 2023.I received a denial of payment from my health insurer, Aetna/CVS. I judged this denial to be in error, and I contacted ***** on April 8th, May 8th, May 30th, May 31st and June 22nd to work through my concern. While working with Aetna, I provided payment to Cardinal Points Imaging, through their billing agency, Pinnacle Health Services, on June 12th, for the total amount billed of $599.52 by personal check. When I spoke to Aetna on June 22nd, they indicated that they had re-processed our claim and that we should expect a refund from Pinnacle Health Services of $317.41,On August 15th, I spoke to **** at Pinnacle Health Services, ************, because I hadn't received a refund. He indicated that the refund would be processed. On October 27th, I spoke to **** again because I hadn't received a refund. He indicated that ***** had paid Pinnacle Health Services on my behalf and retracted the payment on the same day, so I would receive no refund. I spoke to ***** at Aetna the same day.On November 3rd, ***** called back, indicated that ***** had made payment for the correct amount of $282.11 under their contract with Cardinal Points Imaging, and that Cardinal Points Imaging had overbilled me by $317.41. ***** added **************** of Pinnacle Health Services to our phone call. ****** stated that I was owed a refund of $317.41, and that I would receive payment in 4 to 6 weeks. It has now been ten weeks since the second time I was assured a refund of $317.41, and five months since first assurance of refund, and I have received nothing.Initial Complaint

My original appointment for lumbar spine *** was Nov 28, 22 when I had insurance. Someone in the office cancelled this appointment and put someone else in. When I arrived I found out I could not have the *** that day. They rescheduled me for Dec 16 at 8 am. I specifically asked what the charges would be because I would not have insurance in December. I was told $700. so I went ahead with the ***. I paid 200 down and would pay the remaining 500 later. Now they are billing me for ***** (the insurance rate). I have contacted them at least 4 times about the bill and they keep telling me they will adjust it and send me a new bill. NO NEW BILL YET...I am willing to pay the NON-INSURED rate but not the insured rate because I did not have insurance during December. Please help me resolve this. It is causing me extreme anxiety and grief.Thank You *************** ************ *******************
