  Salesman came to the door and after I told him my roof is 7 years old, he talks fast trying to say there’s all kinds of problems, definitely trying to scare me. He gives me a made up roof inspection report where he has checked almost every box and underlines a few words, adding “significant” to the word sagging, and signs of leaking, etc. There is literally nothing wrong with my roof! No leaks, no sagging, nothing curled or deformed. What an insult and terrible way to get money from people.

  After receiving a card, I had them do a roof inspection. The report was absolutely totally fabricated. I was told that there was a lot of mold in the attic, that about 10 feet of boards had to be totally replaced, and that there was absolutely no air circulation in the attic so unless I replace the roof immediately, the mold would continue. I believe they were trying to pray on my fear because I have a sick man living in that home and they prayed on my concern that the mold was not good for him. I have had three roofing companies and three mold remediation companies come out. All of them said the roof is in excellent condition and pointed out one or two minor issues that I could fix if I wanted to. None of the companies found, mold, or even mildew. if I needed a new roof they said it would run between seven and $10,000 for an architectural tile. 30 year guarantee. Southern National quoted $30,498. The salesman‘s name was Jim. if it was possible to give negative stars I would.

  This company had people come through our neighborhood and evaluate our roofs supposedly from the road and then leave cards on the door to call them but I have signs all over my property that say No Trespassing (in both English and Spanish) as well No Soliciting and yet they came onto my property to evaluate my roof. I know this because I have cameras and I was able to see them do this as well as the fact that there is no way that they would be able to stand at the road and look at my roof and see anything enough to may any recommendation as they did. As well as the fact that they were on camera speaking quite poorly about my house which I didn't appreciate. Then when I called to complain about it the man that I spoke to was incredibly condensing and rude and then tried to tell me that the No Trespassing signs didn't count because they weren't signed by the sheriff (not true, I not only double checked the law but called the sheriff's **** as well and they confirmed that was a lie). This company only thought that they could talk to me in such a fashion because I was a woman and that since I was on the phone he could outtalk me into a sale. What a joke. They are clearly have no morals and I wouldn't trust them to put up a gingerbread house much less fix a roof if they would talk to me the way they did as well as lie about things when they knew they were in the wrong to start with by coming on my property to start and then not just saying sorry and leaving it at that instead of making fun of me for being upset about it. Maybe this doesn't matter to you but it is the little things that matter to me and common courtesy and following rules and posted signs matter. If you can't do that then what else can't you follow?

  They tried to scare me into buying. A roof. They pulled out a lot of credentials that I am sure they pulled out of their butts.

  One of their techs left a card in my mailbox today that had checked off boxes for deformed edges, granule loss, staining, nail pops, raised/loose flashing and signs of leakage. Absolutely not! None of them. As it happens, I'm on my roof a lot to clean out the gutters AND to check for any issues with my 30 year roof that's in it's 7th year. Absolutely no evidence of anything called out on the inspection. I was in the construction business for years before retiring so I'm sure I'm qualified to make that assessment. This is, in my opinion, blatant scare tactics. The people in my neighborhood are mostly white collar and older, so I'm sure they manage to snag a few jobs. It's shameful, to say the least.

  Southern National roofing was wonderful to me. My project manager ********************* was with me every step of the way from inspection through installation. I even had the operations manager ***************** me and assist as well. The install crew was on time and cleaned up nicely after themselves.This was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend this company to anyone who wants to get a new roof and get it done the right way.
