My driver pulled in to a flying j truck stop in ********, there was some snow and ice by the entrance so the driver got stuck there. Driver went inside to the truck stop to ask them for a shovel to dig out the wheels. By the time the driver got back to the truck All Pro Towing already hooked up to the truck and demanded money from us. My driver didn't call them, we confirmed with the truck stop that they didn't call them, they also gave the driver a shovel to help. They said if we don't get $675 in ten minutes they will impound our truck and trailer. We called the police to file a report they went across the street to talk to them and they said some guy named **** called them out. **** does not work for me or for the truck stop **** seems to be some person that drives around for them during ************ and tells them when trucks get stuck and they come pull them out and demand money. I have never seen a towing company come out without getting approval from the person responsible for payment. Sometimes they ask for a credit card up front for payment, sometimes they make you fill out a form and sign that you are responsible for payment, or they must get authorization from the owner of the vehicle obviously to come out. Not this company they come out hook up to the vehicle and demand cash from the owner of a vehicle. These is pretty much criminal behavior.

    Business Response

Hello, my response is there was a sheriff vehicle behind him at the time he was blocking about 15 tractor trailers trying to get into the flying J and the sheriff insisted that we move him out of the way we moved him to the closest location and then charged him for the tow. I dont believe he was happy due to the sheriffs decision to move him immediately. once again Im sorry for the inconvenience of North to go to snow.

I am rejecting this response because: This was at a truck stop on private property the truck stop said it's not a problem and actually gave the driver a shovel to help him dig it out. If he was blocking anybody the truck stop would have to call a tow truck because it's hurting their business but they didn't. By the time he got back you towed the truck. Like I said normal business practice is to speak to the person responsible for payment especially when coming out to do any kind of job. But up north especially during winter you just tow people's property and hold it hostage for payment.
