Subject: Complaint Against ******** ***** – Request for Documentation Regarding Alleged Debt
Dear BBB Representative,
I am submitting this formal complaint regarding a matter with EZ Money, which is claiming that I owe a debt. Today, I was contacted and given a number to call. I contacted the company and requested documentation verifying the debt, including the name and contact information of the original creditor and a detailed breakdown of the charges being claimed.
Instead of responding to my request with the appropriate documentation, I was informed by the litigation company representing them that it is not their responsibility to supply this information. As a consumer, I understand I have the right under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) to receive proper verification of any debt being collected, and I believe my request was both reasonable and necessary.
I am seeking assistance in resolving this issue by requesting that ES Money or their representatives provide the following:
*The name and contact information of the original creditor
*A full itemization and explanation of the charges being claimed
*Written verification of the debt
I believe this lack of transparency and refusal to provide basic information is unfair and possibly in violation of consumer protection laws. I would appreciate the BBB’s assistance in facilitating a resolution and ensuring that my consumer rights are respected.

EZ Money contacted me regarding a debt. I asked the representative to submit me the following: original paperwork of the debt, my personal information, and other articles to prove that this was truly my debt. I also to the representative at a point in my life I had filed bankruptcy so, if it was within that time frame I could submit proper paperwork if that was truly my debt. The representative kept saying"so you are saying you will not pay this debt", I replied "I will need to investigate and have proper documentation first." The representative was rude and would not supply paperwork but was requesting my bank information without providing proper documentation. I simply asked for a debt validation letter/paperwork and could not be provided the information to my email and or address. Without supplying me with the proper documentation is a violation of illegal collection practices per FDCPA.

Ez corp/ easy money is calling me and stating my social via email, and threatening to take legal action against me for money supposedly owed that does not reflect on my credit report. They also claim It was 2015 and will not provide proof or an address of the company. I received a call from a company (********* ******* ******* claiming I had an outstanding debt of $1480 with EZ Money loans 9 years ago. These people had my ss#, birthdate and address. They've been contacting my family members. I was told that fraud charges were about to be filed unless I agree to a hardship repayment plan today. It seemed legit. I was transferred to their so called accounting department and the lady emailed me documents to sign for a repayment plan. It showed the original creditor but no other information about when this was supposed to have occurred. I signed the docs and gave my debit info. I quickly realized how dumb that was. I cancelled my debit card. I would like help prosecuting these people. I've never heard of EZ money loans and when I called the number provided, it was a completely different businessInitial Complaint

Received a letter today 11/4/24 stating that I owe them money for a lian in the amount of $815.00. Also threatening judicial action.

Received a letter from a greystone legal group stating that EZMONEY payday loan is trying to take legal action against me to collect an amount of $725.14. I never received any prior notices stating i owe any money to this company, this the first time i’m getting notified about this. I would say about over 10 years ago i would receive threatening calls that i need to pay money for a payday loan place right away or they will take legal action which caused me a lot of anxiety and stress and had to report it as well. They would not provide me with any additional information regarding this money i owe. And now i just received a letter from this company and i feel my personal information has been compromised. Getting harassed by a company that claims they are collecting on a debt for Eazy Money - a company I have NEVER done business with. I even searched all of my files (which I am great at keeping) and emails- Never done business with these ppl. One, the reps sound like underage foreigners and not legit- Would not verify any info, gave some inflated amount that I supposedly owe, over 2500, which is a lie. I have never borrowed any such amount from anyone ever! then asked for the dba name as EZmoney/Easy money is unfamiliar to me, still no answers. Threatened garnishment, I asked for written proof of debt which is the law, they hung up on me. Called back got another rep asked for same and she said you already spoke to someone and released call. When I called a third time, just rings and rings and conveniently the vm box is full lol. I do not owe them anything nor will they validate any supposed debt, which is required by law. EZMoney Loan Services
Transaction 10/2015. Payday loan received in Sioux Falls SD. They are illegality SD. Interest rate outrageous. Recently started harassing my mom and sons via phone and text even after I asked them to stop. Threatened me. Hung up on me several time when I tried to explain my side. phone calls from ****** mediation services saying I owe $ 819.99 to EZ Money Loan services. They say they have no info about what this is or when this happened but I can pay this amount and they will stop this company from serving me papers. They have all of my info ss#, drivers license # ,email and home address. they are also saying that this has gone to mult. collection agencies but I have never got any invoices about this. AS i kept trying to get more info they would hang up. They were actually getting mad because I kept asking so many questions.
