      I contacted the Steffens Law Office in September 2023 Looking to file a chapter 7 Bankruptcy. They put me on a payment plan monthly until I complete a total of $1,700 In November 2023 in the beginning of the Bankruptcy interview they advised me that I qualify for chapter 7 Bankruptcy. In November 2023 that was supposed to file my bankruptcy, they advised me that I'm not qualified for bankruptcy yet because I need to live in the state of Nebraska 2 years. I will be qualify until October 2024. I request a refund for the service that not was provided. They only refunded $500.00
      The Lawyer said that they will keep $1,200 for the work they done that was nothing

      We’re glad we got a chance to talk to ***** today, and we were
      able to reach a solution.  We apologize again
      to ***** for the miscommunication about when he could safely file his bankruptcy.  As we discussed, the safest time is when *****
      had lived in Nebraska for 2 full years. 
      While we could have filed before that time, if we had, the law from ******* old state would have applied and his property would have been at risk.  We’ll stay in contact with our client, and we
      look forward to finishing up ******* case when it’s safe to do so!
