I am submitting this complaint due to the abrupt closure of my local Milan Laser Hair Removal office and the lack of response from Milan’s corporate team.
I had an active service contract with Milan Laser when the office I attended unexpectedly closed. Since the closure, I have not been contacted with any information about rescheduling treatments, transferring my services to another location, or receiving a refund. I have made multiple attempts to reach out to Milan via phone and email, but I have received no response.
I paid in advance for services that I can no longer access through no fault of my own. The company has not fulfilled their obligation to provide the treatments I purchased, nor have they offered a reasonable alternative or compensation.
At this point, I am requesting that Milan Laser cancel my contract and issue a refund for the unused portion of my services. I also ask that they improve their customer service and communication protocols to ensure other clients are not left in similar situations.Business Response

******* Hamler became a client of Milan Laser Hair Removal on September 28, 2024, when they participated in a free consultation. At the conclusion of this consultation, ******* chose to purchase laser hair removal services, opting to finance the treatment through an external lender. As part of the purchase agreement, ******* signed and agreed that all sales are final and scheduled their first treatment.
On May 21, 2025, Milan Laser was notified that ******* had rejected a previous response to a complaint submitted. A member of our Client Services Team attempted to reach out via phone on May 22, 2025, but we were unable to connect and discuss their concerns directly.
In a prior conversation, we explained that in the event of a cancellation, clients are responsible for the cost of services already rendered. Upon further investigation, it was confirmed that the correct amount was charged for services provided, and a refund was processed for any services not yet rendered.

I had a consultation on May 12, 2025. I paid $2376.00 for life time laser hair removal on my underarms. I felt a pressured to sign the contracts and didn't have enough time to really think it through. I split the payment in cash and card but paid in full on the day of. My underarms don't have much hair at all so I don't think that the price I'm paying is worth it. I haven't had any sessions yet and I really want to be refunded.Business Response

On 3/26/25 i signed up for a membership with Milan Laser in Durham, NC in person after a consultation. On 3/28/25 i called requesting to cancel as i decided it was not a service i needed after some time to think. I spoke with the call center who advised me that a request for cancellation would be submitted to the manager and regional sales manager for this location. They stated they understood the reason for cancellation and had no problem with my need to cancel. I called on 4/2/25 and reached a representative at the call center who advised me that she was also submitting the request to the manager and regional sales manager. I called again on 4/7/25 and spoke with ****, the assistant manager of the Durham location, who advised me the same as the prior two calls and told me to be on the lookout for a call from Omaha Nebraska, and that i will be notified once it has processed. She said it may take a few weeks to resolve. I noted that my first payment would be due on 4/25/25 and wanted to ensure this could be handled before then. She wasn’t able to confirm, but stated i will get a refund for the payment when it comes out. After still not hearing back, i called again on 4/23/25 and an agent at the call center transferred me to the clinic, but to a provider and not the clinic manager. The provider advised she was unable to assist me and to call back. I called again on 5/2/25 and was told by the call center that again, another email would be sent to the manager and regional sales manager for cancellation. After still not hearing back, i called again on 5/8/25 and the call center connected me with **** at the clinic again after confirming the request to cancel was submitted a month prior. **** stated she didn’t know why i hadnt heard back, the request was never submitted, but she was able to. She said there is no timeline for resolution, if at all, and i “might” get a refund and “may” hear from the manager soon. This has now hit my credit because it wasn’t resolved timelyBusiness Response

I signed a contract with Milan Laser Hair Removal in Syracuse, NY, totaling approximately $11,000, financed through Synchrony Bank (Allegro Credit). I was told I would receive consistent and uninterrupted laser hair removal treatments for life. However, in under a year, Milan Laser canceled 4–5 of my scheduled appointments, often just 2–4 days in advance, making it extremely difficult for me to plan around them. The last two cancellations happened back-to-back (one in March and another in May), leaving me with no sessions at all for several months, despite continuing to make monthly payments on the loan.
The company has admitted fault in the past and offered a one-time $500 credit, but the problem continued. They repeatedly promised that cancellations would not happen again, but they did. These cancellations have impacted the effectiveness of my treatment. Each time I return after a long delay, the settings have to be reset, and I’ve been exposed to additional treatments that have caused skin sensitivity and frustration, with no lasting results.
I have records of my scheduled appointments and cancellations, and Milan Laser has security cameras and call recordings that confirm my visits and conversations. I believe they are in breach of contract and are not prioritizing paying customers since the money was paid upfront. I have requested a copy of my contract be resent to me, but I have not received it yet due to my email change.
I am requesting a refund of $10,000 for the services that were not delivered and for the significant disruption, stress, and poor treatment experience.Business Response

I have been a customer with Milan since September 26 of 2024 where I paid a sum of almost $9,000 in services I was to receive every five weeks. I received my 1st treatment 09/26. My second treatment wasn't received until 11/5 (6 weeks) 3rd treatment was correct. I then wasn't able to get into an appointment until the end of February. The procedure itself was honestly the most crucial pain I've ever felt. She blamed it on my period. But it was also almost 3 months between treatments. I had a treatment in April, my May appointment has now been cancelled and not rescheduled and have a June appointment. During this time a few of these appointments I have had have been cancelled and rescheduled. It's absured to book appointments, well in advance, and every time right before have them cancelled completely or rescheduled. It's bad business practice. I was also told this last cancel the general manager would be contacting me. That was on 05/01. I still have not heard from her. For spending 9k, you would think they would have a much better system. I do not want to be scheduled on a day that is anticipated to have coverage from some other area, I want it to have coverage from a person who works in the Fargo office. I said this after having to wait almost 3 months for an appointment. It's bad business. I just want to keep my appointments. I DO NOT WANT TO BE DOING THIS FOREVER!! They are cancelling prior to summer, prior to people starting to get a tan where they won't let me do the removal anyway due to tan skin. It's literally terrible business practice. It sucks for the customer. they don't follow up. I bet if I was to say I want to add in my legs they would have an available opening for me to come in so I can give them more money. I just want my appointment. I want them to take care of their customers. I want good customer service. and so far it's been terrible.Business Response

Less than a week ago, on April 30th, I consulted with Milan Laser about laser removal services.
The appointment was set for 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM so I arrived at 12:15 PM to allow time to fill out paperwork. I filled out the paperwork but wasn’t seen till 01:00 PM (30 minutes late) because the manager had a job interview that started at 12:20PM . She promised a very good discount to compensate me for my time so I waited.
As we were getting close to 01:30 PM (appointment end time), the manager was going over the risks associated with Laser Hair removal which worried me as they may be applicable to me but I was not 100 % sure at the time.
As we reached 1:30PM the manager started going over payment options; I asked how much the treatment would be but she wanted the financing application completed first. The website advertised 50% off treatment and she had promised an additional discount but the price provided at the end did not show what the original price was and how the math was done to reach the $4192.00 price.
At that point, it was 1:45pm, 15 mins over and I had to get my kids from school and felt pressured to sign paperwork so I could leave and do more research and talk to medical professionals the next day.
After doing more research on the risks mentioned during the consultation, I decided not proceed with the treatment and called Milan Laser to cancel. The Call center assured me that I was allowed to cancel at any time during the treatment and it wouldn’t be an issue. I contacted the manager who told me they couldn’t approve the cancellation but could offer me other options such as a discount or a pause on payment which won’t work I do not want to do laser treatment due to the risks mentioned during the consultation that are applicable to me.
The corporate office Call center is assuring me that I cancel but the local branch is saying otherwise.
Additionally, I notified Milan working the 3 business days stipulated in the WA State Cancellation Rights.Business Response

Milan has canceled my last four appointments and I have not been seen for more than 8 months. I live an hour away from the nearest center and have to take time off work to be able to go to appointments. I have tried to schedule my appointments on Saturdays and they have been canceled every time. My last appointment I scheduled for a Monday and it was also canceled. I cannot take time off work last minute and need to plan these appointments in advance. It has been frustrating to pay thousands of dollars and then not get the service I paid for.Business Response

On March 29th, I wrote an email to cancel my membership with Southington Ct Milan laser while letting them know the reason I am doing so is because I am moving out the country and it would not make sense to keep paying for services I am not receiving. Also the scheduling of appointments are too inconvenient taking weeks to months to get scheduled. After sending an email I received a response from an ***** * (Bilingual Client Coordinator) saying they will forward my message to the clinic manager and have yet to receive a response. In the meantime I am still being charged. If you are thinking about getting a membership with Milan Laser I would highly reconsider doing so.Business Response

Milan Laser is predatory and unable to fulfill its contractual obligations of service. We are a military family and agreed to the lifetime full body package because we were able to continue receiving treatment, per their salesperson, at our next station. There is a clinic located here at our station; however, I’ve only received 2 services since moving here in the past 10 months and not because I didn’t schedule them, but because they have not had a technician/nurse to do the treatment.
I have been out of receiving treatments for months after at least 3 repeated cancellations my the Milan Clinic. I had made a lot of progress and then we moved and the clinic in Jacksonville, NC has canceled on me last minute - with only a few days notice - at least 3 times. Every time they send the text that they can’t fulfill their service obligation they’ve asked me to reschedule 1-2 months out. Then the rescheduled appointment day and time comes around and they cancel and ask to reschedule again. At this point, all my growth is back and I’m going to have to start all over. It’s going to cost me every dime I’ve paid and owe to start over again at a reliable alternative clinic. And I’ll never fall for the scam of a package deal again, I’ll only ever pay after service is completed.
I want a full refund for the full body package I paid and financed with ********* and Milan Laser. They are unable to fulfill their service obligation. I’m going to have to restart treatment. I’ve lost all of this time and suffered through the discomfort of the procedures to have to start over because of the enormous gaps in treatment and last minute cancellations from their clinic.Business Response

This buisness locks you into a contract :billed every 4 weeks, service every 5 weeks.
I was told I'd need 10 treatments. That's 50 weeks give or take, depending on my schedule.
