On April 26 2025 I signed up for new phone service with Selectel wireless. It was two months of phone service for new customers for $40. Today is June 9th and they sent a text saying my phone will be shut off at midnight, 20 full days before the end of my two month phone service plan. When I called and spoke to a representative she said that I had used my data and my plan was ending. I told her I don't have a data plan I had a two month plan and wanted them to honor that contract. They refused. I will be left without a phone and am in a transitional situation where a phone is quite literally my lifeline.Initial Complaint

I placed an order by phone and spoke with a live representative at 2pm on 4/02/2025. I paid for the **** **** **** smartphone with accessories Promo. Which included a $10 fee for a new number. And two months free trial and auto pay. There was no order number given which was weird. The rep told me I would have to call back with my information to know get tracking number information.
I just today requested a full refund and asked to cancel my order. The online chat rep ***** said " unfortunately no refunds". Attached is screenshot of the online chat with *****.Initial Complaint

I have a phone with selectel and have been paying early so there will be a buffer between my paydays and I wont have to stress over shut off. Well someone changed my due date and now I will be shut off over the weekend> I called the 877 number and tried the chat but no one is helping to stop getting shut off before my due date. On 7/2/2024 I was advised to use “Sercurustech.net” to deposit money with site to speak with loved one. The input populated this company. I made a $49.98 deposit. I received email giving me another phone # the would ring on my actual phone # & was told I’d receive a verification email. That I never received. The $ cleared my bank today (7/5/2024). I called “Sercurustech” today & they are aware of people mistakenly depositing $ with the other company & suggested I call Selectel for a refund. I call my bank they advised me to call Selectel, which I did. The rep at Selectel repeatedly attempted to convince me to use/stay with their service. I declined repeatedly & was told a non refundable fee would be deducted from the refund, much to my dismay. I would like a complete Refund of my money & derogatory advisories placed on this company for consumers. I received an email saying again that this company plans to refund only $35.00 of the $49.98 that was paid them. Speaking to their rep on the phone I was told they would withhold $14.98. This is Not fair for people trying to communicate with loved one. They’re taking abusive advantage of consumers. Thank you.Initial Complaint

I signed up for a selectel wireless plan advertised through an email I received that included a mobile hotspot & unlimited data. Upon receiving the phone, I was told my phone wasn't compatible with the promised hotspot. Additionally, the advertised "unlimited data" was unusable after 10GB as per customer support. The phone itself does not work properly since the day I've received it . It constant drops calls, data issues, keyboard problems & power button failures. Along with I'm not even receiving very important text msgs at all . Verification text that I'm sure most people needs with their phone number for most sites and I've informed support since the first time contacting support & completing several troubleshooting task, I was offered no fix to the issue. Other than to send my phone back into them to evaluate for any damage to the phone and what seems like damage they are trying to say I've caused to the phone. I contacted them immediately with the issues I'm having and have no caused any issues to the phone . It works and looks as it did every since I opened the phone. Plus I need my phone. I paid selectel wireless for a phone and plan I am not receiving and I health issues . I have to have a properly working phone with the plan I paid for. I am not going without a phone through this ridiculous request of sending the phone in and waiting for them to evaluate the phone and then what ??? They have shown they are not a very honest company whom shows no respect for customer satisfaction . I have never received such bad customer care or such bad business from any business I've ever delt with in my life. I'm so angry and completely feel I've been scammed by this company and I'm not sure how they are a legitimate business .Initial Complaint

2 consecutive times in September 26and December 11 my ACP benefit were transferred without authorization and my knowledge from my internet company Breezeline .I contacted UCOC and was advised that ACP was transferred to Selectel wireless and was provided with TN ********** I never heard about this company and have no service with Selectel warless .I was trying to contact company to disenroll and stop slamming. 2 times i was on hold was on hold over an hour not being helped .virtual chat only requested the credit card number . I was never provide any information or proof of ACP eligibility to the Selectel wireless and have no idea how they got my benefit They were paid by the government without providing any service.Initial Complaint

I switched my service from **** ********** *** to a program that I pay $***** a month for. When I switched, They completely dropped my carrier, took my $***** and left me with zero Phone services. Now after calling them over 7 times and reaching out to *******, which is who Selectel Rents lines through, I STILL DO NOT HAVE ANY PHONE SERVICE AND NO-ONE CAN HELP ME. I AM EXTREMELY ANGRY FOR THIS AS WELL. WHERE IS MY SERVICE AND MY REFUND. SELECTEL DOES NOT HELP YOU AT ALL.
