    In March I purchased a box of Hornady Frontier 5.56 NATO Ammo 55gr HPM 150 Rounds (*** ******) from *******************. There is something very wrong with this ammo. It causes my bolt to get stuck in the forward position and when I took apart the bolt to clean it a lot of debris came out of the BCG. After researching this issue online I found that other people are having the same issue and the debris are blown primers.

    I have 80 unused rounds and will like Hornady to take them back and replace them with the same ammo.

    I contacted Hornady and was told that I must provide the LOT NUMBER and the suspect cases and that the ammo still be packaged in the original packaging. These were 150 rounds that came in a single box that I transferred to an airtight container and discarded the box. I didn’t keep the used cases since at that time it didn’t occur to me. Therefore, Hornady refuses to replace the defective ammo. I have 80 rounds left that are of no use to me and is causing the rifle to malfunction. I would like Hornady to take this defective ammo back and replace them with non-defective ammo. At least, replace the 80 and forget the 70 I already used.

    The customer doesn't have our packaging, he can't tell us what lot number is supposedly suspect, and he can't show us any fired cartridge cases he says were defective and now he wants us to send him new ammo. He can't even document that it actually is our ammunition and not reloads or repackaging by a third party.

    Since he can't do any of that his recourse now is to send us the allegedly defective ammunition (he'll have to get proper packaging) for us to test to either confirm his results (we have no records of this being a universal or regular problem) or demonstrate no issue with the ammo returned, but again, we don't know what lot this is so can't check our production test records.

    Failing that there is nothing we will do.

    I was contacted by the business (Hornady Manufacturing) yesterday, June 9, and the business agreed to take the ammo back, test it, and replace it. Therefore, you can close the complaint.

    Purchased bullets which cost $620.97. They were unable to fulfill my order and agreed to send me a refund check which never happened. Note they did not offer to credit the credit card used to pay for the transaction. When contacted by phone the state that the order number is not theirs.

    This isn't our order number, this customer is not in our system, We don't sell bullets to individual consumers  like this.

    He got scammed.

    There is a web site that uses our logos and imitates our website. We turn them in for fraud every time we find them but probably this is where he ordered the product..

    He should try back through his credit card carrier.

    I HAVE EMAILED HORNADY MULTIPLE TIMES AND NOONE HAS GOTTEN BACK TOO ME. THIS IS THE 2ND POWDER CHARGER TOO HAVE AN ISSUE IN LESS THAN A MONTH. I HAVE ALREADY TOLD THEM I AM GOING TOO ANOTHER PRODUCT BUT I WANT THIS ONE COVERED. SINCE THEY SAY THEY HAVE A LIFETIME WARRANTY. I would not recommend their powder chargers too anyone. They seem too have many issues.

    After looking into what happened with this guy, I think there was some confusion on both parties. We had two different Techs helping this guy, Gary, and Ben. We tried to send him an email tag to get his unit back, but he didn’t receive. We finally got a unit sent out the same day we received his back. 

    Looks like we shipped the replacement on 10/16 and shows it was delivered on 10/20. Tracking # ****************** with ***. Tracking states that it was left with customer at the door.

    *********** ********* I have a 2nd unit that is having an issue and they still have not corrected the problem yet.  The 1st unit I got and is all set. My other one that I sent a video of it not spinning is not working. The other unit was leaking gun powder.
