      I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the poor service and defective installation I recently experienced at Air Serv, from Thursday, November 5, 2024, to November 12, 2024. I engaged with Air Serv to replace the furnace at **** ****** ***, Omaha, Nebraska 68110. On Friday, December 20, 2024, Air Serv drew checks in the amounts of $1,200 and $2,544.93 totaling to $3,744.93.

      Unfortunately, the product(s) and services mentioned above did not perform according to the standards promised, and the service was inadequate. On or around December 31, 2024, Metropolitan Utilities District (“M.U.D.”) inspected the furnace installed at **** ****** ***. and it was determined that Air Serv’s installation of the furnace failed to pass inspection, due to:

      1) not enough combustion air going to an upstairs room;
      2) use of an improper vent cap (non-UL approved);
      3) AC line touching the vent connector and;
      4) rusted out vent stack.

      M.U.D. informed Air Serv of the defects mentioned above no later than Friday, January 10, 2025. However, Air Serv failed to take any action. From January 18, 2025, to approximately February 16, 2025, our calls to Air Serv went generally unanswered, with no substantive remediation.

      On February 18-19, 2025, I arranged for Air Serv to send maintenance and installation workers to address the defects stated above. Around March 18, 2025, Air Serv’s workers arrived and, allegedly, fixed defects 1 through 3 (subject to a forthcoming inspection). However, they could not resolve defect 4 because they did not have the necessary tools.

      Air Serv’s representatives stated they would return later to fix defect 4; however, as of the date of this letter, no further action has been taken and communications have gone unanswered.

      To resolve this issue, I am requesting either a refund of $3,744.93 or the completion of the job, which includes remedying item four, resulting in a forthcoming successful passing of the M.U.D. inspection.
