  I'm very sorry to have to give a poor review. However, I won't be supporting this org any longer. I kept the Tree catalogue in hopes of ordering more trees when I saw what the first order looked like. After this experience, I tossed it in the trash. You took my money in February, with a promise of 12 trees. I think my estimated shipping was between March to April. Any subsequent e-mail kept pushing the date back. I finally got shipping notification late May. Didn't receive my trees until June. Some of the pines were drooping and dropping needles (still are in fact). For now it is cool outside but next week high 90s temperatures are coming and any of the trees that are alive have a dismal chance. Some of the flowering trees look like dead sticks, and I'm pretty sure they are dead sticks. Some are alive and growing. You can keep brow beating your donors by saying "we put DATES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE!" but it isn't convincing anyone. You are very, very consistent in being months late from the original date range, so just give that late date range to begin with. I don't know how you expect planters to be successful shipping bare root trees in the middle of June. I can only imagine what customers in the south experience. There's no way a bare root tree has a chance in 100 degree weather, shade or not.

  So I still have not received the tree/plant order from the first time I donated to you, over two years ago. I have donated to your organization twice. This is ridiculous. You only ship twice a year, both times around the winter and spring breaks when I need to travel to see my grandchildren. You told me this last time that I called that my order would be going out on November 6, and yet I have had NO notification about my order being shipped. And I leave in two weeks to go to my daughter’s in New York for Christmas. Why is it so hard for you to honor your promise? My plants and trees are going to be delivered while I am gone for two months, and die while I am gone. I will never donate to your organization again. AND, I called you and asked for someone to call me back, and in the middle of our conversation, I was disconnected. This was after she told me my shipping window was between today (November 28) and December 1 because of weather or some other delays. How convenient that it was set for today when I called you to complain that it wasn’t shipped out on November 6 as promised. The plants won’t get here in time for me to plant them before I leave. Pretty sure she just hung up on me. So frustrated!

  Thank you for your membership and for your support of the
  Arbor Day Foundation.
  
  Your package of 5 Flowering trees, 5 Norway Spruce, and 2 Pee Gee Hydrangeas
  was originally intended to ship from our nursery as early as 11/1/2023.
  Unfortunately, we were unable to harvest our Pee Gee Hydrangea plants for a
  couple of weeks in early November 2023 due to drought conditions at our nursery.
  The drought conditions caused the soil to be very hard, and also prevented us
  from harvesting the Pee Gee Hydrangeas without damaging the roots or causing
  the roots to become completely detached from the Pee Gee plants. So, we had to
  wait a couple of weeks longer than anticipated for rainfall at our nursery to
  loosen the soil and to loosen the roots enough to safely harvest and then
  package the Pee Gee Hydrangeas. This delay in harvesting and packaging then caused
  a large number of our membership tree packages to be delayed from their
  originally intended shipment dates.
  
  On 11/27/2023 (one day before you contacted our Member
  Services department by phone), our shipping department scheduled your package
  to begin the shipping process. And once our shipping department begins the
  shipping process, we are not able to stop the process. Our membership tree
  packages are shipped via USPS Marketing Mail (also known as bulk rate mail)
  meaning that once they are shipped from our nursery, it can take USPS 10-14
  business days to arrive. Therefore, your package is scheduled to get delivered
  via USPS sometime between 12/8/2023 to 12/12/2023.
  
  Next steps: we will be issuing you a full refund for the amount of $20.00 (for
  your original membership donation that we received from you in the mail).
  
  In addition to the full refund, if you are interested in still receiving a
  package of 5 Flowering trees, 5 Norway Spruce, and 2 Pee Gee Hydrangeas from us
  during our upcoming spring 2024 shipping season, we would be happy to send you
  a free package and expedite the package to you at no additional charge to you.
  
  Note: many of our members and supporters (especially
  those who travel and / or who need their packages shipped earlier or later than
  our normal shipping timeframes) opt to pay an additional fee of $25.00 plus
  applicable taxes to have their membership tree packages shipped in an expedited
  manner – more quickly than USPS Marketing Mail.
  
  If you would still like us to send you a free
  package of 5 Flowering trees, 5 Norway Spruce, and 2 Pee Gee Hydrangeas during
  our upcoming spring 2024 shipping season, please let us know. And if so, please
  let us know what specific date (sometime between 4/15/2024 to 6/14/2024) you
  would like your package to get shipped. And again, this one specific free package
  will get shipped in an expedited manner (UPS Ground, or USPS Priority, or FedEx
  Home Delivery) at no additional cost to you.

  Made a purchase, Order *********, of 15 trees in September and per their website and the individual ship times of each and every tree, these trees were supposed to ship by 11/27. I even followed up in November, via e-mail to their customer service, to make sure that these would ship by 11/27 with their customer service assuring me they would ship by 11/27. After being assured by MANY means, it is now 11/28 and my trees have not shipped.

  According to our records, your trees are currently scheduled to ship on
  12/6/2023. After that, they are estimated to arrive sometime between 12/9/2023 to
  12/12/2023.
  
  We appreciate the order that you placed online on 9/16/2023 for several trees
  and shrubs. Our estimated ship dates for your trees was originally intended to
  be between 11/8/2023 to 11/27/2023. Sometimes our estimated ship dates change due to weather
  or other factors (other factors including but not limited to inventory delays, inability
  to harvest and / or package trees or shrubs because of dry ground or overly wet
  ground, staffing shortages at our nursery, and more). Our online Nursery Trees Shipping
  Schedule (https://shop.arborday.org/nursery-shipping)
  includes the message “DATES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE”. In addition, within our
  email replies from our Member Services representatives to you on 10/26/2023 and on 11/28/2023, part of our email replies
  included the statement “Please note that shipping dates are subject to change
  due to weather or other factors.”
  
  As often as possible, we strive to ship our trees and shrubs according to our original
  intended estimated ship dates. We are sorry that we were not able to ship your
  trees on or before 11/27/2023, but instead plan to ship them on 12/6/2023.
