Concerning ethical, moral, communication and quality issues.

I used them for restoration after a garage fire and would never recommend them to anyone under any circumstances.

Service after the commitment is absolutely awful, Mike does a good job selling the company but clearly does not care about the client after the contract is signed as he does not even have the decency to return a call personally. All of the items in my garage were discarded before I signed off, so I left a message for Mike and he had my first project manager contact me instead. From there I was asked to back date that particular agreement and sign off on the disposal.

After that I noticed that many of my items that were supposed to be properly discarded were being used by the crew which was entertaining. From there I was pressured by the PM to let him dispose of my ammo after I was told that they "will not touch" any ammo because of liability issues, it seemed as if the PM wanted it for his self. My garage (3) steps were redone 3 times, one time they had a step that was 12" tall and told me it was up to code, materials used were much lower in quality, they tried to sell me on an interior door that was not the type of door we agreed upon after it was already installed, the list literally goes on and on. I felt like I was being mislead or in a bait-n-switch situation around every corner.

This job started in August and it is now December. Currently I have two different color garage doors, one was painted indoors prior to installation and the other is unpainted and installed. The large one does not stay closed, opens on its own. Wire connections hanging without wire caps, no anchors used for interior wall modules, exterior keypads not even installed.

I sent 11 pages and counting, complete with text messages and photos to my lawyer so that should indicate how long I could go on about the joys of working with this company.

Do yourself a favor and just don't hire them for any reason.

I had a house fire in 2019. This is a competent company but far from perfect. We worked with a partner so we received better care. All I want to say is take your own photos because they don't inventory like they advertise. And anything that you don't want broken, lost or stolen remove from your home and store yourself. We didn't get back a lot of unique decor items and jewelry and hair accessories. They hire temps to do a lot of different aspects of the work, so you don't know who has access to your home and belongings. So anything that you really don't want to lose take care of yourself. After the pack in of our belongings we found out that the boxes were infested with cockroaches from the warehouse. Also don't sign that final payment over until the final punch list is completed to your satisfaction, they don't do much after that last check. As a side note don't let them use MDF moldings in your bathrooms as they're made of cardboard and shouldn't be exposed to moisture they just fall apart. Be wise and stop by the site often and keep an eye on what's being done with your money and assert yourself.

Absolutely horrible experience. Had a house fire Dec 23rd and signed a contract for inventory of contents of Jan 2nd. Was quoted 7-10 to complete content inventory.
House had heavy water and smoke damage.
PAUL DAVIS took on over 300 new claims the 2nd week in Jan due to the cold snap. We allowed them to remove all clothing so they could inventory it in the shop due to the cold weather. However less than 20% of the items were inventoried. They kept pushing our job back trying to complete the jobs taken after they took ours. I was told by a supervisor they were primarily a water restoration company and had always been and a fire was not considered an emergency. I'm guessing she thought the fire was put out with dirt. Our house was soaked.
It was over a month before they finished with the items stil in the home. All the laundry had to be reinventoried. We asked for all our items back and in going through it found over $100 in cash. Items were in rooms that had no water damage were thrown in with the wet items for over a month and were distroyed due to mold and mildew.
When I asked for a copy for the invoice I was told I would not get a copy until after the insurance company had approved it. I hired them not the insurance company. Sounds fishy...
I didn't receive a final list until Feb 16th. I emailed the girl handling our job for an update on Feb 19th and again on Feb 26th still no response. I called my adjustor and as of Feb 23rd the insurance company had not received anything.
What a joke this is a horribly company.

These guys were totally unprofessional from the start. Once they said the house was dry they showed up to do demo with no tools. Every time they came, they said things need tore out. They still never tore out the vinyl floor that they told me 3 times that need tour out. I had to do it personally. They only had equipment in my house 5 days total. They billed me for 6 days. After the third day they came and shut off seventy five percent of the equipment. Told me everything was dry except for one small area. Came back the next day and somehow everything became wet again. Apparently their meters weren't working. They put an extractor in my basement and ran the hose upstairs. Not sure if anybody at paul davis knows that water does not run uphill. I had to drain their machine over the weekend, so it didn't flood my basement more. I called to talk to the mitigation manager and she was quite rude. She argued with me about charging me only five days bill states in black and white six days. Then she said isn't insurance paying for this? Apparently if insurance is involved it gives them the right to falsify document. Please people if something goes wrong do not call this hack of a company. They will make your nightmare a bigger nightmare. I would also like to add that the manager refused to call me back. I waited 2 weeks to finally call again to get ahold of her.

Apparently these contractors don't know any sort of decency. We had a pipe burst in December and the guys dragged their feet for 4-5 months. You'd think time was the only problem but no. In the process of "fixing" damages, they created more issues because they didn't bother covering anything or cleaning up after themselves. That includes my bathroom which now looks like a toddler pissed all over it and had shit tossed in it because I guess "not the area of work, not our problem". The damages included a fridge I could no longer use due to them unplugging it a second time which led to mold, personal belongings torn to shreds on walls that weren't supposed to be touched at all, scratches over my TV, my mattress being splattered with mud and cut in a few places, closet doors bent out, and dust everywhere in other areas of the house that didn't get cleaned up until they were made to.
