      I worked with them three times to try to lower the cost of my emergency room visit. They cancelled the process the first two times, and after the third attempt I was denied. After this, I wanted to verify I was being charged the correct amount, but instead of checking this, it was sent to collection without notification.

      I normally do not write reviews, but I needed to in this situation to warn potential patients. This is the worse care I have ever received from a healthcare provider. I wish I were able to leave negative stars.
      From the beginning, they knew that my procedure would be self- pay and my insurance would not pay for the surgery. They had me do medical test after medical test hoping to get my insurance pay for the surgery. Once they exhausted what my insurance would pay (the additional medical test) and my insurance gave the final and last decision that they would not pay for the procedure, I was told by NE Medicine team that I could not self -pay any longer. I pushed back and they said they would go to the doctor and review with him and would let me know ASAP. That was over 10 weeks ago, and I still have not heard back.
      This is worst service I have ever received. It takes them weeks sometimes months to respond to questions. Thank God my medical issues are not life threatening otherwise I would dead by now waiting on a response from them.
      NE Med Bariatrics represents everything that is wrong with the healthcare system. All they cared about is getting money from my insurance provider and once they could no longer get money from them, they dropped me.
      I worked with their team over a year, doing everything thing asked from additional medical tests, changing my diet, and doing all the pre-op prep education with the dietician and psychologist. They wasted a year of my time when I could have found another provider who was not going to swindle me and my insurance company.
