Oriental Trading is using a company called Fun Rewards Plus to commit Fraud by billing customers CCs for $14.95 when I never EVER clicked that I was interested in purchasing such a worthless plan.

We noticed charges from Oriental Trading first for 15.02 per month and later for 14.95 per month starting in late 2023 and going through 6/2025. We did not sign up for this subscription. These started after a purchase was made on orientaltrading.com. There is no way to cancel, no record of these charges on the site, but a reference to something called funrewardsplus where I do not have an account. My husband pointed this out and we need unexpected charges refunded.Business Response

I am writing to formally dispute unauthorized charges made to my accounts by "OTC Brands Inc" (************ **), operating under the name Oriental Trading Company. I have identified recurring monthly charges of $14.95 beginning in October 2023 on one credit card, and additional charges beginning March 2025 on a separate card. I have no recollection of making any purchase from Oriental Trading using this card , nor did I knowingly or willingly enroll in any form of membership or subscription program.
No receipts, email confirmations, or disclosures were ever provided to indicate the existence of an ongoing subscription. I did not consent to recurring charges, and at no point was I presented with or agreed to terms and conditions for any form of rewards or membership service. Based on this information and numerous similar complaints posted online, I have reason to believe this constitutes a pattern of deceptive and unauthorized billing practices.
Upon contacting customer service, I was informed that only six months of charges could be refunded. This response is wholly inadequate and unacceptable. I have been charged for approximately two years on one card and four months on another—without authorization. I hereby demand a full and immediate refund of all unauthorized charges.

I found it odd that I was recieving some random mail from fun plus rewards. I did not think anything of it until I decided to open one up. It was a check for some cashback. I did some digging and it was something to do with Oriental Trading Company. After doing some more digging, it turns out that this "rewards" program was charging me 15.77 a month. I called the number on the check for customer service and the person kept on telling me the best that she could do was a six month refund. She told me that they sent emails out but I checked the inbox and found nothing. The customer service agent explicitly told me that it was from the exact email that sent the cancellation email (The first thing I did was cancel it). Still could not find anything. I had no idea where the charges were coming out of she told me that it was unter "OTC" on my bill. Starting on July of 24 it was under a 1800 number. No way of knowing that this was even happening fromy my credit card bill. We order stuff from Oritental Trading Company all the time so I did not even know there was a monthly charge on my account and they even changed that to something we can't even recognize. Deception at so many levels. My wife remembers clicking "get cash back" but did not receive any emails related to the thing nor were there any explcit disclaimers. No I agree to the terms or anything. She clicked it to check out what it was and we without our knowledge started getting charged 15.77 a month. No emails no bills. If I did not open up the mail I would have kept on getting charged.Business Response
