While at CHI St. Elizabeth in Lincoln NE I had a radiology appointment. This was done at CHI St. Elizabeth. There was no indication or forewarning that they had a specific consultant group that was going to review my chart and bill me seperately from what insurance charged me. If that was the case shouldn't it be posted that I'd be receiving mail from a third party being billed again for a service that was rendered and done not at their place of business?

Medical care seems scammy at times and this seems to be a scammy way to get additional funds.

This company only sends one bill and then immediately sends it off to collections. No second notice or touching base via other contact measures. It is a bad practice and irresponsible service. I will never use them again.

I was paying my accounts last year and all of a sudden I stopped receiving a bill. I thought I paid them off being that the bills stopped and I have to use the bill to see the website and my account number to login on the bill pay site. This was last year June. In Nov or Dec of last year I received a letter about collection from clear recovery. After speaking to the rude lady and screenshot all my payments that I made. She said she will get back with me after the client checks my payments. I emailed her a couple of times from waiting. Finally she said the client said those payments went to a different account. I ended up finding out it was Radiology Consultants and I called. The customer rep was very helpful and found the accounts. One was paid off and the one in question had two payments. I questioned How did this go in collections without me getting a phone call, email, a late notice etc.? She checked and said the only thing was a bill was sent out in June. She said she was going to send all the info we discussed and see if they will take it off of collections and to call back in 2-3 weeks. called back today and now all of a sudden they supposed to have found where I was sent calls, emails and bills. This is total bs and lies. I never received them. It just went straight to collections. This is very unfair to people that pay their bills and who are trying to keep a good credit score. They have 18 reviews and all 18 are complaining about the same collection process

I received a call from a collection agency that was hired by radiology consultants requesting that I pay a bill that I was completely unaware of. I watch my billing statements like a hawk for the one and only health system that I utilize for my healthcare needs. All of the care that I have ever received at said health system has always been billed through their one and only comprehensive online portal billing system. Turns out, I received an Xray that had been sent to and interpreted by radiology consultants and was not informed that there would be separate billing.
Needless to say, I was surprised to receive this call. The collection agency representative was not kind and immediately accusatory and demanding. Not kind in answering my questions. I asked why I was not notified through other methods before my account was transferred to collections. I had not received a single phone call, email, voicemail, letter.
The representative informed me that they only bill through one method: paper statements by mail. Well guess what. I am a student and I have moved 3 times in the last year. This is negligent, disrespectful, and poor customer service. Not the way to run a business.
