The event occurred on 7/26/22 at my home. A technician from Rymes was came to my home to shut off my gas. I was having flooring installed in my kitchen and they required that the gas was shut off. When the Rymes technician was putting my range back in place he shoved it hard against the granite counter. I heard a loud crack. He told me it just hit the cabinet knob, which wasn't possible from the placement of the knob and stove; additionally, the knob would not make a loud crack. Upon close examination I saw the gouge in my granite counter from where the technician shoved my range into it. After calling and emailing Rymes about the incident they sent Oren out to see the damage. Oren indicated that he would start a claim and to let him know if I am able to contact a granite contractor for replacement, costs, etc. My kitchen granite counter had only been installed a few months prior, so this was upsetting, but needed to be replaced. I spent a considerable amount of time contacting granite fabricators and was finally able to locate one who was able to obtain the same granite that is in my kitchen. The company, put together an estimate, of $ 5,506.69, which I have sent 3 times to Oren, Jess, and Zach all from Rymes. I have not received a response to date from Oren, Jess, or Zach in regards to the estimate. The granite company requires a 50% deposit to begin work and I need Rymes to respond and acknowledge receipt of the estimate. I need Rymes to provide the funds to have this work complete and my granite counters restored.

I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because: While I agree that Oren contacted me by phone as stated by Ms C******, the complaint has not been resolved because my granite counter is damaged, and I have not received funds to replace it.  It was a month ago when I was told a claim would be processed, though it does not appear that any action took place and that is why I asked BBB for help.

      Sincerely,

      Complaint: 17760301

I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because:

      To date I
have not received funds by Rymes to have repairs completed on my granite
countertop that was damaged by a technician from Rymes.  I received an email yesterday, 9/7/22 from
Oren H**** from Rymes, indicating he contacted a granite company and told them
to contact me when they received a check.
This is my home and my granite counter.
If I am contracting with this granite company, then I will need the funds
because I will be securing and signing a contract with them for the repair to
my home caused by the Ryme technician and seeing it through until completion.  This needs to be rectified please in order to complete this and move
      forward.

I will need the funds from the claim for the damage done by the Rymes technician.  The total cost for the granite fabrication, installation, and removal, is $5,506.69.     I requested this via phone and emails on several occasions.  The quote is only valid for 30 days, which is nearly up.  I initially sent contact with Oren H**** and other Rymes personnel about this in July right after the damage happened.

      Sincerely,

I was making payments to pay down an existing debt of just under a $1000 due to finances through the pandemic while working at a hotel. then we got a 4 monts worth of bills totaling about 8 to $900 because they didn't bill anybody for about 4 months through the Winter so when I thought my bill was under a 1000 it then went up to 1900 I've been trying to set up a payment plan with no resolve any because of the immediate interest because they said we still only had 30 days to pay 4 months, they offered to take off $364 if I paid in full which is not possible I was in the hospital for a week at the end of April with a 6 figure hospital bill to now deal with as well. They said they would take that into account and let me know and I have not been able to get anybody to answer or respond I just tried to call again and I got transferred immediately to a voicemail again. I've sent emails for 5 weeks I have 5 weeks worth of emails trying to get someone to set up a payment plan and adjust the interest due to their error in not billing for multiple months with no resolve.

I was told a manager would reach out to me about payments this week because they were on vacation last week and there has been no communication again, they just say they will contact but never do, it's been 3 months of trying to get someone to listen to me.

      Thank you for your help
