I had called Whirpool which is the brand of my refrigerator I bought this year and was delivered on 10 March this year. I had called Whirpool to send a technician from Anything Appliance to check my refrigerator because when a fan was replaced which I told them that there were no humming noise before the fan was replaced therefore something must have happened during the replacement of that fan. The technician came on August 25 but he only opened the refrigerator door back and forth and the bottom freezer and said simply the humming noise is normal and refrigerator makes noise now which I know it is not because it didn't do that before and my friends and neighbors' refrigerator doesn't do that noise. That technician didn't bother to pulled the refrigerator or nothing else. I wasn't told there would be a fee before the appointment and was told to sign a paper which the technician said it was only to show that he came for the appointment which I never had to sign before. Also why pay if I bought an extended warranty of 3 years if my refrigerator doesn't work properly or makes noise like right noise. Just because THAT technician decided to say it is normal which some people say to avoid working longer because they have to go to other houses for service. The other technician I had before was more knowledgeable that the last one but the previous one could come because of an emergency and I was scheduled for 22 August between 1200 and 2:00 pm but was called that afternoon saying the technician couldn't come at all after waiting all afternoon which is unprofessional especially if someone would take the afternoon off to be at home that is why I was rescheduled on 25 August and ended up with someone different. I don't know if it could be the compressor or something else. A couple days after, while I was driving, a man from Anything Appliance called me to find out about the technician's visit and I told him the technician didn't do nothing and there is still a humming noise.

    Appliance Response:
On 7/21/2022, Anything Appliance replaced the freezer
evaporator fan (part number W11224591). On completion of the repair, the
technician noted the customer stating “the noise was gone.”  On 8/1/2022, Whirlpool sent another dispatch
over for this customer.  The service
description was “Customer states after fan was replaced refrig is now making
noises when opening the fridge door Buzzing Noise – Refrigerator.”  When booking the appointment for 8/25, the
customer’s description indicated that when the customer opens the door, the fan
comes on loud. Upon arrival on 8/25, the technician evaluated all components
and noted the fan was running as designed and the noises were normal operation.
The tech noted no problem found. Whirlpool has a limited one-year warranty and
    is not a full warranty.
*See attached documentation for the Whirlpool Limited One
    Year Warranty.

On 9/7/2022, upon attempt to collect payment for the visit,
the customer states she was not paying and would be contacting Whirlpool and
    BBB.

    On 9/9/2022 Contacted
the customer.  The customer agreed that the
complaint to BBB was the result of not having been informed of the service
charge in the event there was no problem found. The customer booked an
appointment through Whirlpool initially and the customers warranty summary
states "Entitlement Policy Statement: All products that have been returned
by a customer to the dealer, Whirlpool will ONLY pay functional repairs on
stock. Items excluded from warranty: Cosmetic Damage - Including scratches,
dents, chips, or damage to the finish"
As a result of the appliance operating normal, this service call does
not fall within the Whirlpool Limited Warranty.
    *See
    attachment from Whirlpool.
    Anything
Appliance offered a concession to customer for the service call on 8/25/2022
where technician could not find any problem with refrigerator.  Customer is satisfied with this resolution.

    attached updated invoice.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 17930975, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Jim the owner of Anything Appliance called me and said he will waived the fee after the technician came to my house which was very nice of him. For some reason now my refrigerator make less of a buzzing noise probably because it takes time after installing a new fan. I will continue getting my service with Anything Appliance.

    Sincerely,
