They came to my house to give me an estimate on repairring my washing machine.. The quote was for $86.00 for the part and approx $5.00 in taxes. They want to charge me $299.00 in labor for what the technician says will take ***** minutes. When asked they told me this was a normal labor charge. I have already given them $195.00 (required) to get any work done when the part arrives. This seems to be EXTREMELY high charge for the labor being done

    Dear *****,

I am writing to address the one-star review you submitted to the Better Business Bureau regarding the cost of repairing your washing machine. I understand your frustration and want to clarify how we arrived at the price.

Our highly trained technicians are experts in appliance repair. When providing an estimate for a repair, it serves as an approximate indication of the time required. However, unanticipated issues may arise during the repair process, potentially prolonging the duration.

Our pricing structure comprises two components: a diagnostic fee and a repair fee. The diagnostic fee compensates for the time and expertise required to identify the issue with your appliance. The repair fee encompasses the cost of the replacement part and the labor involved in its installation.

The total repair cost amounts to $360, which includes the part ($86), applicable taxes ($5), and labor ($269) (This includes a 10% discount on labor.  Considering your previously paid deposit of $195, the remaining balance due upon completion is $165.97.  Please note that consistent with our model you were not charged a diagnostic fee in addition to the repair.

While the labor cost may appear substantial, our prices align with those of other reputable appliance repair companies in the region. Additionally, we offer a warranty for all our repairs, ensuring your peace of mind.

I hope this explanation provides clarity and alleviates any concerns you may have.  If you require further assistance or have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Sincerely,

    James
