  We have worked with Brian L****** on both the construction of our home in 2013 and a substantial addition to it completed in 2022. He and his team (William as lead) are consummate professionals, trustworthy and skilled. They listened to our wishes and drew up a plan that hit all our our must haves and added their special touches. The quality of the craftsmanship is high and all of our guests are wowed by their work. They do not cut corners and are always receptive to feedback and followup if we wanted changes. The design process was clear and we were able to see visuals of the space before starting construction. I never felt like we were being cheated or taken advantage of during the process which has been something we have felt with other contractors. ALC feels like familiar friends at this stage having had so many projects completed together. We highly recommend them and will work with them again in the future should we have contractor needs.

  ALC Design, did a full home renovation for us. Brian was very communicative throughout the entire project and handled himself with integrity and honesty. Anyone building during Covid can understand the difficulties that it presents, with delays, higher prices, and more. Though the whole process was frustrating due to the times that we are in, ALC communicated well and their workmanship was excellent. We are so excited to be in our new home!

  We have used ALC for two, large scale renovation projects at our home. The first project included adding a third garage bay (moving our septic tank), mudroom, laundry room, closets/storage space and an office reno. We found the experience to be easy and positive all around. Our second project began 3 yrs later and consisted of an addition to our kitchen and master suite. The timing of this one coincided with Covid shortages and we had a few snags with materials. At the same time we lost our project manager to an injury. ALC quickly came up with solutions for the materials we couldn’t get/and or presented us with temporary options that made us all happy while we waited. They also sent us a new PM and got him up to speed so he could see our project to completion. These issues were unforeseen, but we were extremely happy with how they were handled and overall love our home. We found ALC to

  Bottom line up front: ALC does great work, was easy to work with, and any extra cost over others is well worth it.
  ALC did a two car garage addition for us. Having never worked with a contractor before, working with Brian and his team was easy and painless. Brian worked with us to explore all of our options to find out what we really needed and did not try to oversell us and we ended up with a garage that is perfect for our needs. I feel that ALC's approach of understanding what the client needs instead of simply building what they ask for left us with a better end product.
  ALC's focus on client satisfaction is also superb. There were a few finishing details that I thought were in our contract but were not (painting and staining some modifications to the house itself). When I expressed concern about this, Brian pointed out that it wasn't in the contract but offered to do it anyway at no extra cost.
  Although I can't speak to the longevity for another couple of decades, the workmanship is excellent. There are no obvious imperfections or cut corners, and the garage looks like it was always a part of the house. During construction, Phil, the lead carpenter, was very good at making sure the job got done correctly and was always able to answer any concerns I may have had.
  ALC handled the variance process for us without any hassle on our part. They also handled an unexpected sinkhole on the property, filling it in within the day so it didn't affect the schedule.
  The project finished nearly on schedule - only a couple of weeks late because of a supply issue.
  The only downside may have been the cost (although I can't say for certain how much cheaper some other contractors really would have been). Since construction is expensive anyway I feel that spending a little extra to have it done right saves money and headache in the future.

  ALC did a full renovation of a bathroom and adjacent laundry room, moving a wall to accommodate the extra space we needed in the laundry room. The process was all very clearly laid out, which I appreciated. Changes to the original quote were fair based on the decisions and finishes that we made, and everything was clearly explained. The best part of working with ALC was our main point of contact and the person doing most of the work – Mark. He was so wonderful to work with. He was incredibly respectful of our time and our home, leaving everything clean and usable when he wasn't here. He reached out to get our opinion on things and confirmed the direction before he began various parts of the project. Plus, his workmanship was PERFECTION. You'd be hard-pressed to walk into either of these rooms and find anything even a tiny bit off. His attention to detail was meticulous. Very talented, very nice guy.

  I had previously seen work within our family from ALC Design's team for an in-law addition they put onto an existing property. Needless to say, when the time came for a project in my own home, I knew that the team's work was of excellent quality, and that the timeliness and overall satisfaction would be beyond reproach. I called Brian and his team in to replace a leaking shower, and from start to finish working with both Brian and Will I had no hesitation, no concerns, and absolutely no issues with the quality of the finished product. Will came in and quickly assessed the project's needs, and was beyond flexible working around my schedule regarding when I could be available for him to come in and work. The project was completed quickly, efficiently, and beautifully and I am beyond thrilled with the final result. I cannot recommend ALC Design and their team enough!

  ALC did a remodel of our kitchen, two bathrooms, and replaced all of the windows and doors this summer and fall. From the initial estimate, through the site visits, and all of the work being done everything was done in a professional and courteous manner. Having the binder with all of the project details called out was a great resource, and a good way to show others what we were having done. Brian's team was very skilled and kept on top of the other subcontractors work to ensure we received a quality product. Kris, Lenny, Austin, and the rest of the team were great about answering questions and went above and beyond a couple of times to fix something when they noticed it created a safety issue. We would definitely recommend ALC and would readily use them again when we need more work done.

  ALC did a complete redesign of our kitchen, family room and master bath 3 years ago. We were so pleased with the finished product that we had them come back this summer for a garage and main floor bathroom renovation. From start to finish, Brian and his team were professional, respectful and transparent every step of the way. When we ran into issues that none of us anticipated, they worked with us to find solutions that met our needs. I would highly recommend ALC and wouldn’t hesitate to call on them again for our next project.

  We are very pleased with the work ALC has done for us. It was quite a ride… the project was to have a two bed/one bath/a living room on the second floor… there were so many unpredictable and unknown factors came in between and yes, it got delayed a couple of months more than what estimated for… Even with all those struggles, most of which are not in their hand, Mark, our project manager, and team pulled it through. It’s a package deal, right from design to finish the corner of the last trim. They are very professional In their approach and in execution.
  Mark has been our family for the last nine months and we, especially our dogs (Bucky and Rhodey) are already started missing you :)
