Clear Choice (CC) replaced my roof following *********** damage. The contract specified 46 squares, 4 sheets of plywood, 6 ft underlayment & weather lock for $46,000. The contract had $3k error benefiting ***** removed the old roofing & installed new March *****, 2025. The crew did not show up with any plywood. They did not place 6ft underlayment, weather lock until I objected. It was soon apparent that I was working with an untrustworthy contractor. The crew damaged my deck by dragging the grill without unlocking its wheels. ** ******, project manager, said he'd try to fix it but made no such attempt. He simply loaded all the extra shingles, underlayment & other materials then left.On 3/19, the entire ridge vent was left open overnight to the elements; it was a *****, rainy night resulting in my attic insulation getting wet. CC returned mid-morning 3/20. ** offered to deduct $60 which was totally unacceptable. **** ******, Sales Mgr, deducted $500 due to ridge vent distress, provided insurance certificates, etc. We agreed on a $4,000 hold back while I had an independent person evaluate the attic insulation. On 4/4, I emailed **** an update following the evaluation then released $2,500 in good faith then questioned the deck damage plus the deceptively overcharged # of squares. My insurance company states my roof is *****, not 46 squares, therefore I asked for concessions. On 4/9, I shared that email with ******, project coordinator, then followed up again with both **** and ****** on 4/11. No ************ is my firm belief that CC is an untrustworthy contractor that engages in deceptive practices. Had I not double checked the contract or oversaw their work they would've collected an extra $3k, charged me for plywood, dishonored the 6ft underlayment contract. They have not compensated me for the deck damages nor adjusted the egregious overstated # of squares. CC must pay for deck damages plus deduct 12.7% of the $46k; 46 vs. ***** squares.

We had them install a shower for us in ************************************************************* the shower. There work was definitely not worth the 10k they had us pay. They ruined my shower! There were several calls made to try and get someone out to us to rectify the issue. Finally this past Oct I was finally able to get someone on the phone and they had made an appointment to come out in December. My husband took the day off without pay just for them to not show! This is now a potential health hazard to my family as the mold is getting worse. I have emailed and called clear choice with no response! I would like this fixed! I do not accept the business's response as a resolution to my complaint because: I feel that their response is lack of responsibility for them, owning up to the fact that there was shotty work done! I can assure anybody that my house is cleaned daily  (bathroom included) on my hands and knees scrubbing the bathroom/ shower area! This is not due to lack of poor hygiene or lack of cleaning. The mold is behind the grout! This is due to inadequate work And a rush job! I will not accept some excuse like that! I have also attached a video to prove that the caulking isnt even attached to the shower itself leaving a gap!

I have windows that have bad seals, and leak air that can be felt coming in. This was confirmed by the contractor they had install them. I also have a door that was improperly replaced which also has gaps through which air continuously comes in. When this was pointed out to the installers, the man in charge put a 2 strip of weather stripping tape onto the door frame to fix it. The replacement of the door included the removal of a panel door. When this was done, the installers neither wrapped the house with weatherproofing nor did they put any insulation in the exterior wall. The framing on the exterior and interior of both the windows and the door is remarkably sub par, and I do not feel that we got what we believed we were paying for.

Hello!Clear Choice Home Improvements installed 6 doors for me in December 2023. There are numerous problems with the installation: several of the doors don't close properly, Clear Choice installed what the workers called "fake doorknobs" and promised that the correct ones were on order (no sign of these), there is a 2 x 2-inch gap at the top of one of the screen doors which the installers told me is "supposed to be there," at least one of the doors is installed upside down, and when I stand inside my house I can see daylight coming through spaces between and under the new doors. I have notified Clear Choice by email and phone that we need to discuss these problems, and they will not respond. I paid $22,173 for the doors, installed.Picture #1 is of the gap in the screen door--I have put foam in it because it is winter. They say the gap is "supposed to be there." A hole in a screen door?!Picture #2 shows one door that does not close properly--others do not close properly either. Picture #3 shows the original contract. I paid a deposit of $6,859 on June 22, 2024. Picture #4 shows the final/change invoice when I paid the balance due of $13,314 and an additional $2,000 for reframing and structural framing on12/13/23. Total cost: $22,173. I hope you can help me. Clear Choice has performed poorly and will not discuss my complaints. (It was also difficult to get their attention between June and November of 2023 after I paid the deposit and was waiting for them to schedule the work.) I have more pictures and am happy to discuss any of these issues. The work site was left with nails sticking out of my deck at strange angles, and loose nails and cigarette butts all over the ground, but these complaints are secondary to getting Clear Choice to fix all of the problems with the doors. Thank you!*************************

We put our trust in Clear Choice Home Improvements to replace our siding and install new construction windows in our home. We gave them a $10K deposit. We were told a project manager would get in touch with us for the final scope of work. The only time we heard from the company was a week later when they tried to take $25K more out of our account for materials. We didn’t allow them to take more money because they didn’t even know what materials to order. We told them they already had our deposit. They made an appointment for a project manager to come out for the siding & another appointment for someone to come out and measure the windows. They never showed up for the siding appointment. We called about the NO SHOW but had to leave a message. No one called us back. They did call the next week to reschedule the window measurement appointment but never addressed the NO SHOW appointment. On the contract the siding we were told we would get was a different siding listed and the finance company was a different finance company that we had applied to. We were only able to determine this after we received the contract in an email. We were never shown the actual contract the night of the signing. We cancelled our contract and requested our deposit back. We were told that we would not get our deposit back. We pointed out that the contract had some discrepancies. We were told that we forfeited our deposit when we cancelled the contract. It does not say anywhere in the contract that we would lose our deposit. We were told that it was a mistake on our part in reference to the contract and appointments. The appointment for the siding was tentative and it was never a set appointment. We were made to feel we were in the wrong. We were told by the salesman that the owner takes pride in his company and gives all his customers 100% guarantee. This is not the case. We are very disappointed in the way we have been treated. All we are asking for is our deposit back at this time.

They sent a guy to give me an estimate. I wrote a check for $2,652 as a down payment. I haven't heard a word from anyone at the company.

On page 3 of the contract they stipulate that someone will contact me in 10-12 business days, which hasn't happened either.

I signed the contract on July 10th 2023. Today is August 18th 2023. Winter is coming and I still don't know if I am going to have gutters or not.

I am also $2,652 out of pocket with nothing to show for it.

A salesperson came to our home on July 10. 2023, telling us that we had two insect infestations and showed us photos of serious rot and faulty siding. He talked us into signing a contract for new siding and we gave him a check for $3252.00 as a down payment. The next day, we realized that he had lied about the infestations, corroborated by our exterminator, and we confirmed that the photos he showed us were not of our house. We immediately sent a certified mail letter of rescission, (stating that we canceled our contract and we requested our check or a refund within 10 business days,) which was postmarked less than 24 hours from our contract signing. The letter was received and signed for on July 12, 2023. Nonetheless, the business cashed our check on July 17, 2023. The check cleared our bank on July 18, 2023. I spoke with the sales manager on July 20, 2023 by telephone and he assured me that a refund check would be cut and mailed that same day. I contacted the office again on July 27, 2023 and was told again that the refund check would be cut and mailed that day. Ten business days has passed. I just spoke with another receptionist who said that she would check with the head accountant in the morning and call me back to state whether or not the refund check has been written. Here's our letter which I could not download

On March 20 I gave Clean choice a check for $ 2,300.00 for a deposit for a new roof.
The new roof was a total of $ 25,000. I send green sky a check for the first payment for the new roof. They came on April 18 to install the roof. Alexis the project manager said that he could not install the new roof because a lot of the raffles were broken. I called them on April 18 to get some kind of response from them. On April 25 nate called me and said that he could do the roof for $ 14,000. And that was the last time I heard from them. So I was hoping that you could cancel the job and get my deposit back. Thank you.

On 8/16/2022 ****** and ***** ********* contracted with Clear Choice Home Improvements, Manchester, NH. The contract was to provide 20 feet of gutters on a shed, plus 42 feet on an ell side of our home. We have a $1500.00 deposit on the $3800.00 contract. On 9/28/2022 the workmen arrived and installed the 20 feet of plain gutter (with no cover) on our shed. When my husband went out to talk with them they informed him they could not do the 42 feet on the house because the type of roofing on the house did not allow for them to install the gutter. They said they would talk to the people at Clear Choice to see what could be done. I called them 3or4 times to see where we were going with a resolution. I have had no resolution from them. I also said if there was no solution then I would like to discuss a partial refund of our deposit. I have not been able to speak to anyone but the person answering the phone. I would like to resolve this issue by receiving a fair return of our deposit.

I hired Clear Choice Home Improvement to install a new roof. During the sales process, the salesman discovered black mold in our attic. At this time I was hesitant to move forward with the roofing project because of this. Doug assured me that replacing 8 peices of plywood would resolve my issue. I asked what if other issues were identified during the project. I was again assured that I would be notified and that steps would be taken to resolve. I moved forward with the roofing project, when it was finished I took a look in the attic and saw that the visible boards still had black mold on them. I told Ty, our project manager and he took a look and said that they didn't replace enough boards. He was asking that i sign off on the loan. He said, just call ******** for an estimate and send the bill to Clear CHoice (the bill for remediation of the attic was 8k), I did this in May and have been getting the run around from Clear Choice and their solution is not honor their promise to pay for the mold removal in the attic, but to take 1k of the price of the roof, which was 22K. This is an unnacceptable solution to me and I feel that I have been lied to and decieved.

When considering complaint information, please take into account the company's size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm's responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints.

BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period, except for customer reviews. Customer reviews posted prior to July 5, 2024, will no longer be published when they reach three years from their submission date. Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this company, please let them know that you checked their record with BBB.

As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
