On July 17, 2023 I made a $1000 deposit for garage roof repairs. The repairs include replacing plywood and shingles in a rear corner of the garage, and properly reinstalling the gutters.

The problem: I never heard back from the company despite repeated calls to their office and to the representative that met with me. They never came out to do the work, and they have ignored all of my attempts to reach them.

My experience with Adam Vaillancourt in November of 2022. The job was straightforward and consisted of removing and installing new shingles, new fascia, new soffits and cutting in a bathroom vent. The total cost was $18,948.00.
I checked the work the day after and the roof looked decent, but there were a bunch of issues with the soffits and fascia boards. The “pork chops” were cut poorly and large gaps were just filled with copious amounts of caulk to try to hide the appearance. The soffits were wavy and not tight against the siding of the house leaving large visible gaps and open areas for wind driven rain to enter and damage my home. That day I messaged Juan who was kind of standoffish and just messaged me to “contact customer service” and that he did not have time to come back to look at it.
I contacted customer service, but it took weeks to get someone to contact me back. Finally Paul got in contact with me and came to check out the issues. Paul found the pork chops to be cut poorly and issues with the soffits but could not do anything as the weather was too cold and there would be a risk of damaging the siding. He recommended waiting until warmer weather to fix the issues. I agreed with this and was under the assumption all would be taken care of soon. I was wrong again.
Paul reached back out (after I emailed customer service to see when he was coming, and to see when the spring cleaning would happen) and he came out mid-April to fix the porkchops. He adjusted one side of the soffit but nothing else. The porkchops now look decent but the soffits remained an issue, so I called him back out to come check them out. I met with him on 4/25 to go over my concerns which consisted of wavy soffits, soffits that can be pushed up into the roof (not secure), gaps along the siding as the soffit does not sit flush, and really expressed my concern with rain and moisture getting between my siding from these gaps. All were met with “there’s nothing else we can do”. I got every excuse in the book thrown at me… “we are just roofers”, “the soffits are just vinyl”, “they will float up with wind”, “they were installed in the wintertime” etc. He did not seem interested in coming up with a solution to actually fix the problem. I floated the idea of putting a wood strip along the rafters, so they actually had something to nail the soffit too, but he did not seem too interested. I mentioned to Paul that this was not the quality I would expect for such an expensive job, and his only reply was: yeah, we are not the cheapest”. Paul said he would discuss with “the higher ups” and let me know, but I am not holding out hope.
I also mentioned to Paul that I have not had my spring cleaning and still finding nails and screws everywhere. The spring cleaning was supposed to happen as the roofing crew could not get everything off the ground due to it being frozen with snow, but this supposed cleanup never happened either. I have also given up on this and started doing it myself, but not what I would expect for a very expensive job.

Scott from Adam Vaillancourt reached out to come take a peek at the issues. He agreed that they did not look correct and quickly offered a solution. Eric was the lead on the repair job and went above and beyond to fix the outstanding issues.

Thank you Scott, Eric, and crew for your hard work!

I had Adam Vaillancourt roofing come out to do some ventilation on a small attic room that we had just paid to have mold removed from. They advised poor venting which I totally agreed. The were installing Ridge venting and softly vents. On 10\04\2022 the company was supposed to be at my house between mid morning and early afternoon, in which they didn't show up at my house until 4:30pm. I had to call the company to find out when they were coming which was hours till I got a call telling me they would be there at 3:30pm. The project manager told us she wasn't sure why she was there and what the job was. We advised her the work we where having done. We were charged for 24 soffit vents and 25 ft of ridgevent but they only did 12 soffit vents. On top of that the work they did was awful. The vents were cut wrong. The vents were supposed to be in between every other support beam. It was cut sloppy, uneven and the holes were not even the same size as the vents or the area between the support beams. I left a review that I was unhappy about. One of the contracts called me and came out to inspect. He agreed it didn't look good and done wrong. He advised he would come back with the company and fix it. They came installed a 6th vent outside and try to cut the area open more to match the vents. They put darker screens to hide what it looked like. I reviewed the work after, all though they put the darker screens so you couldn't really see the awful cut job, the vent they added to the front of my entrance of the house is different then the others. This is our main entryway, which you can see the difference in the vent. The contractor told me that was the best they could do. I advised I was over charged and I should be refunded some money. He told me 100.00 was what he could do because they didn't charge per vent but feet. I reviewed the receipt with how the price and that is not at all how its done. Asked for a manager and still no call back.
