1 starPlease learn from my mistakes and do not purchase a car here.I purchased my car here less than 2 years ago, I brought it to the service department, and despite the car driving absolutely fine, I was told I need a new engine to the tune of $10,450.When I called, the service manager, in a smug almost laughing tone goes I assume you got your estimate and proceeded to tell me its a result of lack of maintence, and that prompto oil changes are bad for your engine, etc,I talk to the sales manager, ******, the first thing he says is my service manager told me the new engine is needed from years and years lack of maintenance I told him thats funny because I bought the car less than 2 years ago. They offered me $1,500 for my car, which I owe over $20k on. when I asked about another Nissan pathfinder they had on their website, he pulled it up, said oh, that price isnt right told me to hit refresh, and increased the price over $3,000 right in front of my eyes. I told him that was shady and not great business practice, and he said someone fat fingered that priceWhen I purchased the car, they make you sit for a long time and pressure you into leaving positive reviews, which is why their ******** reviews are so high, and you cant leave one unless invited, so please do not trust those reviews, they are not true. Additionally, they increase the list price if you do not finance with Nissan. I would not recommend anyone do business here.Review fromJessica N

2 starsMy parents recently bought a *** ****** from Somersworth Nissan. First of all, they traveled from about an hour away to test drive the car. My mother is practically immobile due to a degenerative illness and they wanted to test this car because it was listed with all of the amenities she would need to be able to get in and out and be comfortable. The let them test drive it and my parents decided it would be a good car for them. When they went inside to talk about buying it they were told it was already sold! Why then did you allow them to test drive it? That was the first warning. They walked out. Later that day or maybe the next day they got a call saying that the other deal fell through and that the ****** was available. Which to me sounds like the dealership was trying to get them to buy something else but when they walked they realized they couldn't con my parents. My dad decided that the car was worth them going back for so he went back to make the deal which was a process. A few things needed to be replaced so it took over a week for them to get the car. When they went to sign paperwork and pick it up I went with them. It took two hours or more to get them to be 'ready' to help my dad. When they were finally ready to drive away my dad notice that the gas tank was empty. He went inside and asked for a gas card to fill it up. The sales person had to go with them to get gas on the company card. When they got to the gas station the gas door wouldn't open. They had to go all the way back so that a tech could figure it out. It turns out that it is broken and needs a replacement part. Less than two weeks later the whole electrical system stopped working, the battery died, and my dad ended up bringing it to a *** *********** At the *** dealership they guy fixed the electrical issue and told my dad to bring the bill to Somersworth! The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because the very young sales person was really nice, hopefully he gets out of there fast!Review fromPaul C

****,
As previously stated we would be willing to contribute to the repair of your motor. Our contribution was rejected by you. The vehicle you purchased was months outside the warranty period and we were still willing to contribute to your repair. **** was given an option for engine and transmission warranty coverage which he did declined. The dealership has offered to cover a portion of the repair which **** did not accept.

Brought my car in for my free inspection. They found a few things wrong. Fixed all but one issue the oil pan that leaks. But two other mechanics could not find it leaking. Brought car back a second time for inspection. Now they said my brake line has a leak which according to another mechanic there is no leak and guess what the oil pan they said that leaked which I didn't fix has now no problems with them now. They try to scam people into getting things fixed that don't need to be fixed on and by the way they won't show you in person the actual problem.Somersworth Nissan-Hyundai, Inc.

****,
Thank you so much for the feedback on your most recent experience. I did pull all of the records from both visits, and I did want to confirm that you received the photos we had sent confirming these repairs that were needed. This helps with any confusion as to why something would be recommended. Attached to both repair orders were photos of both the Oil Pan leak, and the brake line leak. If you did not receive these photos, please let me know and I will be happy to forward them along.E. A.

Pictures were received and reviewed in person by another mechanic. No leak was visible in any of the pictures and no leak was detected by the other mechanic. When brought back second time this so called oil pan leak was never brought up by your mechanic when I did nothing to it.Review fromJennifer L

1 starI recently purchased a 2018 Jeep Compass from Nissan of Somersworth. When I test drove the Jeep, it ran nice, felt good and all the bells and whistles "seemed" to work. The day after I handed over a pretty big check and drove off the lot, multiple friends and family tried to figure out how to work the computer system in the dash. The stations were all static, we were unable to pair my phone with the Jeep and the Bluetooth was not working. When I call someone, I can hear them but they cannot hear me. I took the Jeep to a Jeep dealership to see if we could get some type of resolution. Come to find out, the computer system in the dashboard is an aftermarket product and Nissan did not disclose this to me or check the system to see if it even worked "correctly". Very poor on Nissan's part. We took the Jeep back to Nissan to let them know I was having issues with the computer system. The Bluetooth does not work and the radio stations are also static. We had hoped that Nissan would offer to replace the computer system however, they were not willing to do that and offered me a $200 service credit instead. I was so frustrated and shocked as this is just simply not good business practice and certainly the complete opposite of good customer service. Now I have to spend an extra $1100 that I don't really have on a new computer system. Ultimately this Nissan dealership sold me a vehicle with a dash/computer system that does not work and would not replace it once we noticed soon after. When you buy a car, most everyone has certain expectations that certain things are going to work and the radio and Bluetooth are definitely two of them. I will never shop at this Nissan dealership again. It's been a very big headache. What they got away with was wrong! Buyer beware!Review fromAlma H

Let me start with the fact that we bought two cars from this dealership. They seemed alright and since I was paying for the vehicles, not leasing or financing, they gave me an alright deal.
After purchasing the vehicles, we have been dealing mostly with the service department. The service department has recently been lowering its quality and friendliness. My wife had her tires swapped today and was notified that a junior mechanic put one tire on the wrong way (which is fine) and that she would have to wait an extra thirty minutes.
When she came home, she complained about how sticky the steering wheel was and how the inside of the car looked "dirty". I went out and instantly saw a couple of grease handprints on the outside. I called the dealership and they said to bring it in. When I got there, the service manager on staff said that his boss told him to only fix the steering wheel and that I should go to a carwash to fix anything else. With the steering wheel wiped clean by my wife and I, the rest of the inside needed cleaning, of which, they refused.
I went to a carwash and still saw the grease stains on the outside. Went back to the dealership and the service manager essentially told me to screw off. We are switching the dealership we are getting service from and are disappointed in the poor service.Somersworth Nissan-Hyundai, Inc.
