I booked this nasty motel online through *******. When checking in, a credit card was required for a TEMPORARY HOLD. My credit card was fully charged for $175. The manager **** said she wrongly charged the credit card and a refund would be issued. That was two weeks ago and no refund has been issued. When I called **** back, she stated slander and hung up on me. I left a message stating that a refund is required by end of the week and that *********** has opened a fraud investigation. Still no refund.

On July 6th we had booked a room at Belmar Inn through govx.com. member deals. An accessible room was requested at the time of the booking. We got to the hotel and there were steps to get in the hotel which was fine. My disabled husband could manage the steps to get to the lobby. We were then given our room key for a second floor room with 14 to 15 stairs to get to the room. This was totally unmanageable for my husband. We requested a refund through member deals.com and they said the hotel declined the request. The room was unsafe for my husband. There was also no parking available (handicapped or otherwise).

    HI

It states clearly everywhere only that our establishment is not handicap accessible. The customers did call and confirmed as well and we did mention that the room is on 2nd floor and that we are not handicap accessible.

The customers knowing the above fact made a non refundable reservation via online travel website. As per the policy the reservation is not refundable unfortunately.

I would advice to contact the travel website where the customer booked the room and see if they can do something in regards to the credit.

    Thank you

    Belmar Inn.

I am rejecting this response because:

When the room was booked it was not stated that there were no handicapped accessible rooms. The website from where the room was booked, a handicapped room was requested. I did not know there were no handicapped accessible rooms until the day before and the person at the stated there were just a few steps. This was not the truth as there were 2 flights of stairs. There were rooms on the first floor which would have been accessible but these were not offered to us.

    Regards,
