I contracted with them in the summer of 2021 to install solar panels on my house. The panels were installed in August 2021 but still have not been hooked up. They keep giving all kinds of excuses about why the system is not functioning. I contacted ******************* and was advised that Vision Solar still has not filed the following with them (all of which are required before Eversource will hook up the system):Certificate of Completion,Schedule Z,Photos of **************Business Response

Hello ***************************, thank you for taking the time to speak with me regarding your solar project. As discussed, you passed the final electrical inspection on 7/19, but still need a final building inspection. This requires a final affidavit from our engineer. We still need a few better pictures of the rooftop, showing the mounts in order to get this final affidavit completed. I have followed up with our regional field manager to see when we can have a technician come out to obtain these pictures so we can then send them to our engineer to be stamped off. After the final building we can submit all the required documents over to your utility company for permission to operate. In regards to the reimbursements, I see *********** reimbursements are currently pending. We will try ot get these expedited to you for payment. I will continue to reach out to you with updates as I receive them, but in the meantime if you have questions, please do not hesitate to call the concierge department.Customer Answer

Hello ***************************, thank you for taking the time to speak with me today regarding your solar project. As discussed, we have made the corrections for the permission to operation application that was submitted to Eversource. After the application is approved, Eversource will then swap your meter and give us the approval to turn the system on. On the other hand, as you stated, the final building inspection is scheduled for Tuesday 9/6. In regards to the reimbursements, they have been submitted and I have escalated this to my senior management, to see if it can be expedited in any way. I signed the agreement with Vison Solar 3/15/22. Panels were installed in the beginning of May 2022. I have not heard from them since. I have call Vision Solar 7 times , with out any updates except that they are waiting for their inspection team to schedule an inspection.Business Response

Hello *************************, thank you for taking the time to speak with me regarding your project. As discussed, we have to request an inspection through the portal, so hopefully we have a date within the upcoming weeks. The reason it has taken a little longer than expected is because the plans were revised back in June and also we had to wait for a post install letter from our engineer. This was received 8/3, so we are now just waiting to hear back from the township with a date. I will continue to follow up with updates as I receive them. Last March I was contacted by Solar Vision about installing a solar electric system on my home. Being caught up by the concept, I signed on with them. The panels were installed shortly thereafter That is where progress came to a halt. I got on the phone with their concierge service at least once a week to find out what was happening with my dormant system and was always met with Oh were waiting for permits, approvals, inspections, blah, blah blah, Waiting??? How about doing what Im doing and get on the phone to shake things loose?Even with my weekly or semi weekly calls, I was given the runaround for 4 months with my system not generating a milliwatt during the sunniest part of the year. After my being jerked around for 4 months, my new meter was installed. It took 2 more calls to their concierge service to be told how to turn the system on. (approximately Aug. 1)Is it generating power now? NO!! My most recent electric **** is actually GREATER than last months ****. A detailed and strongly worded email to Solar Vision brought a tepid gee, were sorry response. I WANT MY SYSTEM TO WORK!!Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:On March 24, 2022 Vision Solar installed solar panels on my roof and connected them to my system. In doing so they broke the seal on my electric meter, for which my electric company fined me $100. I told Vision Solar about the fine, and after some foot-dragging, they agreed that they owed me that amount. I have contacted them numerous times since then, asking where my check is, always with the promise they would put it on priority. I STILL haven't gotten my reimbursement! I want my money!

TLDR:I now have:- A damaged roof - An extra bill for absolutely nothing - Solar panels that don't do anything - Damaged relationship with my spouse because I talked her into signing up with this company. After the impressive sales meeting at my home in November 2021, I signed up to have them installed. I asked them about permits and they stated that it is against the law for my city and HOA to deny Solar panels. I still went ahead and obtained permits from my HOA, because they could still fine me $100 a day and I didn't want any problems. It took almost 2 months to get the permit and the entire time Vision Solar continuously contacted me via text, email, and phone to pressure me into getting the panels installed ASAP. When the permit came in, I went and had the panels installed in Feb 2022. They came quickly, did a three day rush job and left my roof with damaged shingles and holes. They had their in-house inspectors approve everything. It wasn't until rainy season started in early June that I noticed leaks in my roof. A third-party roofer came out and confirmed the damage was from the solar panels. I contacted them relentlessly for someone to come out and fix the issue. It is now mid-August 2022 and the issue has not been resolved. Also, that permit that they said was not important to obtain from the city actually is extremely important. Without it we can't have the solar panels connected to the electric company's power grid. So we have non-functioning panels on our roof that do nothing until whenever the city actually approves the panels and they are connected to the grid. Furthermore, and this is the MOST egregious part, once the panels are installed, ******** financial (or whatever lender you end up with) will start to charge you within 3 months of installation regardless of whether or not the solar panels connect to the power grid. So I'm paying my regular electric bill which avgs over $300 a month, and now $223 a month to ******** financial.Business Response

I have already filed one complaint against this company. I am at my wits end . I arranged to get solar in Sept of 2021 and here we are in August of 2022. I have been paying a loan for 10 months. Getting reimbursed is like pulling teeth. They finally go all my permits a at least 6 weeks and submitted with national grid to approve. National grid rejected saying the needed a picture of something . Now its been 4 weeks and they can't send one person to take the picture. I can't understand how they can run a business this way. I have talked to 3 people with still no resolution and no solar. A year really. They owe me 4 months of reimbursements and they need to complete my solar. This is a nightmare. I am paying a huge electrical **** because the can not finish project.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:Good day *********; the following is a brief excerpt of whats happened with Vision Solar since you and I spoke yesterday.
I got a call from Vision Solar yesterday about scheduling an inspection. I agreed to meet with them today and did just finished with a Technitian from their organization. However, from talking to the individual I got the the sense that Vision Solar is either putting up a front or just trying to buy time. The inspection done this time around is no different from the inspection done the last time someone came to my house for inspection three weeks, going to four weeks ago. Then the representative tells me he has to verify with my City if theyve approved the work on my house. Alas,*** had to pay my City three separate visits and every time I did they tell me the ball is the Vision Solars court. So, Ive come to conclude that Ill go on the premise that the finishing of the work is still PENDING and will remain so unless you hear otherwise from me.
And of course my line of communication will remain open to you to respond to any future questions or instructions you may have for. I thank you for your accommodations. Much regards and i thank you very much.

We signed our contract to have Vision Solar install solar panels on our house on November 2021. The panels are installed but have not been "turned on" even though we are now paying for their loan. Everytime we call, we are told they are waiting for the "township permits" or "for inspection". Neither is true! According to Township, they are finished with all involved with VisionSolar. PECO, the electric company, who I have contacted on numerous occasions, also states they are waiting for VisionSolar to provide information they should have by now. I have nowhere to turn to since I can get nothing accomplished by phone calls or emails. Can you please help?Thank you!Business Response

These were submitted on 6/24. The building department informed us that this is currently in review with the zoning department. We will follow up on this early next week to see if there is a status update. Once this revision is approved, we can then proceed with scheduling an inspection date. Also, in regards to the solar bills you have received, we can reimburse you for them. We just need a proof of payment of each, so we can then submit it to accounting. You informed me you would wait until the system is on, so you can then submit them all at once. I will continue to follow up and provide updates as I receive them. I signed a contract with Vision Solar of ** on December 30 2021 for the installation of solar panels on my roof. The finance company that Vision Solar contracted me with ******************** out of SD, started withdrawing payment from my check in the amount of $166.45. After months of daily phone calls to Vision Solar and *******************************. to help get the process approved it was determined that the panels that were installed on my roof in March were not able to be approved for proper permits to be issued. As of July 26, 2022 I received a e-mail from *************************** that the system must be removed and reinstalled with a new system that will be able to be permitted. I feel my current contract with Vision Solar should be null and void and a new contract with updated information ie: dates, new system information, new dates for payments to finance company. All of the monies that have been withdrawn from my bank should be returned immediately, and a new schedule should be put in place, along with changing the date of my loan re-amortization. Vision solar installed panels on my home September 2021. In March of 2022 I began paying Goodleap $131.37 a month for the lease of these panels. The panels are not turned on so now I am paying PSEg and Goodleap. Vision Solar says they will reimburse my for payments that will take 8 weeks to receive. I have not gotten any refunds so far. Now Im told they made a mistake and need to remove 3 panels. It has been over a month and no one can tell me when this will be done because they need to figure out how to compensate me. I have tried to cancel the entire thing but Goodleap is separate from Vision Solar and they will not let me cancel the contract. I need help. I want the panels turned on and I want my refunds for payments they owe me since March 2022 and the reimbursement for the 3 panels once they are removed.Business Response

Hello *************************, it was a pleasure speaking with you regarding your project. As discussed, we have scheduled a filed service work on 8/9/22. Once this completed, we can then proceed forward with setting an inspection date. In regards to the reimbursements, March-June payments ($131.82 each) are all currently pending. You also are going to be sending over proof of payment of your recent bill, where this will be submitted. I am escalating this to my senior management to expedite this payment. We also discussed that you are to be compensated for the removal of the panels. I will be reaching out with updates as I receive them, but if you have any questions in the meantime, please give me a call.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
The director that will be making the decisions on my reimbursements is not responding in a timely manner. ******* has helped by getting the panels removed but there is still no resolution for the reimbursement of my payments from March-July 2022. I know there will still be a reimbursement for the 4 panels that were removed but since this was not any fault of mi e I should not have to wait to get these monies. I have been working with Vision Solar for 10 months now. This should have been resolved a long time ago. Not sure why the director cannot get things completed. My account should be at the top of whatever list that is used so that this can be finished and I can move on.

I am rejecting this response because:
I have been told for the last 6 months that things would be moving forward and there are obstacles that keep coming up. I find it hard to understand why it has taken almost a year to decide that 4 panels needed to be removed. Now I am back to square one waiting for the developers to reassess before it goes back to the inspector for the second or third time. And it has been a ridiculous journey. ** told that I am going to be reimbursed for the monthly payments Ive made since March as well as for the 4 panels that were remove. It should not take this long to remedy something that you are responsible for.

Hello *************************, thank you for taking the time to speak with me regarding your solar project. As discussed, we received the revision approval and the documentation back in office as of yesterday 8/31/2022. We will now schedule an inspection with your township. In regards to compensation for the loss of the 4 panels, this will not be issued until after your system is operational. For the reimbursement of the solar payments, these are still in process with accounting. I will follow up again with senior management on this matter. Also, I will continue to keep you in the loop with any updates I receive regarding your project. If you have any questions or concerns in the meantime, please give me a call. Thank you!Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
After the panels were removed the roof is leaking and it had been a month with no response from the roofing company they use. This is yet another critical problem that has not been addressed. I still have not received refunds for payments made since March. I am also waiting for whatever paperwork needs to be completed from when the panels were removed so the inspector can do a final inspection for the 3rd time. Apparently this needs to be completed before a refund for the solar panels that were removed
The panels were put on my house 1 year ago.
