    On 4/3/23 signed a contract for a head stone for my father. Handed over a check for a down payment. Was promised delivery by August 2023.Received email on 5/5//23 from GriffinPiper<*****************************************>to approve final digital design.Since then I have not received an email nor telephone call on update.Started calling number ************ per email and get busy signal.On 9/28/23 called cemetery to ask if they know anything about company and was informed they heard that it is a fraudulent company. It is going to be a year and I need to put my father to rest. I will have to seek another company but to do so, I need my money back.

    my husband passed away and i purchased a headstone from them - i paid more than half of the bill and they closed their doors and did not return my deposit or pass my order onto another provider i do not have the money to start over with the purchase and would like them to refund my money the took and did not provide the headstone

    On March 15, 2023 I signed a contract with Colonial Memorials, ***** to make a polished gray Barra granite foot stone (24"x12"x4") to be delivered and installed at my deceased husband's gravesite. The principal of Colonial Memorials, *************************** requested payment in full in the form of a check in the amount of $2600.00. They never made the foot stone, nor refunded my money. On August 5, 2023, I received a letter saying they are meeting with their attorney in contemplation of filing for bankruptcy. I am mystified how they could file for bankruptcy, when I read there are some **************** ** who also paid thousands of dollars for gravesite memorials, but none were ever provided and no refunds were ever issued. I read that the ** State Attorney General came to an agreement with Colonial Memorials, but to my knowledge nothing has been done in ********** to reimburse customers. I would like a refund of $2600.00.

    Company mis representing our Cemetery, informing customers he is from our cemetery to sell monuments. Refund customer deposits!!

    I am filing a complaint against Colonial Memorials ************************************************************************************ ************. I have a contract with this company to prepare and install a headstone at my husbands grave site. The contract is dated 10/1/2022; the approximate delivery date is June, 2023, contingent on foundation and weather conditions. The foundation has been in place since April and was confirmed by Colonial Memorials on May 19, 2023. My check for $10,400 was cashed by them. My daughter and I have contacted Colonial Memorials throughout this time by email and leaving phone messages. Our phone messages have not been answered. We have received excuses, by e-mail, but no meaningful information other than a picture of what appears to be the completed gravestone. At this time, with no satisfactory response or explanation, I am convinced that Colonial Memorials has no intention of delivering my husbands headstone. I have contacted them numerous times requesting a refund by cashiers check. I have received no response. My husbands date of death is June 16, 2022. It is painful and unsettling to see his grave still unmarked after a year. Please help me get my refund so I can contact a reliable company to serve me. Sincerely, *****************************

    My husband ******* passed away 2/27. On 3/25/23 we met with *************************** who had called my father in law saying that he worked with my husbands cemetery (St. ********* in Colonia). ******* came to our house and worked with us to design the headstone. He also stated that his wife had died in September, which was a lie. **** had us sign paperwork and we paid half of the amount of the headstone. Then a week later, we received a letter from him saying that we needed a $100 check in Colonial Memorials name for them to cash and then give to the cemetery for a headstone permit. We also sent this in. Both the half payment and $100 were cashed (in **). **** told ** in about two weeks we would hear from the company. After 4 weeks, we started calling and leaving voicemails and emails but there has been no response. These numbers were on his business card and the receipt. His website is no longer working. The cemetery and Archdiocese have no permit order from Colonial Memorials. Upon googling *********************, I came across his extensive scamming history in news articles and I am now convinced that I was also preyed upon and scammed during my husbands death.

    We will be processing a refund on the contract.
    The sales contract had her Father in Law contact info and we had been communicating with him because I believe he owns the grave.
    I had conversations with her about that and thought it had been resolved and she requested to talk to **** which she did.
    We both thought it was resolved but she then requested to cancel the contract and request a refund.
    Will check on the status of that.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    -I spoke to **** and **** only AFTER they had been reported to the BBB.  They did not make attempts to contact me or my father in law prior to this date, only after. 

    -I left SEVERAL voicemails/emails to **** as well as *********  After the initial contact with **** and saying I wanted a refund, I was directed to ***************************** said ok to refund and then told me **** was the one who was in charge of the refund process.  After I tried calling **** to follow up on this, he no longer responded to my voicemails or emails.  

    -After several more emails and phone calls, **** emailed me back.  I said that I want a refund and my cemetery deed back in 10 business days.  **** agreed to this.  That was 5/12. No refund has been received as of 5/25.  Day 10 is tomorrow 5/25. I cannot resolve this complaint until my refund and deed are received.

    On February 4 *****, ****************** from Colonial Memorials called my home phone number and asked me if had ordered a headstone yet I replied no. He then said "I can solve that problem for you, I can come to your home and help you choose one". ****************** from Colonial Memorials came to my home on February 5***** at 10:00 am to design and sell me a cemetery headstone for my husband. The memorial consultant ******* requested full payment of ******** up front which I did by check in full. My contract states that the approximate delivery date is mid-late summer 2022. I contacted ******* by phone late July2022, his response was "can't help you right now with a date", told me to call the main office, **************. I called and left a message, no one has called me from the office since. Today, October 21, 2022, I called ******************** phone number again and left a message requesting a full refund. I also called the phone number on ****************** business card and contacted someone named *** at ************** requesting a refund and a response. There are 2 main numbers for Colonial Memorials as follows, ************** and **************.
