    10.29.24 at approximately 6:30 am one of our vehicles was involved in an accident on Route 206 and Dukes Parkway East. Somerset Hills Towing was called out to the accident, at that time I was present onsite and asked if the truck could get towed to our yard on *** ******** ****., which was within 5 mins of the accident. The driver refused and stated it needed to go back to there yard in Bridgewater. After several hours and attempts by phone and email to get Somerset Hills Towing to release the truck to our own Tow Truck company, we sent one of our employee's there. They refused again to release the truck to us and kept stating the bill wasn't' ready. After approximately 10 hours they stated the invoice was ready.

    Upon arrival at the tow yard, we were issued a bill for $2,700.00 to tow a 1999 Ford F-350 which is absurd. At that time I called Keith, to make him aware of the charge, he stated for me not to pay the invoice and they could keep the truck. After going and forth, Somerset Hills Towing eventually reduced the bill to $2,022.69 which we had to pay to get the truck released.

    I have contacted another tow company as well and the tow at most should of only been $450.00

    My son was in a hit run on the highway, State troopers called Somerset hill towing company. We ask to have car delivered to our house , tow driver said no has to go to yard cause of accident, state trooper and said thats not normal . They held my car there to they rate of chargers almost **** . My insurance tried to get the car several times the put them to voicemail then wouldnt give them a price until they got it high enough . I had to get the police involved

    My father in law was in an accident with my vehicle. We went to get his medication out of the car and told us we couldnt because it was after 5pm. We live 2 hours away and called the next morning asking to release the vehicle and an invoices for charges. This was at 9 am by 1:30 I still did not have an invoice to release my vehicle. I then called the ***************************** to contact them as when you call you are directed straight to a voicemail. Told them I needed that vehicle towed to our location because we had no way of getting there and we needed my father in laws medications. Officer called them and they said they are generating bill now. Was still over an hour later before I had to call again! Also want to mention accident took place on a Thursday night and now trying to get a vehicle on a Friday where they are trying to push out charges until at least Monday. Of course tow truck driver got stuck in traffic and might be a few minutes after 5 their response was if he isnt here by 5 we cant help. Talk about criminal! Because of the hassle and aggravation I request the charges for the tow be refunded. There needs to be better laws on what these tow companies can do!
