    Hired Alehome Renovations on 10/07/2024 to remodel my condo (*** ***** **, ********* ****, Nj, ***** unit **). Contracted to remodel my kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, all floors, replace 3 sliding doors, stairway railing/banister and fix leak coming from upstairs balcony to downstairs. Contract was agreed on 10/07/2024 for price of $73,660.00. Was told would take approximately 2 months. 10/17/2024 wired half amount of agreed price of $40,000 to begin work and order material needed. Wire transfer was sent and received by Alehome. Reference # ****************. Job was started next day with demolition of condo. On 11/20/2024 Alehome asked for $21,200 to start the remodeling of condo. Wire transfer was sent. Reference # ****************. Alehome stopped work for Christmas and New Years holiday. Alehome asked for more money during that time. I told him no till renovation was moving along. January 2025 still asking for more money and did not restart work. Said started another job. Febuary 2025 requested the rest of the money or would not continue. All that was done to this point was the demolition and partial fixing of the leak. We fought at this point agreed I would pay him the remainder of the $17,000 in 2 parts when work was restarted and he would complete the job in 3 weeks. Wired $10,000 on 2/20/2025 to Alehome. Reference # ****************. He had someone do the upstairs floors. Then requested additional $2,400 because could not reuse bedroom flooring as originally told he could. Sent to him by *****. Wired $7,000 on 2/27/2025 per our agreement to finish the job. Reference # ****************. Since that wire transfer he has not done any work after the flooring. He has made many excuses. Telling he will come and never showed up. It has been 7 months and only thing that was done was demolition and upstairs flooring. I have been paying HOA, taxes and rent at another location to live, for this time period. I am requesting he either finishes asap or return my money

    this projwct i will respond , i can refund the money for payments because I dont the whole amount with me , i pay workers and material we use in the job .

    I am rejecting this response because:


    The contractor offered a payment plan prior to today, however no payment was transferred as refund for the defected work. It took him less than two weeks to blow through this money and yet he dares to request more time to pay back. 
    we are willing to consider a 3 months payment plan of :

    November - 4,911.55

    December- 4,911.55

    January  - 4,911.55

    for the total amount of 14,734.65. 

    if we will not receive the first payment in November, we will continue with legal action.
