  8/8/2023. I was on my way out the driveway when I was approached by a representative of Roadworxx. He said they were doing a job down the street and that they had some left over material. He noticed that the front of the driveway needed repair. He estimated that they had enough blacktop to do about a 10ftx10ft area and he would charge $4.50 per square foot or $450. I agreed to the $450. I returned home about 40minutes later to find 7 or 8 Roadworxx employees, a steam roller, dump truck and a machine dropping a first coat of blacktop. They had covered approximately 128' x 12' of the first coat of blacktop. I told the Roadworxx employee that I had not authorized the additional paving and we had agreed to $450. I told him that I would only pay up to a total of $1000. We went up to his boss who said they were up to $8,000 to $9,000. I said that I only agreed to $1k and they agreed to drop the sq ft charge to $4.25/sqft and would reduce the total fee to $7500. Not only did I not authorize $7,500 they overcharged by $1,000 (128ftx12ft=1536sqftx$4.25=$6,528). Unfortunately, to avoid any altercations, I gave them $1k in cash and a check for the remainder (which I put a stop payment on). I am assuming the person down the street paid for the "extra material" and the $1k covered the 2 1/2hrs they worked on my driveway.

  On May 12, ************************* knocked on my door saying he had extra asphalt and would give me a good estimate for paving partial driveway. I agree, but before he started, I asked if I should move my Lexus from the driveway, **************************** told me no, that there was enough room for him to do the paving. I later found my Lexus dented on the right rear bumper. The cover was tied and I was not informed of the damage. I contacted ***************************** and told him about the condition of my car and how I found the cover tied. He agreed to pay for the damages verbally and in writing. It's been now almost a month and I have been trying to get payment for the damages incurred. I have also asked him numerous times for his insurance information with no avail.***************************** said his company has a good reputation and is a third generation company. That his word was important to the companies reputation.
