We had our Leaf Guard installed 11/8/2022. First I was concerned about the ice cycles and called about that and then the pipe near our bedroom woke us up with the dripping. Someone did come but he said he couldn't do anything because of an ice block. So we starting calling to have him come again he gave us dates but never came. We removed the part that caused the noise. Then a pipe on the side of the house is draining into a flower bed and the dirt and mulch is going into our neighbors yard. We have called numerous times in the past 3 weeks and have been told they would call us back. I expect better customer service considering the amout we paid for the gutters.Business Response

After the second hail storm in ***** in Aug 2022 we contacted Leaf Guard to come out and take a look at our gutters. They did and said that we needed to put a $500.00 deposit down to get our "workorder" on the books. We wrote out a check which was cashed on Aug 19, 2022. We contacted Leafguard in Oct/Nov to check when it was our turn and could never get anyone to answer the phone. I texted the old GM on 12/27/2022 and said we would like to cancel our order and have our check refunded. He agreed and said a check would be sent in 10 to 14 days. On Feb 16, 2023 we received a call from ******************************* that he was the new GM and would like to get us scheduled for installation. I called him back the same day and said that we had an agreement with his predecessor to get our deposit check back. He stated " well if Leafguard owes you the money we are going to get a check to you" I have since texted ************************* on 2/27 2/28 3/22 and I have called him on 3/2 3/7/ 4/3 4/4 4/10 and 4/14. After the 4/3 call I am sure he is not picking up my calls. Please help we could really use our deposit check back. Thank youBusiness Response

In March **************************************** our gutters. We contacted ********* about the issue and they came out within a few days to clear out the nest. However a week later the bird returned and brought company. I contacted ********* again. They ended up removing about 6 birds nests. Within another week the birds were back. By this point we were done dealing with the birds so I contacted ********* again but this time to request the removal of the gutters and a full refund as is obligated to **. We are with our 2 year warranty. However the managers are giving me the run around and acting as if they have no idea if they are allowed to refund me. However, according to their sales person and the Good Housekeeping seal of approval, a refund is allowed when the gutters are clogging or defective. They are clogging due to birds building multiple nests which also makes the design defective.Business Response

The LeafGuard gutter system's warranty does cover clogs which impede the flow of water into / through a downspout. However this warranty is limitative to debris, and non-inclusive of wildlife issues which have occurred on the customer's home. Nevertheless, in a good faith effort to assist our customer, we have visited their home on occasions including, but not limited to 3/9; 4/11; and 4/18 during which the aforementioned birds nests were removed. On the last visit 4/24, we not only removed nesting material, but also replaced an entire section of the customer's gutter, also installing decoy owls to discourage the return of the birds, as well as using a non toxic animal repellent inside the gutters to discourage the animals making their nest inside.

I am rejecting this response because:On June 5th 2021, I purchased gutters from LeafGuard, which are claimed to be designed for clog-free and maintenance-free use. A sales representative informed me that the product also carries the Better Housekeeping seal of approval, offering a money-back guarantee should a customer be dissatisfied for any reason.
Unfortunately, a group of birds has built nests inside the gutters, obstructing proper water drainage. I have attempted to communicate this issue to the general manager and requested removal and refund for the gutters, but to no avail. I have contacted the company numerous times to have the nests cleared, with technicians attending on the following dates:
- March 9, 9:02 AM
- April 7, 9:13 AM
- April 11, 9:14 AM
- April 18, 10:14 AM
- April 24, 7:43 AM
Although I contacted the company multiple times about clearing out the nests, one of the managers (*********) expressed frustration at sending staff to consistently address the issue. This is problematic as your website states that you will come out free of charge to clean any clogged gutters. Per your warranty, the installing dealer is responsible for ensuring that the LeafGuard system performs as designed, and it is their sole responsibility to provide a proper resolution for any clogged gutters.
Despite my attempts to resolve this issue through your customer service channels, including a complaint filed with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), the problem persists. Recently, your team replaced a row of gutters, applied bird repellent, and installed fake owls; however, the birds returned and built a new nest within hours.
The presence of these birds creates health risks to my family due to bird f**** and the potential for disease transmission, including avian tuberculosis, erysipelas, ornithosis, cryptococcosis, histoplasmosis, salmonellosis, cryptosporidiosis, campylobacterosis, and escherichiosis. My three young children could be exposed to these diseases, causing a genuine concern for their health.
I am hopeful that we can resolve this matter amicably.

Ms. ****************** you for bringing these matters to our attention. While we certainly empathize with your situation and the ramifications this *** have, our warranties do state that we protect against clogs caused by debris; and that should such a situation arise, we will remove the clog if it impedes the clog at no cost to you, in the case that such a clog impedes the flow of water to the downspout.
Although what we have found in your system is not debris, but rather material introduced into your system by wildlife we have gone out on multiple occasions to remove this material, outside of the normal scope of our warranty as a good faith effort by our company. The only occasion in which we have ceased to do so, is while this claim is in mediation through the Better Business Bureau.
Although this situation is outside of our warranty, we have come up with another solution that *** help with this situation and would be happy to implement this for you at no additional cost should you be open to it.

Complaint: 19961236I am open to a permanent solution that will discontinue my frequent calls to Leafguard to have the gutters cleaned out.
Leafguard gutters are advertised as maintenance free. While I fully understand the company has no control over wildlife, I would appreciate if the gutters would remain maintenance free as advertised. We chose Leafguard for this specific reason. We paid more than double for the gutters than what your competitors charge so that we would not have to worry about any type of maintenance.
Again, I am open to hear what your solution is as long as it is a permanent solution.

The amount that I owe is $4324.00, to be paid within 60 months with no interest. $72.00 per a month. The contract that I'm sending is the one should of been entered. I rec'd a statement from ******** Bank saying that my payments are $115.00 month with 20% interest. I've called Leafguard and they said they would cancel the payment from the bank and process thru some one else. So far, nothing has happen. We signed up for Leaf Guard to come to our house to give us an estimate at a home show in our town. The home show had a special where you would get a $100 **** Gift Card if you let them come do the estimate. Leaf Guard came out to our house on 2/8/23. We did not sign the contract and asked about the gift card at the end of the presentation. The salesman said he would turn in the paperwork that Friday. I called to check on the status of the gift card on 3/21/23 and was told someone would contact me to make sure we got it. I followed up again on 4/3/23 and was told the gift card had been mailed and someone should be contacting me. To date no gift card has been received and there has been no contact from LeafGuard.Business Response

I said you have to replaced that board or cut off that rot..soyou cant put the white soffit, #1 I said ***** #2 that board has to be dealt with, I called the office, This man answer as ******. I tell him, they are not listening don't you have the order from your sale men *********** he apologized and stated he will call ***** because his order says half white and 1/2 brown. so I call ***** he says, my apologies I guess I didn't make it clear that's my fault.. ok, I waited noon, 1pm 2pm 3pm they are not coming back, ***** tells me every things under control,: you mean they didn't call you?" I said no they didn't. so he tells me they will be back tomorrow, WHATEVER!! Gutters were installed 4/1/22. Payment was $13,000 while 2 subsequent estimates were $3,800 and $4250. Price gouging in ** is illegal during the pandemic and I would like to settle this grossly overpriced job. If this dispute can reasonably be settled, we can avoid sending the contract and 2 pre pandemic estimates to the ** attorney general for investigation. We provided this work at no charge for ***************** He was pleased with the work completed.

Leafguard came to my house 0n 7/20/22 after giving their free estimate, I was told I would get $100 if I did not go with their estimate.But unitl today, I have not received any gift check from them and it looks like their advertisement saying the customer will be given $100 gift card **** a free estimate is Bogus and cheatful.I would like to recieve this Gift card for $100 from Leaf Guard as soon as possible. My problem is a dispute with Leafguard over completed payments. Total due to Leafguard was $8231 (see letter dated January 2023 from Leafguard with total amount due). My credit card was charged for $2743 on 12/10/2021 and $5488 on 12/12/2021 (see attached credit card statement). On Jan 13 2022, Leafguard also cashed a check written 12/9/2021 also for $2743 (see attached checking statement). On the initial day of service 12/9/21 the check written for deposit did not clear and I subsequently paid by credit card the amount of $2743. I contacted Leafguard about the overpayment of $2743 via check since it had been also paid by credit card and they were not willing to refund the amount. I contacted my bank about the overpayment and confirmed the check dated 12/9/2021 was paid to Leafguard on January 13, 2022. My bank opened an investigation and my bank, who is also my credit card issuer, issued me a refund to my credit card in March 2022. I have corresponded with Leafguard General Managers Scott M*******, Michael S***** and Chandler G************ of Leafguard DC on three separate occasions. I have provided bank and credit card statements as requested to show documentation of the complete payments. In January 2023, I have received notice that the account remains unpaid and a notice of involving a collections agency. My last correspondence by email with Leafguard was Oct 18 2022, providing bank and credit card statements for the 2nd time. I was told by Mr. G************ that he was in receipt of my documents and was working to close the matter. He stated he would get back to me, however, he did not confirm via email that this was resolved. I can provide emails if needed.Business Response

Our records show A down payment of $2743 was collected on 12/09/21 and the balance of $5488 was collected on 12/11/21
It appears because the down payment was declined at first and then later approved it still appeared as an outstanding balance of $2743.
