My problem is a dispute with Leafguard over completed payments. Total due to Leafguard was $8231 (see letter dated January 2023 from Leafguard with total amount due). My credit card was charged for $2743 on 12/10/2021 and $5488 on 12/12/2021 (see attached credit card statement). On Jan 13 2022, Leafguard also cashed a check written 12/9/2021 also for $2743 (see attached checking statement). On the initial day of service 12/9/21 the check written for deposit did not clear and I subsequently paid by credit card the amount of $2743. I contacted Leafguard about the overpayment of $2743 via check since it had been also paid by credit card and they were not willing to refund the amount. I contacted my bank about the overpayment and confirmed the check dated 12/9/2021 was paid to Leafguard on January 13, 2022. My bank opened an investigation and my bank, who is also my credit card issuer, issued me a refund to my credit card in March 2022. I have corresponded with Leafguard General Managers Scott M*******, Michael S***** and Chandler G************ of Leafguard DC on three separate occasions. I have provided bank and credit card statements as requested to show documentation of the complete payments. In January 2023, I have received notice that the account remains unpaid and a notice of involving a collections agency. My last correspondence by email with Leafguard was Oct 18 2022, providing bank and credit card statements for the 2nd time. I was told by Mr. G************ that he was in receipt of my documents and was working to close the matter. He stated he would get back to me, however, he did not confirm via email that this was resolved. I can provide emails if needed.

Ms. ****** we have researched your claim that the final payment of $8231 has been fully paid.
Our records show A down payment of $2743 was collected on 12/09/21 and the balance of $5488 was collected on 12/11/21
It appears because the down payment was declined at first and then later approved it still appeared as an outstanding balance of $2743.
That has now been corrected in our system . Please disregard any future notices of payment due. And we apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused.

On 12/16/2021 I purchased new gutters from Leaf Guard for the amount of $19,383.00. The gutters were installed a week later. During the removal of my existing gutters and leaf guards my first and second row of shingles along with the hips on each of the corners were damage. When I came home after work I saw my 2 year old roof destroyed; I immediately called and sent pictures to Supervisor #1 ******. He came out the following day and agreed that the installers did do the damage. We both agreed the installers should have stopped with the removal of the existing gutters within the first ten feet and notify ****** of the situation. We could have waited for warmer weather, if that's what we needed to do to make the shingles more flexible to work with. ****** requested I get an estimate on repairs, which I did, March 1, 2022, but we both agreed to wait until warmer temperatures before repairs were made to see if any of the shingles would relax and lay down by themselves. By now it's *** and some of the shingles did lay down but most of them were cracked and never did go back to there original shape. So now comes the labor shortage and the company that installed my roof wasn't able to work it in their schedule before the temperature started to cool off so I had to go with another company. The roof was repaired to my satisfaction on Sept. 23 2022. I notified ****** about the repairs being finished and he said he was no longer working in this area and gave me Supervisor # 2 ****. **** pretty much went on defensive side not really understanding my problem. So I ask him if I needed to contact ****** the General Manager to get my problem resolved and he said no because he also didn't work in this area anymore either. On October 26 2022, **** said he would notify his Regional Manager # 1 and he would get in touch with me. Thirty days later, Nov. 21, 2022, I contacted **** again and he apologized and said that, that Regional Manger is no longer with the company and he would forward my complaint to Regional Manager # 2. So here we are 60 days later Jan. 22, 2023 and I'm still waiting on someone to reach out to me to get this problem resolved. All I want is to be reimbursed the $3,600 I spent to have my roof repaired.

Had 2 very reputable basement specialists from Milwaukee look at a water leak problem in the corner of my basement .Between 01/10/2021and 10/13/2023, Have some discoloration in the paneling and dampness in the carpet in the basement corner. On the outside of the corner is an underground drain system that extends to the street had leaf guard gutters and downspouts put on. t was recommended to me that I have the downspout that is connected to the underground drain disconnected because the system is so close to the foundation and is perforated drain tile and is probably clogged so any water that drains from the downspout is more or less seeping straight down into the basement. So I call Leaf Guard on approximately 01/12/2023 and ask if I can correct the problem by changing to the above ground with a downspout ext. They say No, they will Void the Warranty they will have someone call me. Got a call on 01/16/2023 which was Monday telling me I would get a call letting me know what day they would do the work. Well, it was now Friday 01/20/23 at noon no call Office Closes at 5 pm, and no Saturday Hours. So I call and ask the status of my change over I was told I was scheduled for Saturday 01/21/23 but did no a time would have a tech call me. Imagine THAT NO CALL!!!!! NO SHOW!!!!! I NEED IS FIXED BEFORE MORE DAMAGE IS DONE TO MT BASEMENT

To Whom It May ******************* ****** project included a boxed gutter conversion.  We subcontracted the carpentry work for the box gutter conversion to ******** Construction.  On November 10th ,2022,the final gutter was installed by Leafguard after the boxed gutter conversion was completed.  On November 16th, 2022, ************** called and let us know that the gutter was overshooting water onto his awning. Speaking with **************, we determined that there was a gap showing through his attic and allowing water in the home.  On November 17th ,2022,we sent ******** Construction back to the home to adjust his work to close the gap to prevent water from moving backwards.  On November 18th,2022, the order was finished and closed with the customer being satisfied with the fix.  On January 5th ,2023, ************** called and let us know he was having water coming in in the same location.  On January 6th,2023, Leafguard dispatched a service to the residence to inspect the problem.  *** service technician took pictures of the issue and documented in notes that he would need to evaluate a solution with the production manager.  On the morning of January 9th, 2023, the customer was contacted to let him know that additional metal flashing would need to be installed to ensure no water makes it back through the problem area.  ******** Construction was contacted, and a rush was put on the service to get them out there tomorrow, January 10th, 2023, to add metal flashing and resolve the issue.  *** customer was again contacted to let them know the course of action and the solution to fix the problem.  We also let the customer know that when the subcontractor gets done with the fix, we would send out a follow up service crew to water test the house to ensure no further leaking.  *** customer was happy with proposed plan of action.

Gutters are warranted. I am having an issue with the gutters so on Oct 21,2022 I called *************) and requested service. I was told I would get a return call within 24 hrs. On Oct 25,2022 I called again and this time someone returned my call, asked that I text some pictures of the problem areas and set up an appointment for Nov 5, 2022 between 10 and 11 AM. Nov 5th was a no show and I got no response when I called the cell phone. Nov 7th or 8th I repeated the call process, someone called me back and said my Appointment was Nov 14th. (I have the text I was sent stating Nov 5th). Because of a death in the family Nov 14th did not work for me so I was given an appointment for Nov 21 and told they started at 7:30 AM. On the 17th at 8:30 I received a call that they would be here at 1:00 PM, at 2:30 I received a call that they didnt think they had the right address.

I am rejecting this response because:

When my Leaf Guard gutters were installed Leaf Guard was represented by ************************ ** but this is no longer true. When I filed my **mplaint with you after 3 failed appointment attempts the ******** **mpany reached out to me and offered their services to address my gutter issues. They showed up a week later and fixed the issue. The email I sent to Gutter Guard was in response to a December 26th email they sent me saying they didnt have my address and **uld I send it to them. My response stated I  first **ntacted Leaf Guard on October 21st, its now December 26th and youre just realizing you dont have my address? The problem has been addressed by another more responsive **mpany.

By return email I got an out of office until Jan 3rd message.

My issues with my gutters have been resolved, my issues with Leaf Guard never were. Supposedly I have a lifetime warranty but I just wonder how much I can rely on that.

We have had leaf Guard do 3 complete do overs because of poor workmanship and 2 partial . The facia wrap is wavy and crooked, The front downspout was added after the salesman said we didn't need it. It has always leaked in the inside corner but has removed. Now the water overflows the gutter by the front porch, inside corner still leaks by the front porch. I cannot get a response since the last redo. I like the idea of the product but it does not look or work as promised. It seems the workers are not trained properly. I don't understand the A+ rating with a 1? review.

This issue was identified in September and not addressed properly by a former Manager. The BBB complaint was filed at approximately the same time that new production management got involved. Customer was contacted, service scheduled, and completed 11/7.

The local General Manager called the customer on 12/1 in response to the ******************** complaint.  He was as surprised that it was still active. He agreed that the issue has been successfully resolved, and was happy.

Contracted LeafGuard of Mich.(LGM) on 10/6/22) for gutter and down spout replacement. COST- $9,566,00.. for ***** sq.ft. ranch and 1 car attached garage. Concerns: the gutters were positioned lower on the faschia, the aluminum siding (1 place) was cut and in 2 locations the aluminum siding was bent backwards (exposing wood) to fit the gutter in. The The aluminum above the gutter was puckered as the gutter was secured by nails onto the fascia board. When asked why there was puckering and why the gutters were so low, the worker stated the roofers left tar on the fascia and that was how it had to be hung.On 10/7/22, called *************************** (TH), the production mgr. with my concerns. On 10/11/22) TH reviewed the project. I asked TH why the two young men who were doing the initial work did not tell me about the tat as I would have called the roofers immediately. ** responded that he told them to finish the project. On 10/15/22) TH and 1 of the 2 workmen from 10/6/22 came to fix the work. TH fixed the aluminum siding. He attempted to even out the puckering of the aluminum siding above the low pitched gutters by putting a strip of aluminum and nailing it to the faschia board . I came outside and asked him if the "tar" was the problem and TH responded that the ice guard was the problem, I offered to call the roofers and he said he had fixed it. It did not work as wavy sections of aluminum strip and the nails are very noticable. The roofers have come out twice - once after the initial gutter work and once again after the gutters were " fixed" . The new roof was put Ion 2 wks. prior to the gutter work. The initial workmanship waspoor and the repair did not work, therefore I am asking for the present gutters to be removed and a new set of gutters and down spouts to be put on my house. I am also going to file a complaint with the Mich. Attorney **************** .Thank you for reading my complaint.

On 11/23/2022 the Production Manager, PM, and Crew completed the install and the customer is happy. Customer said everything looks good. PM made sure to do everything to customers exact specifications. We removed all the gutters from the home. Removed all the wrap. Replaced all the bad wood. 40 of wood. Bent custom Fascia metal and installed. Re-installed all the gutter. We installed a new gutter in the rear of the home because one of the downspouts was removed. Added 20 of black pipe to get the water far from the foundation. Customer was happy and this was resolved **** months ago.  We are following up with the customer today to make sure that all is still good.

I am rejecting this response because:

I had a contractor come check the roof after the first leak. because i figured they would try to blame my roof.

this house was built by a contractor for his parents and it is made very well (over kill)

they have come to the house to fix the gutters many times and have only said its the roof the first time.

if it is our roof why dose the leak moves every time they come out to "fix" it

I am rejecting this response because:

I am still waiting for then to come do a water test

it will be the third one

also their response was something about our roof sagging

we have has a roofer come look at the roof and there is nothing wrong with it

the last gutters we had replaced because i did not want to clean them.  if you look at the picture of when we bought the house the were not ANY down spouts it the front of the house

leaf guard has put on two and the water runs over the gutter

one more thing I asked about then saying our roof is sagging and the manager for leaf guars said he did not think there was anything wrong with the roof and if they did he would have not spent thousand of dollars tryting to get them to work

I really would like our money back so we can go this a company that there product works

its going on three years now.

      and its very frustrating

      thank you for your help

I am rejecting this response because:

I need to wait till it rains to see if they fixed the gutters. When they were water testing the water was going over the gutter I called and told The leaf guard guy (i think his name is *********************) that the some of the water was still over shooting the gutter and not going in.

He said it will be fine. I told him we wont know till it rains

I would like to leave the complaint open till it rains because I dont believe the problem is fixed yet. But we will have to wait till it rains to know for sure

      Thank you for your help
